Prologue
POV Jaden
It started when I was lying on the grass in the middle of nowhere. I was staring at the clear blue sky above my head while thinking back to the good old days at the Duel Academy. Those days filled with fun, grief, stress, excitement and of course awesome duels. Ever since I graduated I couldn't really stop thinking about my friends and those times. It's true, I did decide to move on alone and look for my own adventures without constantly dragging my friends into it, but saying I don't miss them would be an obvious lie. The sound of someone coming near me interrupted my thoughts as I turned around and raised my duel disc, ready to fight anyone who was looking for trouble. Thanks to Yubel I was able to notice anyone matter how sneaky they were. But as soon as I recognized the face that was staring at me with a big smile I dropped my duel disc again. "Still got the sharp senses as always, right?" Acel asked as he walked towards me. "Yep" was my answer as I carefully watched him sitting down next to me. I got curious. "Spit it out, how in the word did you find me here?" After all I didn't tell anyone that I was here, nor did I remember seeing him in the places I went before. "You should know me well enough to know that I'm a pro at researching information" he answered with a smirk on his face. I smiled and leaned back again. Yeah, I knew Axel was one of the only ones who were able to do that kind of professional research. "So why did you come here?" If he really went through all that trouble just to find me, it must be something important. He put down his backpack and handed me a letter. I raised an eyebrow as I took it and opened it. As soon as I started reading I recognized the handwriting immediantely. That letter must be from Atticus…
Hey Jaden !
Long time no see! I hope you're doing fine while traveling around, it must be pretty tough for you. Anyways, I wrote you this letter to invite you to a special class reunion…
I raised my head in confusion. "A class reunion?" I asked and raised an eyebrow. Axel nodded. "I wish I could attend the party as well, but unfortunately I got a new mission with Jim so we won't be able to go wild with you and the others" he added as he looked at the blue sky. "I see…" I said as I continued reading.
I already asked the others and most of them agreed to come! We would be glad if you could join us as well, since a class reunion wouldn't be a real class reunion without you. Also, I even got Jesse and Aster to join us!
We'll be taking a little trip to Hawaii, so if you're coming, be sure to arrive at the Domino airport at Friday, 10 am!
Hopefully we'll see each other soon!

My eyes widened which caused Axel to chuckle. "How?" I asked and stared at him. Axel knew me well enough to understand what I was talking about even though I didn't mention any information. "Let's say, I helped him get in contact with those two" he smirked. My heart started pounding the moment I imagined meeting Jesse again, we hadn't seen each other at all ever since we graduated. "Tell Atticus I'm coming" I suddenly said as stood up and grabbed my bag. Axel smiled again, he probably knew from the start that I would say yes.
Here I am now, sitting in a gigantic plane next to Jesse and Syrus, who were discussing some dueling strategies. My eyes were focused on the outside, I wonder how long we have to sit here until we would finally arrive. "Hey Jay, you alright?" Jesse suddenly asked as I turn around. It was obvious that many of my friends are still worried about me since I must've changed quite a bit after everything that happened with Yubel and Fujiwara at the Duel Academy. Speaking of Fujiwara, he was sitting with Atticus somewhere in the front, both of them seemed to get quite attached to each other, it was nice seeing them as friends again. "Don't worry, I'm alright! I'm just a bit excited" I answered when I noticed the confused look on Jesse's and Syrus' face. Suddenly we heard a loud voice coming from behind. "I ordered a five stars meal with an excellent sauce and THIS is all I get? What kind of service is this?!" Everybody turned their heads towards the angry voice which came from Chazz. He looked quite upset while Aster, who was sitting one seat behind him only facepalmed. "I'm sorry, this is the best we got here", the flight assistant said with an annoyed look on their face. Chazz growled in anger and pouted. I chuckled, after all this time he didn't change. I was glad I accepted the invitation, otherwise who knows how much time would've passed until I finally saw my friends again?
But this so called class reunion trip should soon start getting out of hand. Not even I could ever imagine what would happen next…
