It was a beautiful morning in the Great Barrier Reef. The sunlight shone through the ocean slides.
Nemo and Marlin were sleeping soundly in their sea anemone. Dory, in the other home of her own, was also sound asleep, snoring and talking in her sleep. Cheerfully, Nemo bursts awake and nudged his father, saying,
"Dad, wake up! We've got a big day today!"
"Nemo, seriously! It's too early; just give a couple of more minutes," Marlin responded sleepily.
Nemo sighed with annoyance, and then swam over to Dory, who was still sound asleep.
"Dory, wake up!" he whispered while nudging her.
Slowly but surely, Dory yawned and sleepily opened her eyes, but she shot up with joy, saying,
"Oh, good morning, Fabio!"
"My dad hasn't woken up yet," Nemo said.
"Oh, okay! Why don't you go wake the Tank Gang? I'll wake Marlin up for you," Dory responded.
"Oh, thanks, Dory!" Nemo said with a smile, and swam off to find and go into the Tank Gang's den.
Dory nodded and chuckled, and headed over to the sea anemone where Marlin was sleeping.
Meanwhile, the Tank Gang were sound asleep in their den, and Nemo swam over to his sleeping friends. He swam over to Gill, who slept soundly next to Peach, who did the same as she got her starfish back massaged by his fin.
"Gill, wake up! Wake up, wake up!" Nemo cried cheerfully as he nudged Gill.
Between snores, Gill stirred and groaned as he talked in his sleep,
"No, no, no... Get off my face..."
"Wait, what?" Nemo reacted in confusion.
As Gill snored on quietly, Peach muffled tiredly, as if her face was on the rocky mattress of hers and Gill's bedside.
"I can't hear you, Peach!" Nemo sighed a little.
Peach revealed her face and said,
"Oh, Nemo, honey, I'm up."
"Yippee! There's gonna be lots of fun to do. Let's go! Are you up?" Nemo asked cheerfully then.
Nodding, Peach yawned as she stretched her starfish limbs.
"Okay, Nemo, honey, why don't you wait outside? We'll be there!" Peach said.
Nemo nodded, and giggled as he swam out of the den's cave.
"Jacques?" Peach asked Jacques, who was sleeping next to her and Gill.
"Oui...?" he asked in his sleep.
"Are you up? Nemo wants us to do some more fun things," Peach said as she sat up.
Jacques slowly sat up, and stretched his legs. He rubbed his eyes and nodded, saying,
"Oui."
As Jacques paused, he stared at Gill, who was still sound asleep.
"Shall I wake him up for you?" he asked.
"Shh, let him sleep," Peach whispered.
"Oh, okay, le bien," Jacques responded quietly.
Then, he took Peach and held her in his hands, scuttling out of their cave.
As Deb slowly woke up, she eventually felt her daughter Trixie stir up, yawning. Deb smiled, and kissed her daughter in the forehead, whispering,
"Good morning, my little angel!"
As Trixie stared at her mother, she giggled and nuzzled her back. Deb turned to Bubbles, who was still sleeping soundly, and she nuzzled him with passion. Feeling the nuzzle, Bubbles woke up as he stretched his fins and tail. Bubbles turned to Deb with a smile, and he kissed her on the cheek.
"Morning to you, love," Bubbles whispered, which caused his mate to chuckle while blushing.
As Deb motioned Bubbles and Trixie to get their breakfast eaten while she's catching up with others, the two agreed, and did so; Bubbles carried Trixie in his fins, and fed her breakfast.
Deb swam her way over to Gill, who was much more sleeping very soundly, getting himself comfy in his bed. Deb chuckled, and nudged her leader gently. Feeling the movement, Gill stirred a bit, and yawned in his sleep, but didn't wake up. Deb sighed, and she faced Gurgle and Bloat, who were still asleep. Deb swam over to them and slapped their cheek one by one.
"Get up, we've got a lot of fun stuff to do," Deb said sternly and swam out.
As Bloat woke up, he groaned and stirred, until Gurgle felt spines from him. In reaction, Gurgle yelped, but quietly, in pain.
"Bloat! What was that for?!" he hissed.
"Oh, sorry. That's because you slept in my spot last night," Bloat said sternly,
"Oh, and you're coming with me, because Deb told us so that there'll be fun things to do since the others woke up, too."
"Yeah? But it better not be LAME, like Gill's plans," Gurgle said with a frown.
After a snore, Gill snapped his eyes open and shot up with stern tiredness. He seam over, and glared at Bloat and Gurgle. Bloat pointed at Gurgle as he said,
"He's been criticizing your plans and our fun."
Gill turned to Gurgle and growled at him. Staring back Gurgle chuckled with embarrassment. Gill grabbed Gurgle by the chest with his fins and scowled,
"Gurgle, can you PLEASE stop trying to criticize my plans?! My god, it'll be better if you could just STOP. Is that understood?!"
Gurgle nodded with fear, until Gill shoved him out of his fins.
When Bloat grabbed Gurgle to have breakfast after getting themselves cleaned up, Gill yawned sleepily as he stretched his fins and tail tiredly.
Much, much later...
Nemo, Marlin and Dory noticed the Tank Gang coming for a hangout, and they all exchanged hugs and handshakes with their fins.
"Guess what?" Nemo asked.
"Oh, Sharkbait, tell us! We'd love to hear that," Gill said proudly.
"Yes, honey, we won't tell!" Peach added sweetly.
With confidence, Nemo took a deep breath.
"Dory has been flirting with my dad the whole time," he added.
The Tank Gang in unison reacted and said,
"Oh...!"
They looked at Dory flirting with Marlin, who blushed even more.
"Well, it looks like Marlin's dating some friendly fish like Dory," Bubbles said, snickering at that moment.
Deb glared and elbowed him. Bubbles yelped in annoyance,
"Ow!"
Trixie reacted to her parents, and giggled cutely, as if to think that their moment was being that funny. Gill and Peach chuckled at that moment.
"Yeah. I know. Dory's been following me the whole time," Marlin said with annoyance, but choked as Dory hugged him real hard.
"Oh, come over here!" she squealed delightfully.
"Oh, dad, I think she likes you," Nemo giggled.
"Well, you two will be meant for each other," Gurgle said with a kind smile.
"Like the time me and Dory were talking to each other about picking out the seashells," Bloat whispered.
As Jacques went over to Nemo with a jewelry box, Nemo said,
"Jacques, what's that?"
"Oh, Nemo, this is the ring I am gonna give to your father and Dory for the night," Jacques responded and made simple instructions for Nemo to make while Marlin and Dory are on a date.
Nemo nodded. As Jacques motioned the gang to gather around, he tells Gill what they should do for Marlin to propose to Dory. Gill thought of that, and makes a plan.
As time went on Nemo and the Tank Gang motioned Marlin to keep the jewelry box with him, he reluctantly agreed, but blushed because he and Dory might have a bond and relationship with each other. Marlin surely took the jewelry box with him so that he can go meet Dory on a date.
At a sea restaurant, which has a buffet line, Nemo and the Tank Gang watched outside through the window to see if and when Marlin and Dory were gonna flirt with each other.
"All right, gang, let's hope this does the trick," Gill announced in a whisper.
The other Tank Gang members nodded in agreement, while Nemo did the same; Trixie giggled in agreement, while she was with her parents the whole time.
Meanwhile, inside the restaurant, Marlin and Dory were drinking their shake together, since there were two straws in it.
"So, Dory, you do suffer a short-term memory loss, do you?" Marlin asked kindly.
"Yes, because it's just that ideas change... and..." Dory stammered with concern,
"... that's how I forgot."
As Dory took a deep breath, she continued on,
"As long as I was trying to remember, I just wanted to stay and follow you for long, because if I was alone, no one's ever stuck with me for so long before."
Marlin sighed heavily at it, but he reassured Dory and said,
"Well, I know what it feels like. But you know, it's a complicated emotion, but..."
Before continuing on, Marlin took out a jewelry box and opened the ring to Dory, who teared up happily in relief. He said,
"Since I lost my family but Nemo, I wanted you to be part of my family, though. So, will you marry me?"
Holding back a sob, Dory nodded.
"Yes, Marlin. Yes, I do!" she responded.
All of a sudden, as Dory kissed Marlin on the face, he blushed and returned it to her. Then, Marlin placed the ring around Dory's fin.
Outside, Nemo and the Tank Gang felt awed at that moment. Moments later, Marlin and Dory swam outside of the restaurant, and noticed Nemo and the Tank Gang smiling at them.
"We saw you, dad and Dory. This is a cute moment we've ever seen!" Nemo said cutely.
"You two are likely meant for each other, in love," Gill added kindly.
"He's right, you, Marlin and Dory, are gonna get married somehow, and all of us will come to the wedding.
The others nodded in agreement.
The next day...
The wedding of Marlin and Dory gets set up, while the music started playing.
Dory's parents, Jenny and Charlie, teared up happily as they saw their girl Dory approaching in her bride costume, while Marlin approached in his groom costume, with her as well.
"Oh, Charlie, our baby girl is getting married!" Jenny squealed.
"Come here, kelpcake! You and Marlin are gonna make a perfect family," Charlie said happily as he embraced his daughter hard with love and passion.
Dory's friends, Destiny, Bailey and Hank were proud that Dory was gonna get married with Marlin.
"That's our Dory we know it, Bailey!" Destiny squealed sweetly.
"You're right on that one, Destiny. Congrats to you, Dory!" Bailey said cheerfully.
"I... I just... can't take it. My good friend, is getting married with this clownfish," Hank chimed in sweetly.
As Nemo cheered, he told his friends,
"Yay! My dad is getting married!"
Sheldon, Tad and Pearl felt awed at that comment.
"Wow, Nemo, lucky you!" Sheldon said.
"But wait, isn't that blue tang going to be your new mother?" Tad asked.
As Nemo blushed, Pearl chuckled and said,
"It's okay, Nemo. It doesn't matter if two different fish were meant for each other."
She patted Nemo on the back, as he smiled back.
As Dory's friends and parents, Nemo, his friends and the Tank Gang sat with each other, they were all excited to see the moment.
Trixie was held by her cousin Nemo, since she was giggling at where her uncle Marlin and aunt-in-law Dory are getting married. Bubbles and Deb reassured her and Nemo in agreement. Gill and Peach smiled at each other, and to Nemo, as if to support him that his father and Dory are gonna become husband and wife. Gurgle, Bloat and Jacques agreed as well.
The sharks, Bruce, Chum and Anchor were also there, as if to feel proud that their fish friends Marlin and Dory were meant for each other, since they made an oath for them that fish are friends, not food.
As the parrot fish stood far from but between Marlin and Dory, the minister announced,
"We're gathered around for a marriage party due to these couple who were meant for each other; we all are gonna bet that this clownfish and the regal blue tang fish are going to become a family once they are married."
Then, the minister turned to Marlin,
"So, sir, do you, clownfish, take this female regal blue tang to be your wife?"
Marlin blushed even more, as if he already got married to Coral, who was eaten by a barracuda years ago, but he kept it to himself. He said,
"I do."
The minister then told Dory,
"And ma'am, do you, regal blue tang fish, take this male clownfish to be your husband?"
Giggling, Dory squealed,
"I do!"
"Then I now pronounce you, husband and wife!" the minister told everyone.
As Marlin and Dory blushed much more than ever, they kept it to themselves, and kissed. In reaction, Nemo, the Tank Gang and Dory's friends and parents cheered for Marlin and Dory.
It was getting late since all the guests left.
Jenny and Charlie exchanged hugs and kisses to their girl Dory, as if to congratulate her. Destiny, Bailey and Hank exchanged hugs to her, so did Nemo and the Tank Gang; they all did the same to Marlin. Marlin and Dory teared up happily, as if to thank Nemo, the Tank Gang, Dory's friends and parents for all of their special support. Then, they all bid each other goodnight.
As Nemo got himself situated in the sea anemone, Marlin tucked Dory, who was already sound asleep, in the corral, and he kissed her on the forehead smoothly with passion. Then, he laid next to Nemo, who fell asleep. Marlin smiled, put a fin around his son, and fell asleep.
In the other den, the Tank Gang got themselves situated on the ground. Bubbles and Deb tucked their daughter Trixie to bed, and kissed her on the forehead. Then, the two fell asleep in a cuddle with each other.
Gurgle, Bloat and Jacques were asleep around their leader's bedside. Gill was sound asleep on his bedside, smoothing Peach's back with his left fin, while she was asleep, too.
Happily, all of the fish slept peacefully in their dens, while the moonlight dimmed through the ocean slides.
