A/N I know it looks like an April Fools joke, but this is completely serious—I just planned this in advance since February for an elaborate joke that turned into a fic.
Before anything, have a disclaimer.
Disclaimer for whole story: I don't own My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!/DestructionFlag Otome/Hamefura, nor anything related to it.
The only things I own are my ideas and the cover art—which I drew myself, by the way, so I hope you enjoy it!
Having said that, read on!

Geordo Stuart's fifth birthday is just like any other day. It's uneventful, boring, and as usual, it's his younger twin who receives far more attention than him.
It's to be expected, considering Alan's weaker constitution. Although, as of recently, his health has been starting to improve immensely, which is certainly something worth celebrating. It's why their mother went through the extra effort of ensuring that most of Alan's demands are met for the occasion.
As of this current moment, Alan should be stuffing his face with a new type of cake that's been the talk of the kingdom. Geordo doesn't know the full details yet, nor does he currently care to find out just yet. Maybe one day, he'll look into it to see what all the fuss is about.
For now, Geordo decides to spend his time in the garden. There's nothing worthwhile there, but it's at least better than staying inside the castle.
Much to his surprise, he finally receives a break from the boring repetition of his daily life. It takes him a few moments to notice, but there are enough signs that someone else has visited the garden.
After all, he wouldn't have ever made the simple mistake of stepping in mud, and the footprints left behind are too small for it to have come from any of the adults that frequent the garden. Feeling curious, he follows the muddy tracks left behind and soon, he finds himself staring at child that's about his age—a girl with white hair and brown skin.
She stares at the flowers, not caring much about the mud that covers her boots. With every passing moment, she reaches into a box she carries in her arms and pulls out a macaron that she quickly shoves into her mouth. Her manners are unrefined, and her pink dress isn't anything that a noble would wear, which would mean…
"A commoner?" Just what is one doing in the castle gardens?
Upon hearing his voice, the girl turns to look at him—or at least, he assumes that she is looking at him. It's difficult to say, when her bangs are long enough to completely cover her eyes.
"Hello!" she greets him with a wide smile, bringing attention to the mole that dots the area underneath the left side of her mouth. She stuffs another macaron into her mouth, and promptly asks, "Do you also want to look at the flowers?"
"I guess." Geordo forces a smile and does his very best to ignore that this girl is talking with her mouth full of food. It's not as though every child his own age is as conscious about their manners as he is. Regretfully, it is something that he'll have to endure for the next few years.
Which is why he pretends to be listening when the girl babbles on about how pretty the flowers are. He only really tunes in when he hears her mention something about cakes.
"Flowers on cakes?" Just what kind of thought process does this girl have?
"They'd be the perfect decoration!" The topic itself causes the girl to shake vigorously with glee.
Her answer isn't anything that Geordo expects, though he quickly infers that it might have to do with her background. She does appear to be a commoner, so it wouldn't be too surprising if she comes from a family that bakes a lot. Better yet, maybe that's the sort of business her family conducts.
…
"Ah—so that might be the reason why she's here." Considering Alan's demands for cake, Geordo infers that his parents must have hired a baker for the occasion. That, in turn, would explain this child's sudden presence in the garden. There is only one way to find out. "Why are you in the garden?"
"I dunno." The girl shrugs. "I'm just waiting for Papa to finish his work here, so we can head back home."
"Is he the one who made the cake?" Geordo isn't at all surprised to see the girl nodding her head.
"What did you think of it?" she immediately asks. "Be honest!"
"I…haven't had the chance to try it yet." Nor the interest, actually—but Geordo isn't going to just say that so carelessly.
"Ah…well, that's fine." It's not fine, based on how quickly the girl's smile wanes. "Say, since you're here…how do you know the prince?"
…
…
"Pardon?" Geordo tries his hardest to hide his shock.
"Why else would you be here?" The girl tilts her head to the side. "Are you a friend of the prince or something?"
"Do you not know who I am?" Geordo does his best to hide his shock…only to fail when he hears the girl respond so bluntly, "Do I look like I care?"
She has such an innocent smile on her face when she says it, too. She even offers him a macaron, which Geordo actually accepts, far too stunned to do otherwise.
"Who…Who are you?" Geordo finally asks, after a moment of silence.
"My name is Panna Tartt!" the girl eagerly introduces herself. "And you?"
"I thought you didn't care." Geordo barks out a laugh. Really, who is this girl?
"The way you asked implies that I should know you—but I don't." Panna stuffs another macaron into her mouth. "And I don't care about that. What I do care about is knowing who you are now, as we're talking to each other. So I ask again—who are you?"
It takes a full minute for Geordo to process everything. The impact of Panna's words is only lessened by the fact that she continues to speak with her mouth full of food…though, it's not enough to make him completely dismiss her. If anything, it makes Geordo reconsider everything.
After which, he finds himself unable to contain his smile as he finally responds, "My name is Geordo."
Against all odds, it seems that Geordo was finally wrong about something. Could it be that he has finally broken free from his repetitious life?
Only time will tell, but Geordo certainly isn't one to let such an opening escape him. For now, he decides that he'll play along with whatever ignorance has kept Panna from knowing who he actually is.
Even if it means maintaining a straight face when Panna later calls him, "Gerry."
Apparently, her memory isn't the best, though Geordo doesn't care to correct her. It's far more entertaining to see how long this mistake lasts.

A/N Hope y'all are having a good April 1st, because this is something I've had in mind for QUITE a while now. Been going on and on about it on my tumblr, so for everyone who's been waiting patiently…hope you enjoyed this first chapter!
Let me introduce you to Panna Tartt—the SI OC for this fic! She is just like any other of my inserts, except she forgot just about everything in Hamefura.
Literally, she is my experience going back into Destruction Flag Otome/Hamefura, and realizing, "wait—they're twins?!" or "I forgot this guy is the prince." Not helping is the fact that I started off reading a translation of the web novel, which was a long while back—like before it got a manga adaptation. And even now, I still haven't caught up with the manga adaptation nor watched the anime adaptation.
So my memory is all over the place when you just tell me names and mention anyone who isn't Katarina Claes to me. As a result, we got Panna, who literally does not know she is talking to a prince.
Should mention now that Panna isn't even aware that she's in the world of Hamefura just yet. Give it some time, but even then, don't expect her to do much. After all, she doesn't even go here. She's just happy living out her life.
The real kicker is seeing how long that mindset of hers last once Katarina regains memories of her past life, which should be in…three-ish years.
In the meantime, Gerald, here, has set his eyes on Panna, since he is VERY bored and finds her entertaining. Not gonna lie, I don't like him. Compared to the web novel, where he's a bit more bearable, Gordo in the light novel is just…ugh.
Especially compared to a similar character, Cecil, from Observation Record of a Self-proclaimed Villainess' Fiancé. What makes him a far better character is his development, and the way he interacts with his fiancée, Bertia, who is the "self-proclaimed" villainess. Which is why I prefer him, over Jojo, here.
And so, for the sake of comedy, I will deal with the dislike I have for Garry's character, because I'm gonna be honest—Panna is making him quite tolerable. So I'll keep at it, since the entire premise of this fic started off from a tumblr ask that spawned a crackish fic idea and a Mean Girls reference.
By the by, the reason why I keep changing Jordan's name is due to the fact that there are THREE fucking translations for the anime, manga, and light novel, and for some fucking reason, not as single damn one was able to agree on which name to use for Jeord.
This is mostly a running gag going on in my discord server, and I have since embraced it.
Moving on, let's see what sort of butterflies come out from this encounter, cuz I'll say it now—it won't be the last time they'll interact with each other.
Hope you decide to stick around for this fic! Sorry if I haven't been updating much, I've been busy with school and as of recently, one of my dogs suffered from a concussion and she's currently recovering. She's doing better, for anyone wondering, but it was quite the harrowing experience at the time since it's barely been three days since it happened.
I'll do my best to update more in the coming months, so in the meantime, feel free to tell me what you think. I won't bite—just don't ask me about my other fics, yeah?
Then, until next time! Stay safe!
