Boots Beats Up Swiper
Dora and Boots were taking a trip to a nearby gym. Boots had recently signed up for the junior boxing league and was going to his weekly practice. With him were his yellow banana print gloves. Suddenly, they both encountered Swiper, the sneaky fox taking Boots' gloves before he or Dora had a chance to say the phrase to stop him. This annoyed Boots more than Dora; he loved those gloves and he hated it when Swiper took their stuff.
They eventually found the gloves in some bushes near where they were, thankfully not damaged. Not long after, they finally reached the gym to begin Boots' lesson. Unfortunately, Swiper appeared again and tried to steal the junior league trophy that the gym's team won last year. Dora and Boots were able to stop him this time, but stealing that trophy was the last straw for Boots, "What's the big deal Swiper, can't you stop swiping for one day?" he asked.
"This is what I do, I ain't ever gonna stop. It's not like you can do anything about it." Swiper mocked.
Boots puffed out his chest and offered Swiper a challenge, "I challenge you to a match. If you win, you can keep the trophy. If I win, you have to stop swiping for a whole week."
Swiper laughed at the challenge but accepted anyway, "That trophy's as good as mine. Get ready to run home crying." The sneaky fox continued to laugh as he went to get a pair of gloves and headgear. Dora brought Boots aside and talk him out of doing the fight.
"Are you sure about this Boots, that trophy means a lot to the team." she told him.
"Don't worry Dora, I won't lose." Boots said. Dora noticed Boots' confidence, he had something planned.
After a few minutes, the match between Swiper and Boots was about to begin. Boots was in his corner practicing a few punches, he wore his special gloves and a yellow padded helmet. Swiper was stretching in his corner, he opted to wear a pair of blue gloves along with matching headgear. Both were called over by Dora, who was serving as the referee, "Alright you two, first to knock out their opponent wins the match. Keep it clean and come out fighting!"
Boots reached a glove towards Swiper to bump it in respect, but the fox just scoffed and sauntered back to his corner. The two fighters stood in their corners until the bell rang, ushering them to come out in their ready stances. At least Boots stood in a ready stance, Swiper just stood there with his gloves on his hips, staring mockingly at Boots, "Tell you what, I'll give you the first shot free." he said while he stuck out his head and tapped his chin, "Go on, give it your best sh-" His words were interrupted courtesy of Boots' glove striking him in the chin. This sent the fox's head snapping back before he wobbled and fell flat on his back, eyes spinning around. Dora began to count Swiper out, but he managed to get up with a stagger at the count of six.
"Geez, this kid's tougher than I thought. Gonna have to get serious." Swiper thought. Dora let the fight continue, and Swiper prepared to beat the monkey senseless. Too bad each of his efforts were met with a successful counter from Boots, who punched him every which way. The fox was sent to the ropes with a hard cross right when the bell rang, everyone cheered for Boots while Swiper stumbled back to his corner, "Oh boy, at this rate I'm not gonna last. Time to get sneaky." the fox thought maliciously.
Swiper secretly dug through the gym bag he brought and pulled out a horseshoe. He then stuffed it into his right glove, chuckling evilly as he did so. Dora noticed this, but had no time to stop him, for the next round was under way. Swiper endured more of Boots' punches and feigned being knocked into a corner, preparing his little surprise. He made a quick punch with his horseshoe laden glove, hoping to stun Boots enough to knock him out. As luck would have it, Boots saw it coming and dodged, causing Swiper to yelp in surprise before being stunned by a hook from the monkey, "Funny thing about putting heavy stuff in your gloves, they slow you down." Boots said.
Boots continued to dominate the match, pounding the fox around the ring while everyone cheered. By the end of it all, Swiper was left swaying in the middle of the ring, cross-eyed with his tongue lopping out. Boots knew it was time to end the match, so he wound up a punch and pulled back, "Nighty night!" Boots shouted before his glove shot forward and slammed into Swiper's snout, sending him flying back a few feet before crashing to the mat near a corner, eyes spinning and picnic baskets circling his head. Dora went over and counted Swiper out, with everyone joining in.
"Uno, Dos, Tres, Quatro, Seis, Cinco, Siete, Ocho, Nueve, Dias!" the all said. The bell rang and Boots raised his gloves in the air, with everyone running into the ring to lift him high in air. Meanwhile, Swiper still laid where he was in his dazed state.
"Oh, man..."
