Missing
Thomas and his sister's were eating breakfast in the dining room as their parents were getting ready to go to work. "Are you sure you can handle both of your sisters mate?" Bandit asked while getting his presentation ready. "I'll be fine dad, we're going to the park later and having some fun," Thomas said watching his Dad struggle. "Are you sure mate? We can call your uncle Stripe if we need to," Bandit said looking at his son. "Dad it'll be fine," Thømas said with a Reassuring smile. Bandit smiled at that. "Alright mate I trust you," Bandit said before heading out the door with Chilli behind him. The three siblings finished their breakfast as Thomas helped clean up. "When can we go to the park?" Bluey asked her brother as Thomas was watching the dishes. "After I clean this up, you and Bingo can get ready while I do this," Thomas said while putting the dishes in the dishwasher. "Okay!" Bluey said as she went to go get Bingo.
After Thomas was done with the dishes, he went to his sisters room to get them ready. "You guys ready?" Thomas asked. "Yeah!" Both girls said as they came out of their room. Both girls rushed downstairs and went to Thomas's car. Thomas buckled in his sisters and then got into the driver seat. "What park are we going to big brother?" Bluey asked. Thomas checked his phone before answering. "Thomas?" Bingo asked, trying to get her brother's attention. "Oh yeah, sorry guys were going to a special park that has a Carousel" Thomas said looking in the rear view mirror. "Hooray!" Both girls cheered. Thomas smiled as he started his car and then they were off. It wasn't long until they reached the park with the Mary go round. "Can we go on the Carousel first Thomas?" Bluey asked as Thomas unbuckled his sisters. "Sure why not," Thomas said as his sisters got out of the car. Thomas took their hands as they walked over to the carousel.
Thomas watched as his sisters were having fun on the ride, but Thomas's mind was elsewhere. Thomas had applied to a few of the best colleges in Australia and even some in America and Thomas was waiting to hear back from them. Thomas checked his phone for his email many times while carefully watching his sisters on the ride. Thomas had also took the time to take pictures of his sisters having fun for his social media. After the carousel. Thomas took his sisters to the playground where they would play. Thomas was still in his head about getting into college and kept checking his email. "Hey mate!" Liam said from behind Thomas. "Liam! What brings you out here?" Thomas asked with a smile. "Oh, you know mate just taking my sister out," Liam said sitting down next to Thomas. "Yeah? Same here, well I have both of my sisters," Thomas said with a smile. "Nice mate," Liam said with a smile. "Hey Liam, have you heard from any of the colleges you applied for?" Thomas asked nervously. "In fact I did mate, I got into the university of Sydney," Liam said with a smile. "Oh, that's nice," Thomas said, rubbing the back of his neck. "You still haven't heard back yet?" Liam asked, looking at his friend. "No, not yet," Thømas answered. "You'll hear back soon I just know it," Liam said with a smile.
"Yeah your right," Thomas said looking away from his friend. About an hour later Thomas and Liam continued to talk about there hopes for college and what could happen to their lives. "Yeah, I'm just a little worried on how my sisters will take it when I leave," Thomas said looking to his friend. "They don't know you'll leave for four years?" Liam asked. "I haven't prepared them yet and neither have my parents," Thomas confessed. "Do you think they'll be ready?" Liam asked. "I don't know, Bluey might take it the hardest, she's so close to me along with Bingo," Thomas confessed. "I just don't want them to feel like I'm leaving them for good," Thomas said looking down to the ground. "They'll understand mate, they have to," Liam said, placing his hand on his friend's shoulder. "That's the problem, they just had me in their lives and then here I go to college for the next four years of my life and would only see them on a screen again and then see them on holidays and Summer breaks," Thomas explained. "Their whole life they just saw me through a screen and I don't want them to think I'm abandoning them," Thomas added. "Have you thought about taking a gap year?" Liam asked.
Thomas sighed before answering. "Honestly I have, when we did career paths and I told my parents about being a firefighter, my dad almost lost it because as he puts it he doesn't want to bury a child," Thomas said sitting back on the bench. "He has a point you know I mean losing your mom he's ex wife must have been hard and then if he lost you it would destroy him," Liam said looking at his friend. "I know it would," Thomas said looking back at Liam. Liam then checked the time on his phone and then stood up. "Well mate, I better get my sister back for afternoon tea," Liam said stretching. "Yeah, I better get the girls too," Thomas said looking forward to seeing where his sisters were. Thomas sees Bluey playing with Kate, Liam's sister but no sign of Bingo. "Where's Bingo?" Thomas said standing up. "Bluey where's Bingo?" Thomas called to Bluey as he walked over to Bluey. "She was just here," Bluey said now looking for her younger sister. "Do you need help mate?" Liam asked as Kate stood by her older brother. "She wouldn't have run off like that," Thomas said now looking around for his youngest sister. "Thomas?" Bluey asked her brother, noticing he was starting to have a panic attack. "Bluey, stay with Liam," Thomas said as he started to search the playground.
"Bingo!" Thomas called out his sister's name while looking for her in the playground. The world started to spin as Thomas called her and called her while looking for her. Thomas was now in tears as took out his phone and started to call his uncle. "Uncle Stripe, I can't find Bingo," Thomas said as he collapsed to the ground while in tears. "We're at thunder park and…" Thomas started to say until he saw Bingo by the lake with a red balloon. "I see her, I see her," Thomas said on the phone with tears rushing down his muzzle. "Okay, bye," Thomas said, hanging up the phone and then running over to his sister. "Bingo!" Thomas said running up to his sister. "Thomas I was just about to…" Bingo started to say until Thømas grabbed her by her shoulders. "Where were you!" Thomas shouted still with tears in his eyes. "There were free balloons at this stand and…" Bingo started to explain until Thomas held on to her tightly. "I don't care if there was a free money stand! you don't go off on your own! Do you hear me!" Thomas shouted, still holding onto his sister. "Thomas, you're hurting me," Bingo said as she started to tear up. "Jesus," Thomas said as he started to calm down. "You scared me, do you understand? What if someone took you from me? Mom and Dad would be devastated I would be devastated and Bluey too," Thomas said now hugging his sister. "I'm sorry," Bingo said now crying while holding brother. It started to rain while the two were hugging. Thomas then picked up his sister and held her all the way back to Liam and Bluey. "Thanks for watching Bluey," Thomas said before taking Bluey's hand. "No problem mate, I'm glad Bingo is safe," Liam said as he watched his friend leave with his sisters. "Yeah me too," Thomas said while leaving. Thomas got to his car and buckled in his sisters.
Thomas got into his driver side while reviving a phone call from his uncle. "Hello?" Thomas said distraught. "Yeah she's safe, she's with me and Bluey," Thomas said resting his head on his window as the rain started to pour. "She walked to a free balloon stand," Thomas explained. "Yeah, we're leaving the park now," Thomas added. "Okay, I love you too uncle Stripe," Thomas said before hanging up the phone. Thomas sighed as he placed his phone to the side. "Bingo why did you walk off?" Bluey asked her sister. "I thought it would be okay to get a balloon," Bingo said looking at her older sister with tears in her eyes. Bluey felt sorry for her sister but was also worried for her safety. "Are you guys hungry?" Thomas asked calmly without looking at his sisters. "Yeah," Bluey said in a low tone.
"Okay," Thomas said as he started the car and started to drive to the nearest burger shop. Now at a burger shop Thomas had bought the girls happy burgers and himself a burger while they sat at a table. It was silent for the most part and Bingo barely touched her food. "Bingo, please eat," Thomas said looking at his youngest sister. Bingo only teared up again and sniffed. Thomas then placed his hand on his sisters and made her look at him. "Hey," Thomas said softly. Bingo then looked at her brother as tears started to come down her muzzle. "I'm not mad, I was scared," Thomas explained. "I'm sorry Thomas," Bingo said now crying again. Thomas then got up and sat beside both of his sisters. "Bingo, let me explain something to you," Thomas said hugging both of his sisters close to him. "I was so scared that someone might have taken you and I wouldn't be able to live with myself if that were to happen," Thomas explained. Bingo cried even more now crying into her brother's chest. Bluey also started to tear up thinking of the possibility of losing her sister like that.
"It's okay, it's okay," Thomas said softly. "I promise I won't do it again," Bingo said as she wiped her tears away. "Good, because I want you here for a long time, both of you," Thomas with a smile while giving his sisters each a kiss. The three siblings ate their food before going back to the car and heading home. Thomas then parked his car and looked in the back seat seeing both of his sisters asleep. Thomas then looked forward now starting to cry himself.
Thomas then got startled as Bandit opened the door to Bluey's side. "Mate, are you okay? Your uncle explained everything on the phone," Bandit said getting Bluey from the car. "Yeah… actually I'm not," Thomas said with a sniff. Bandit had a sad look on his face as he took Bluey inside and then Bingo. Thomas took a good minute to come inside his house and when he did his parents were waiting for him. "Thømas sweetie are you alright?" Chilli asked, noticing Thomas looked exhausted. "She just wanted a balloon, I don't understand why she didn't ask me," Thomas said now sitting down at the couch beside both of his parents. "Mate mistakes happen, I'm just glad you're all safe," Bandit said, placing his hand on his son's shoulder. "That's not the point dad, she could have been taken or worse, I just don't know what I did wrong to where she would walk off like that," Thomas said cupping his hands together and covering his face.
"You didn't do anything wrong honey," Chilli said hugging her stepson. "You know son you did the same thing when you were her age," Bandit said, rubbing his son's back. "I did?" Thomas asked now looking at his dad. "It was in a store, you walked off to see some toys and me and your mother were so worried about you," Bandit said with a smile. "I don't remember that," Thomas confessed. "Well mate you were really young," Bandit explained. "And I must have scared you," Thomas added. "Yes, you scared me and your mother so much that we cried in the store," Bandit explained. "I'm sorry dad," Thomas said looking away from his father. "But your here now mate and I'm so happy nothing happened to you," Bandit said with a smile. "But you did the right thing honey, calling your uncle for help," Chilli said Softly. "Yeah, I'm glad I did," Thomas said softly. "Okay mate I think you should go get some rest," Bandit said with a smile. "Okay," Thomas said as he stood up and walked to his room.
Thomas laid down on his bed and looked up at the ceiling until he got a Notification on his phone from his email. Thomas then checked his phone to see what it was. Thomas's eyes widen as he saw what it was. Two emails were from two colleges he applied for and replied back to him. One was from NYCU and the other from the University of Sydney. Thomas opened up both emails and to his surprise he was accepted into both colleges. But the question was… would he choose to go to college or take a gap year to spend some extra time with his family?
The End.

I have a niece and nephew and just the thought of them being taken or walking off somewhere where I can't see them really takes a toll on the heart strings. But what do you think Thomas should do? Take a gap year and focus on his sisters and parents or take the chance to go to college right away and what college do you think he should go to? Let me know what you think he'll do or tell me what you would do in this situation. Alright guys I'll see you soon!
