Eric needs a partner for the new roller disco competition, and he's willing to make a pact with the devil if that means they'll win, the only condition is: No one can know about it.

Part one of my tumblr prompts game.

Prompt suggested by anon on tumblr:

"For the prompt game: Eric and Jackie are roller disco partners, but Donna and Hyde don't know and think they're having an affair"

Roller Disco Do Da 2.0

Eric glanced at the pamphlet in his hands. Damn it, he really wanted to enter this stupid contest, but in order to do that, he needs a partner.

Donna doesn't roller skate, and she can't know that he started going to the roller disco again when he came back from Africa. She teased him endlessly the last time, and he did not enjoy having his own girlfriend making fun of his "lack of manhood".

He was so stupid back then, listening to her, to the gang. He liked roller skating to Donna Summer, so what? They acted like he'd grow a pair of boobs the second he'd put his roller skates on, and he didn't have the patience for that crap anymore.

Besides, the winner of this competition would win 500 bucks, in cash. That'd be 250 for him, and 250 for his partner.

And for that, he's willing to make a pact with the devil.

He folded the piece of paper and shoved it in his pocket before entering through the kitchen door. Donna, Hyde and Jackie were in the kitchen, eating a tray of brownies. Jackie was shoving her hand on Donna's face while Hyde watched Jackie with an endearing smile.

"Jackie, it's been a week already, would you stop shoving your huge diamond on my face?" Donna asked, looking annoyed, and Jackie just smiled.

"But it's so big!" She beamed, and turned to look at Hyde, who had his arm wrapped around her waist "Look, pudding!"

"I know it's big Jackie, I bought it" He said, smiling at her cuteness.

"And how much did you spend on that, Pudding?" Eric asked, announcing his presence and sitting next to Donna.

"About as much as you did on your Star Wars collection, Forman" Hyde answered with a smirk

"Ah, good one" Eric replied, and wrapped his arm around Donna "What are you two doing here today anyways? I thought you would still be christening your new apartment"

"We've already did that" Jackie replied

"Every room and almost every single piece of furniture was already christened" Hyde replied, and Eric frowned

"Okay I did not need to know that" Eric said "Anyways, Donna, we should get back to Madison before it gets dark"

"Yeah, okay" She replied "Hyde, will you help me drag Eric's dresser to the car?"

"Why do you need a dresser?" Hyde asked

"Care to explain, Eric?" Donna said, and Eric sighed

"I broke ours by recreating Luke Skywalker's and Darth Vader's epic lightsaber duel from 'The Empire Strikes Back' with a broomstick" He admitted, and Hyde just scowled at him before getting up and going to help Donna get the dresser.

Now it was just him and Jackie. Perfect.

"Hey Jackie" He said, taking the paper out of his pocket and handing it to her "Check this out"

"Oh my God! A new roller disco tournament!" She said excitedly "You know, I wish Fez wasn't living in Chicago with Michael right now, because we could totally win this again"

"Well…" Eric reluctantly started "You still want to enter?"

"Sure, but Steven would never go roller skating with me, I couldn't participate without a partner"

"What if I'm your partner?" Eric blurted, and Jackie looked questionably at him

"Really?" She asked suspiciously "I thought you quit roller disco, which was a shame, because you were really good. Don't tell anyone I've said that"

"Thank you, devil!" Eric smiled "I went back to it a while ago, and I think we could nail this if you want to"

"Well… 250 bucks wouldn't be bad…" Jackie pondered for a few seconds "You got yourself a deal, geek"

"Awesome! I just need to ask you one thing… Please don't tell Hyde. Or Donna" He pleaded

"Oh no no no. I don't lie to Steven, Eric. Not anymore" Jackie said, and Eric sighed.

"Look, I don't want anyone forcing me to quit again, okay? And I could really use the cash" Eric replied "It's three weeks away, I'm already here every weekend, and I could drive here during the week so we can practice"

"Eric, I really don't want to lie to Steven" Jackie said honestly

"I know, I don't like lying to Donna either. But it's just for three weeks, and you can use your 250 bucks on the wedding after we win" He said, knowing she wouldn't resist if he mentioned the wedding. She frowned, but nodded reluctantly.

"Fine, I'll call you tomorrow when I get home from work so we can sort things out" Jackie said "We better win this thing Eric, I won't lie to Steven because of nothing!"

"The trophy already has our name in it" He affirmed, wrapping her arm around her shoulders. She grimaced and slapped his arm away.

She's a good dancer, but she's still the devil.

Two and a half weeks later...

"Hey, you're ready?" Eric asked, leaning against the Vista Cruiser

"Yeah, let's do this" Jackie smiled "You brought your outfit? The competition is in two days and we need to practice with our outfits on so we can get used to them"

"Yeah it's right here" Eric said, pointing at the bag "By the way, I don't think Donna bought my excuse today"

Jackie looked questionably at him while she took both of their bags and placed them on the backseat of the cruiser.

"Why?" She asked

"You know I get twitchy when I lie!" Eric said

"Tell me, in what situation you don't get twitchy, Eric?" Jackie asked in her signature snobbish tone "Whatever, you are the one who wanted to keep this whole thing a secret. I hate lying to Steven"

"Of course I want to keep it a secret!" Eric retorted "I don't want to be made fun of again! You all made me throw my skates away!"

"Hey, I didn't!" Jackie protested

"You didn't, but Donna, Hyde, Kelso and Red did" Eric said bitterly "And then they all made fun of me for months! Can you blame me for wanting to keep it a secret?"

"I guess I get it" Jackie said "But I still don't like lying to my Steven"

"Just two more days, then it's over" Eric replied "I mean, we practically won already! Mitch and his girlfriend were our biggest competition, but now he's in the hospital because he tried to lift her and things got pretty bad pretty quickly"

"Ugh, I don't know why they let him compete in the first place. He's so tiny, Steven says he's like one of those Oompa Loompas" Jackie said, and Eric laughed

"Man, Hyde is creative with his insults" He said

"Yep, my man is amazing" Jackie smiled dreamily "I love him so much"

"Alright that's enough" Eric said "Let's go before it gets dark"

"Okay" Jackie said, she looked at Eric and they both giggled as they entered the car. Neither of them noticed a familiar redhead standing by the bushes.

Donna covered her mouth with her hands as she saw the car leaving the driveway. What. The. Fuck.

She needs to talk with Hyde right now.

Donna barged into Grooves, looking distraught, and getting Hyde's attention.

"Hey Pinciotti, what got your panties into a twist?" He asked from behind the counter

"I think something might be going on with Jackie and Eric" Donna blurted, and Hyde started to laugh. A lot.

"Forman and Jackie? Are you insane?" He asked after a few seconds, wiping some tears of laughter that left his eyes.

"Hyde, Eric told me he was going to do volunteer work at the local middle school, and when he thought I was gone, I saw him entering his car with Jackie! And they were both giggling, Hyde!" Donna said, and Hyde stopped laughing

"That doesn't mean anything" Hyde said honestly

"Oh but it does! Where did Jackie tell you she was going, Hyde?" Donna asked

"She told me she was going to look at wedding stuff" He said "Maybe Forman is just helping her out"

"Are we talking about the same Eric Forman here, Hyde?" Donna said wryly "Eric 'choose the deer hoof silverware' Forman?"

"That's crap, man" Hyde shook his head "Jackie doesn't lie to me"

"But she is lying!" Donna replied "Eric has been making excuses and avoiding me for weeks, Hyde! I bet Jackie's doing that too! When was the last time you two spent an entire afternoon together?"

"Crap" Hyde muttered to himself and ran his hand through his face.

"So? What are we going to do about it?" Donna asked "I vote on killing them both"

"I'm not doing anything. I'm not jumping to conclusions again, Donna. I screwed up way too much with Jackie on the past, I'm lucky she took me back" Hyde said honestly

"But she's lying to you!" Donna said "She's probably sleeping with Eric!"

"And I'm going to ask and yell at her about it later!" Hyde said impatiently

"And what guarantees you that she's not going to lie again?" Donna asked, and Hyde raised an eyebrow at her

"What the hell do you suggest we do, Donna?!" Hyde asked "You want me to call Sam and put Jackie through that hell again? Not gonna happen!"

"We should follow them" Donna said "Yeah, we'll catch them right on the spot, then they'll have to come clean!"

"Fine" Hyde agreed "But I'm telling ya, if this blows up in our faces, which it probably will, I'm throwing you under the bus!"

"Fair enough"

"They're leaving" Donna whispered as the Vista Cruiser left the driveway the next day.

"Let's get this over with" Hyde said, grabbing the keys of his car

Hyde used the trick Jackie taught him years ago. Stay two cars behind, and one to the left. He saw Eric parking the car in front of the empty Burkhart mansion, and Donna and Hyde exchanged worried looks.

"I thought Jackie's mom was selling the house?" Donna asked

"She is! The house is empty, there's no furniture. Jackie even grabbed some stuff for our place" Hyde answered "What the hell are they doing here?"

"Let's go find out," Donna said, leaving the car and heading to the front door.

"Wait!" Hyde said, blocking Donna from storming inside the house "Let's just eavesdrop for a while, alright? See if we hear something"

"Good idea" Donna said, pressing her ear on the front door as Hyde did the same.

"All I hear is crappy disco music" Hyde grimaced

"Shhh!" Donna said "They're saying something!"

"Ouch, Eric! You're hurting me!" They heard Jackie's muffled scream through the door

"Sorry!" Eric answered "I just… Bee Gees is not my thing"

"Fine, I'll change it" Jackie said, and seconds later, Hyde could hear ABBA's "Gimme gimme" in the background.

"ABBA, Jackie?" Eric asked as she turned on the stereo "Can't you put on some Donna Summer? It gets me more in the mood"

"Oh, shut up, Eric!" Jackie complained "We didn't even get to finish last time because of your clumsiness! So I'm choosing the song!"

"It wasn't all my fault, devil!" Eric retorted

"Ugh, I don't know how Donna can stand you!" They heard Jackie's voice "You are so uncoordinated!"

"Hey! My balance is a little off today, missy. But normally I'm pretty damn good at this! Donna never complained!" Eric retorted and Hyde and Donna's eyes widened "And let's use some more of your cheerleader flexibility next time, you looked like a dead body"

"Excuse me?!" Jackie yelled, and Hyde and Donna stood by the door, too shocked to say anything "You are the one who doesn't know how to make the right moves!"

"God, you're annoying!" Eric replied "Let's just do it one last time, alright? I promise I'll put some more 'boom boom' into it!"

"Oh hell no" Hyde said, his face red with repressed anger, Donna didn't look much better. "I'll fucking kill Forman!"

Hyde slammed the door open "What the hell is going on here?!" He yelled as he searched the empty room for his fiancée and his best friend.

"Steven?" He heard Jackie's voice as Eric turned off the stereo sitting on the floor "What are you doing here?"

"Are you cheating on me with Forman?" Hyde asked her promptly, as Donna analyzed her boyfriend and her best friend. As soon as she noticed their outfits, she looked down at the floor in shame.

"What?!" Jackie shrieked in indignation "Are you insane?!"

"You tell me!" Hyde said "Wedding planning my ass!"

"Hyde…" Donna nudged her friend on the ribs "Look at what they're wearing"

The minute Hyde looked at their outfits realization hit him, and he felt like the stupidest man alive.

"Oh…" He muttered

"How dare you assume that I'm sleeping with the devil, man! We're training for a roller disco competition!" Eric said, removing his glittery headphones "And Donna, what the hell?!"

"Well… You were lying to me!" Donna accused him "You could've just told me the truth, you know?!"

"What did you think was happening? Did you think me and Jackie would run off together, get married, have a daughter and a set of twins together and move to California? That would never happen!" Eric replied, and Donna, Hyde and Jackie sent him questioning looks.

"Ew!" Jackie said, looking at Eric with disgust

"I mean, I'm a little concerned with how fast you thought of that, but you're right about us blowing things out of proportion" Donna said, eyeing her boyfriend suspiciously "Seriously Eric, why didn't you tell me?"

"Because the last time you caught me roller skating went so well" Eric said wryly "I didn't want my own girlfriend to make fun of my hobbies again!"

"Crap…" Donna said "I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking"

"You damn right you weren't!" Eric said "I would never cheat on you! Especially with Jackie! She's the most annoying girl in the world!"

"Watch it, string bean!" Jackie growled at him "I may be small, but I can still kick your ass!"

"See?!" Eric pointed out Jackie to Donna as he removed his roller skates

"I'm sorry!" Donna said "It's that time of the month, you know?"

"Oh, will you two shut up?!" Jackie exploded "I want to yell at Steven now!"

"Let's go, I'll drive you home" Eric said, trying his hardest not to laugh at Donna's concerned face

"You're not mad?" Donna asked hesitantly

"Are you kidding me? This is one of the best days of my life! For once, I wasn't the dumbass in the story!" Eric said, picking up his stuff and smiling at his girlfriend "Jackie, you're leaving with Hyde"

"If she doesn't kill me first" Hyde said, looking apprehensively at Jackie

"Good luck, man" Eric said, laughing as he left the house with Donna by his side "You're going to need it"

Jackie was still glaring at Hyde, and Hyde looked extremely uncomfortable alone in the same room with her.

"So, what do you have to say for yourself, Steven?" Jackie asked, looking very annoyed

"I'm a dumbass" He sighed "I'm sorry"

"You're damn right you are! I would never cheat on you, you know that!" Jackie said, her annoyance being replaced by sadness, making Hyde feel even more like crap.

"I know, I'm sorry" He said, watching her as she sat on the floor and removed her roller skates "I shouldn't have listened to Donna"

"Yeah, you shouldn't" Jackie muttered sadly, putting her sneakers back on "When are you going to learn how to trust me, Steven?" She asked with tears on her eyes "We've been together for years, and I was never the one who cheated"

Hyde rubbed his temple and sighed. He sat next to her and removed his sunglasses.

"I know" He said, looking sad and ashamed

"Crap, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that" Jackie said, sending him an apologetic look and reaching for his hand "I don't want to make you feel bad, I'm sorry"

"It's okay doll, you're right" He said, interlacing their fingers together "I'm the screwed up one. I had no right to come here and yell at you because I jumped into conclusions again, I'm really sorry"

"Wait a minute…" Jackie said "You thought I was sleeping with someone else, and you came here to yell at me?"

"Yeah…" He answered "I'm sorry"

"You didn't run away and slept with someone else!" She said, letting out a couple of tears and smiling. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him into a tight hug "Promise me that if you ever have those stupid thoughts about me and someone else again, you'll come and yell and me"

Hyde grimaced in confusion, Jackie's a weird chick, she changes her mood faster than Mrs. Forman on her menopause sometimes.

Then he noticed the look in eyes. It was a mix of happiness and relief, and he finally understood why she was so touched.

"I promise" He said "I love you"

Jackie let out a couple of tears and cupped his face, kissing him gently.

"You are the best future husband ever" She whispered against his mouth "I love you so much"

He smiled against her mouth and deepened their kiss, pulling her closer to him.

"Let's get out of here" Jackie whispered huskily in his ear "I think we didn't christen the kitchen table on our apartment yet"

"Oh, hell yeah" He said, grinning mischievously and throwing her over his shoulder as she giggled. He slapped her butt and walked out of the house "We better hurry, you look absurdly hot in that little rainbow outfit"
