You Know You Love Me
"That's the second time this week you almost made us late!" Judy said as they walked into the meeting room together. "I'm not going to walk to work with you if you keep doing that, Nick!"
"Yes, you will," Nick replied with a grin. "You know you love me, sly bunny!"
"Do I know that? ...Yes, yes I do."
There was promptly a bunch of chatter from the other officers.
"Did you hear that? I knew they were together!"
"Ooh, for how long?"
"When were you gonna tell us?!"
Judy blinked. "Uh, what? I meant that jokingly."
"Yeah," Nick added, laughing. "Can't a fox tease a bunny without it being weird? We're not together. She's just one of the first mammals to support me, of course I care about her."
"Aww, that's so sweet of you, Nick." Judy grinned, elbowing him. "See, is it so hard to open up?"
Nick grinned back as they sat down. "Guess not!"
Oh. Their coworkers were appropriately embarrassed by this situation. Maybe being cops for so long had made them jump on any potential "evidence" a bit too quickly...
