So I've been rewatching Young Justice and god i forgot how good it is. Anyways, this story is all dialogue for reasons (namely my descriptive writing skills decided to take a nap without my permission).
Disclaimer: Young Justice isn't mine, just Babydoll.
"She's up to something"
"I take it you know this girl?"
"Too well."
"What do you think she's planing?"
"That's the problem. She's too unpredictable, and she doesn't have some huge goal. She's just…a killer."
"Why might she have wanted to be captured?"
"Access to big-time criminals, possibly. Looking to make connections, but she's smarter than that. She doesn't need to get herself caught, her father's the Joker."
"Perhaps she's looking to break out other criminals, like Icicle Senior tried at Belle Reve."
"She's never acted like she has those kinds of connections, but it's a possibility."
"Team, this is Helen Quinzel. She acted under the alias of Babydoll for five years, before being captured by the team. She was sent to Arkham and claims to have been totally rehabilitated. She's requested to join the team."
"She what?"
"Robin has pointed out that it's best for her to be where we can keep an eye on her. She's a capable fighter and well versed in human anatomy and psychology."
"It's so good to meet you all! I'm so excited to get to know Robin's other family!"
"This is a terrible idea!"
"It's this or we turn her back out into society for her to disappear or start killing again. She'll be under constant supervision from Red Tornado, M'gann and Conner here. She won't have access to her workshop either."
"And if this is her plan? Infiltrate the team and pass information back to her parents? Why did you even bring her back here?"
"She's known about the mountain since three months after the team began. If she was going to tell anyone about that she would have by now."
"WHAT?!"
"She's smart, and she's fixated on me. She noticed I wasn't with Batman as much and followed me one day."
"She's going to kill us if she doesn't hand another villain the information they need to do it themselves."
"She hasn't hurt me once in all the years I've known her. She treats our fights like sparring, I trust her not to kill us."
"You trust her?"
"That's enough. Robin, I will trust your judgement of this girl for now. Superboy, Artemis, watch her."
"What are you planning?"
"Nothing Robin. I just want to be with my little brother."
"You're not reformed. You'd have gone straight to Belle Reve if you were. I know you. You'd turn yourself in if you'd actually realized that you're a murderer."
"I just want to spend more time with you, little brother. Plus it'll really piss off daddy, but that's just a bonus."
