Akimichi Chouji awoke from his dream filled with joy, for in his dreams he had foreseen the perfect combination culinary ninjutsu. Through a skillfull combination of fire and air chakra, balanced by water, under the supervision of a skilled chef, one would be able to create food as crisp and delicious as though it had been submerged in roiling oil with only applying a fraction of the admittedly unhealthy substance.
As the wisps of his dream began to rapidly fade away in the light of day, Choji hurriedly began to write down as much as he could before it left him entirely. After such a horrible period of strife, their world needed something joyous to look toward once more, and what could inspire more joy than healthy fried food? With this, Chouji knew, he could uplift the spirits of many, but first he would need to prove that his dream were possible.
His brow furrowed deeply in thought as he pondered just who he should turn to as his first compatriot in his campaign to revolutionize the culinary world? It would need to be someone that would take him seriously, shared his appreciation for a proper calorie to deliciousness ratio, could be trusted not to steal his idea for themselves, and preferably had the ability to aid in his endeavor in a practical way. While moral support was nice to have, at this early stage he first needed to produce results of some variety in order to sway the powers that be into adopting a superior cooking methodology… but he was getting ahead of himself. If he could just convince one person, he was sure that more would follow.
But who to choose?
He pondered this as he began assembling and heating leftovers from the previous night's family gathering, but eventually there could only truly be one answer. After all, it was only natural at this point to turn to this man for aid - it was decided. Choji would first approach Uzumaki Naruto as a possible partner. With hope, his mastery of element of wind would also be of use in the actual ninjutsu they were to create.
Akimichi Chouji set out from his home in search of his first co-conspirator, unaware that he had just embarked upon a path that would irrevocably change the world as he knew it.
