"Why am I even here…?" Said Kurt as the car started to pull up to the car park.

"Because you love me." Blaine said, emphasizing the 'love' by drawing out the o "at least that's what you said two weeks ago when everyone in glee club said they wanted to do this…" Blaine replied, starting to get out of the car. It was an hour drive to get to the beach, which was where they'd just arrived, and Kurt was already starting to panic he was going to get major skin problems from the dry sand and the scorching heat of the sun. He knew he only agreed because Blaine wanted to go, though, he had always wanted to try being at a beach...

"I suppose you're right," Kurt replied.

"That I love you? I didn't think you'd ever find it such a challenge to agree with me…" Blaine continued to flirt and Kurt smiled as they started walking towards the sand.

"Yes, it's quite the job to have to love you." Kurt winked at Blaine as he pouted. "I'm joking and you know it." Blaine just smiled, half laughing all the while. They followed the glee club to a nice spot on the sand, laying out towels, sand buckets, spades and books. They placed their shoes at the corners of the towels to keep them from flying away, albeit, bizarrely, it wasn't that windy today. Kurt, however, remained standing as he watched everyone in disgust moving and flicking sand about the place. (not caring at all about their skin)

"Oh Kurt just get over here, it's amazing I swear," Blaine said half skipping over to Kurt.

"Sand, salt water, sun… Blaine, This is horrible. I'm going to have severe skin acne for weeks and the sun will peel away my skin from the sunburn." Kurt explained, gesturing to all the places that could cause him danger.

"Well then let me fix that," Blaine said grabbing Kurt by the hand and forcing him to walk over to the towels, which, unfortunately for Kurt, meant walking on the sand. Kurt hopped on it like he was walking over hot rocks - which was almost what it was like - but made even more of a mess as the wind picked up a little, moving breezes of hot sand everywhere that will inevitably land in people's eyes. Blaine laughed at his boyfriend's ridiculous antics. "That worked well."

"Oh shut up." Kurt smiled good-naturedly as he managed to sit down slowly on the towel, toeing off his shoes. He looked up to Blaine, who was pulling his shirt off, and blushed as his torso was revealed to the world. Blaine looked at Kurt, who couldn't take his eyes off of Blaine's gorgeous complexion, and winked. Okay, maybe this won't be so bad… Kurt thought smiling to himself.

"I'm heading off to the water, you coming?" Blaine asked and Kurt glared at him. Blaine laughed, despite himself, and grabbed a bodyboard, setting off toward the ocean with the others from the Glee club.

Kurt smiled as he saw his boyfriend ride the waves and then fall into the water once again, coming up and laughing with Finn next to him, who was also chuckling at the terrible failure. He was overjoyed that his brother got along with Blaine as well as he did. It meant the world to him that his brother did accept who he (and Blaine) were. So, as he lay on his stomach and closed his eyes with his sunglasses perched neatly on his face, he fell asleep in the warm sun, for once relaxing under the natural earth.

Later on, Blaine came out of the water and saw his sleeping boyfriend on the towel and smiled to himself. He knew he'd find a way to get Kurt to relax at the beach rather than stressing over the sand, water, salt and sun. Speaking of which, Kurt's back was turning slightly red under the direct sunlight so Blaine chuckled lightly and grabbed a bottle of suncream and sat slowly down next to Kurt, opening the cap quietly. He squirted a generous amount onto his palms and rubbed his hands slowly up and down Kurt's back. Suddenly, he felt Kurt's muscle tense and his eyes open as he stared up at Blaine rubbing sun cream into his back.

"Don't worry, it's only me," Blaine whispered, resuming the gentle movements. He felt Kurt's muscles relax again and his head drop back down to the towel as he, once again, closed his eyes. Kurt's skin was smooth and soft under his touch, which was the result of extensive skin-care routines Kurt put himself through. He brought his hands up to Kurt's neck and moved his palms down the length of Kurt's back, resulting in a low groan from Kurt. He was rather enjoying the impromptu massage he seemed to be receiving. Blaine did it one last time before moving down to Kurt's legs. He ran his fingers up his calf with the extra sun cream he just squirted onto his palm, kneading the muscles as he went. Then he moved up to his thighs and once he was satisfied Kurt had relaxed again, protected from blankets of unnecessary quantities of suncream, he began coating himself in more too. He heard Kurt mumble his gratitude and went to grab a spade. Maybe I could build something for Kurt… He thought.

An hour later, Blaine was standing back from his masterpiece, rather pleased with himself. Luckily, Kurt was just starting to sit up, eyes closed behind his sunglasses as he continued to slowly wake up.

"Hi honey," Kurt yawned tiredly. He hadn't realized actually how much he enjoyed the beach. He couldn't remember ever having actually relaxed like this before, what with all the exams at Dalton to study for, bullies he's trying to fend off constantly and missing his glee friends. Though, this has been a nice chance to catch up with them since he rarely had spare time anymore.

"Hi. Uh… I built something for you…" Blaine replied a little nervous. How am I supposed to know if Kurt will like this? Kurt raised his eyebrows inquisitively, smiling all the while, starting to stand up.

"Ooh, what is it?" Kurt asked and Blaine gestured in front of him. A heart was built up in the sand with an arrow going through it and the names Blaine + Kurt written on it. Kurt was nearly brought to tears as he stood over the same heart he'd once drawn in red pen in his favourite sketchbook.

"I love you, Kurt," Blaine said.

"I love you too Blaine." Kurt smiled, one tear rolling slowly down his face as he was overwhelmed with happiness. He really had found his soul mate…
