Easter Fun With Family
Katie was sound asleep when she felt someone climbed up the bed with her and almost laid themselves on top of her, gently nuzzling her neck with their nose, making her giggle and try to bury herself in the blanket.
"Wakey, wakey, cutie!" She heard Thundercracker cooed as he continued nuzzling her head.
Katie giggled as she opens her eyes and saw Thundercracker laying over her like a blanket and he was smiling at her as he nuzzled her nose.
"Thundy," Katie said cutely as she yawned a bit.
"Aww, you're so cute when you wake up!" He cooed, taking her in his arms and sitting up while cuddling her. "Tomorrow's Easter, you excited?" He asked.
"Mmhm," Katie hummed snuggling close to his chest where it was warm. The girls, Autobots, and Cons came to the cabin for Easter Spring Break, and Katie was very excited cause she loved spending Easter with her family.
Thundercracker smiled and nuzzled her as he stood up and carried her to the Protectobots' room, gently plopping her on Hot Spot's chest.
"Ooff!" The leader of the Protectobots huffed as he woke up to see Katie laying down on his chest while rubbing her eyes and Thundercracker smiling at them. "Really? What kind of a wake up call was that? Dropping our baby sister on top of me?" He huffed without heat as he rubbed Katie's head and gently moved her to Groove's arms, who along with the other Protectobots had woken up and they happily snuggled up with Katie when they saw her.
"I thought it would be funny." Thundercracker smirked before yelping when Hot Spot and Blades grabbed and pulled him on the bed. He then burst out laughing as they started tickling his sides.
"Well, we find this funny," Blades said teasingly, getting the seeker's underarms, to which the friendly 'Con howled with laughter.
Katie started giggling tiredly as First Aid wiggled his fingers on her stomach to help her wake up. Just then, Chromia came in and smirked. "If you boys are done goofing around, breakfast is almost ready. And don't forget the little squirt," she said, smiling at Katie, who was still trying to wake up, and walked out.
"What she talking about? How can we forget this cutie?" Streetwise said, nuzzling Katie's head, making her giggle.
Thundercracker, who had gotten free of Blades and Hot Spot, took Katie in his arms again when Groove gave her to him and headed out with the Protectobots not far behind and walked down stairs to see the Autobots, Astrotrain, Skywarp, and a still sleeping Rachel there in the living room, dining room and kitchen. Astrotrain saw Katie in the blue seeker's arms and came towards him, making grabby hands.
"Gimmie," he said.
Thundercracker laughed and gave the honey-haired girl to him as Katie was still trying to wake up as she yawned and rubbed her eyes again. "Daww, she's still trying wake up?" The triple changer asked.
"Yep." The blue seeker said.
"Rachie is still trying to wake up too," Roadbuster chuckled, gesturing the tiny blonde-haired girl snuggling in his arms as she yawned cutely and snuggled closer to the Wrecker, who cuddled her close. "Don't go back to sleep, cutie," he cooed, tickling her stomach, making her giggle and curl up.
Drift, who was next to them on the couch, scooted closer and started nuzzling the blonde-haired girl's neck. "Wake up, Iruka," he cooed softly, making the girl giggle as she opened her eyes and snuggled close to the two Wreckers.
Elita One came in and awed when she saw her daughter snuggling with the Cons. "Let me see my baby," she cooed.
Skywarp, who had been holding Katie, nodded and held her up to Elita, who gently took Katie in her arms and cuddled her close. The tiny honey-haired girl opened her eyes and giggled cutely as she hugged her mother. "Good morning, baby," Elita cooed, kissing her head.
"Hi, Mommy," Katie said cutely.
"Did you sleep good?" The pink femme asked.
"Mmhm," The honey hair girl said.
"Come on, let's go see Daddy," Elita said, taking Katie to the kitchen where Optimus and a few other Autobots were making breakfast. Optimus looked up to see his wife carrying their daughter into the kitchen and smiled as Elita gave him Katie and took his place to make breakfast.
Katie looked up to see Optimus smiling at her and she hugged him. "Morning, baby girl." Optimus cooed softly.
"Hi, Daddy," Katie said cutely.
"Are you ready for Easter tomorrow?" He asked.
Katie nodded her head as she snuggled close to his chest. "Aww, look at her," Twin Twist said with a smile.
"She makes it worth getting up in the mornings," Springer said. "Her and Rachel both."
"Kreemzeek!" The small energy being said happily as he jumped around.
"Kreemzeek, be careful," Blaster warned gently. "Don't need an explosion while we're here."
"Especially where Katie could get hurt," Ultra Magnus said.
The small being stopped jumping around obediently and they all smiled, seeing that he would do anything for Katie.
"We're going to swim in the lake again, decorate eggs, and star gaze tonight," Optimus said to his daughter.
"Yay!" Katie said happily as she yawned again.
"Breakfast is ready!" Prowl said as he, Elita, Jazz, Arcee, Moonracer, and Skyfire brought out breakfast food on the dining room table. The Autobots, Cons, and the girls sat down around the table and passed around the food, with the Autobots and Cons helping the two girls get their food, and started eating.
A bit after breakfast, they went out to swim and Katie giggled as Inferno quickly rubbed sunscreen all over her face and neck, which tickled her. "'Ferno!" She giggled as her big brother rubbed her cheeks gently, slightly squishing her face.
"There we go!" He said, now tossing Katie in the air and caught her in his arms, making her giggle again as they went outside to go swimming.
"Chicken fight!" Rachel cried out happily.
"Oh, it's on!" Sideswipe said eagerly.
The hilarity that ensued was one for the books as Katie went up against each other brothers while sitting on Skywarp's shoulders. The Protectobots were all soon 'pushed' off their perches before Thundercracker also got 'pushed' off. Skyfire, Optimus, Elita, and Astrotrain also took part in it, getting 'pushed' over too, which made Katie the winner.
Rachel sat on Drift's shoulders as she did the chicken fight with Roadbuster, who pretended she had pushed him hard enough for him to fall off of Rodimus' shoulders and Drift chuckled in amusement as the blond-haired girl cheered happily.
After the swim, they all colored the Easter eggs for the Easter Egg hunt the next morning and finished while it was still daylight out. "Hmm, looks like we still have some daylight before stargazing," Rewind said.
"Let's all go for a nature walk then," Arcee suggested.
That was met with agreement and Katie giggled as she ran out the door with Rachel following behind and they started chasing each other while they waited for the Autobots. The tiny blonde-haired girl tackled the tiny honey-haired girl and they both rolled down a little hill, giggling all the way down and laughed when they reached the bottom.
Katie then notice some vines with pretty flowers hanging from there and she stood up and went over to pick some flowers with Rachel right behind her while giggling again before Rachel noticed something from behind the vines. "Katie, look! A cave!" She said.
Katie perked up and gently put her flowers down. "Let's go see!" She said as she crawled inside. Rachel put her flowers down and crawled quickly to catch up with her.
It was beautiful! The cave had golden color crystals glowing around the girls to help them see, making the two distracted by looking at the crystals that they didn't noticed that there was a slope that separated to two paths. Both girls' hands slipped and they both slid down and went to different paths as they screamed.
Rachel yelped when she rolled out of the tunnel and then yelped again when she fell in a hole, her head was spinning for a bit before settling, looking around and her eyes widened at the sight in front of her.
There were white, grey, black, brown, and mixed color fur bunnies everywhere. When they saw the tiny blonde-haired girl, a few of them hopped over and started sniffing her, and then they started nudging her for attention and she started giggling as she petted them, feeling better now that she wasn't alone.
Katie cried out as she slid out of the tunnel and fell on the ground. She slowly sat up and looked around, but there were nothing but trees everywhere around, no sign of anyone.
The honey-haired girl stood up and hugged herself as she felt a little cold. "Rachie?" She called out, but there was no answer. "Daddy? Mommy?" She called out again, but still nothing. She started to get scared and started running while calling out her Autobot family. "DADDY! MOMMY! SPOTY! TC! SKY! UNCLE MAGS!" She cried out as she continued running. "AIDY! GROOVEY! BLADESY! STREETS! HIDEY! MIA! UNCLE JACKY!" She started to cry more and get more scared as she kept running. She then tripped and fell on the grass, crying as she curled up while hugging herself. She felt so tired from running that she fell asleep while curled up against a soft moss covered rock.
Back at the cabin, the others were searching for the two girls. "Katie? Rachel?" Blaster called out as he and the Autobots looked around to find the girls.
"Where are those two sparklings?" Kup asked.
"Chisana Okami!? Chisana Iruka!?" Drift called out.
"KATIE! WHERE ARE YOU!?" Hot Spot called.
"Kate!" Thundercracker cried out as he, Blades, Skywarp, Astrotrain, the Aerialbots, Skyfire, Springer, and Top Spin searched in the air.
"Baby sis!" Blades called.
"Rachie-Rach! Where are you, hun?" Jazz asked, his voice echoing.
"Katie! Rachel! Come on out, lassies!" Skids called out.
"Where did they go?" Bluestreak asked in worry.
Optimus and Elita looked around for their baby girl. "KATIE!" Elita cried out in worry.
"HONEY!" Optimus called out.
Blaster finally decided it was time for some help and opened his cassette compartment, allowing Steeljaw to come out. "Steeljaw, the girls are missing," he said.
Giving a friendly growl as he knew what his guardian was asking, the lion cassette at once began tracking the girls' scent, picking it up and giving a roar before taking off. "He's got their scent!" Blaster said as he and the others followed the cassette. They soon reached the very field the girls had tumbled in.
"They were definitely here," Ratchet said as he picked up the flowers and saw their tracks.
Silverbolt climbed over the hill above and look down to see on the left were a lot of flowers and to the right were the woods. He then saw two tunnels pointing at both directions. "I think the two got separated and went to different paths." He said, showing them.
"Hey look! Their bows!" Moonracer said, hanging from the tunnels were Katie's blue bow and Rachel's pink bow on each side.
"Katie must've went to the right," Streetwise said.
"And Rachel to the left," Roadbuster said with a nod.
"Let's split up, some of us will look on each path, and some will go back to the cabin in case if they come back," Prowl said.
So they split up. Ratchet, Moonracer, Blurr, Arcee, Springer, Top Spin, Twin Twist, Kup, Rodimus, Bumblebee, Firestar, Red Alert, Inferno, and Bluestreak headed back to the cabin while Jazz, Drift, Roadbuster, Blaster, Ramhorn, Rewind, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Skids, Skywarp, and the Aerialbots went to the left path to find Rachel.
Optimus, Elita, the Protectobots, Ironhide, Chromia, Prowl, Ultra Magnus, Skyfire, Wheeljack, Thundercracker, Eject, Steeljaw, and Astrotrain went to the right path to find Katie, hoping the girls were alright.
Jazz's group looked around the field of flowers for the blonde-haired girl, but they couldn't see her. "Rachie couldn't gone far," Roadbuster said.
Sideswipe whistled. "Rachel! Here girl!" He called out.
"She's not a dog, ya doofybot!" Sunstreaker whacked his brother's head in annoyance.
Rewind walked around looking for Rachel when he yelped as he fell down a hole and landed on his bottom. Jazz's group gathered around the hole they had seen him fall down and looked down as they heard giggling. "I found Rachie!" They heard Rewind call out.
Skids shined a flashlight and started laughing. "Och Ai!" He laughed.
They looked to see Rewind sitting next to Rachel, and around them were a lot of bunnies. "Well, look at that," Drift said with a smile as Rachel giggled again.
Blaster reached in and lifted Rewind up before Fireflight reached down and picked Rachel up by her underarms and when he lifted her up, he and the others started laughing when a bunny hopped on her head. "There's a bunny on her head!" Skywarp laughed as he rolled on his stomach.
Rewind began recording as it was just too cute how the bunnies just gathered around Rachel happily. "They like her," he said.
"They're young too," Drift said with a smile.
"Probably why they like her so much," Roadbuster said. "They can sense she's young like them."
Meanwhile...
Optimus' group searched everywhere around the forest for Katie, but there was no sign of her. "Katie!" Chromia called out.
"KATIEEE!" Hot Spot cried out.
"Katie, where are you?!" First Aid called.
"Katie!" Elita called out.
"KATIE!" Optimus cried out.
"She got to be around here," Wheeljack said.
"I hope so, we feel her, but she's so scared," Groove said.
Optimus looked everywhere before he noticed a red and purple light in front of him. It felt familiar to him, so he started following it. "Optimus?" Ultra Magnus asked curiously.
"Optimus?" Elita asked as she and the others quickly followed him.
"I think I know where Katie's at," he said, continuing to follow the light, having no idea it was Alpha Trion leading them to where the girl was.
Primus walked around the forest, also looking for the girl, and spotted Katie resting against the rock. He walked over and kneeled down next to her, gently rubbing the tiny honey-haired girl's head and back as he softly smiled.
Katie shifted a bit and whimpered fearfully. "Shhh...it's alright...you're okay... go back to sleep," Primus cooed softly, gently picking her up and holding her close as he began to walk outside of the forest. When he walked a good distance from the forest, he gently put Katie down on some very soft flowers and used his magic to make flowers cover her up like a soft blanket. When he made sure the tiny girl felt comfortable, he settled down next to her and rubbed her head again.
Katie slowly opened her eyes, noting the gentle touch felt familiar. "Pr-Primus?" She asked softly.
"Shhh...go back to sleep, princess. Your family's coming to pick you up soon...just rest now," he cooed softly, coaxing her to go back to sleep, which she did as she nuzzled into his touch when he rubbed her head again.
Alpha Trion smiled as he saw Optimus, Elita, and their group following far behind him as he stepped outside the forest and saw Primus with Katie, who was sleeping. He walked over to them and kneeled down so Katie was between them. "They're coming," he said as he rubbed Katie's back gently.
"Princess is resting. She was very scared," Primus said, rubbing Katie's head.
"Glad that we could help her and her family," Alpha Trion said.
Primus nodded and looked to see Optimus and his group walk out of the forest. "Here they come. We'll surprise them later. Especially the little one," he said, rubbing a gentle thumb on Katie's cheek. Both him and Alpha Trion gave Katie a kiss on her head before they disappeared.
Optimus, Elita, and the others walked out of the forest and looked ahead before Optimus then noticed something from under a flower like blanket and sees honey-colored hair. "Katie!" He cried out, running towards her.
Elita, Hot Spot, and Thundercracker saw the little girl too and ran towards her as well with the others following behind. Optimus kneeled down and saw that Katie was sleeping while snuggling under the flower blanket.
"How did the flowers formed a blanket?" Wheeljack asked curiously.
Elita sat next to her sparkmate while Hot Spot and Thundercracker settled on Katie's other side as Optimus gently rubbed Katie's head. "Katie, wake up, honey," he cooed.
Katie yawned and rubbed her eyes before opening them to see her parents, Hot Spot, and Thundercracker around her. She then saw First Aid, Groove, Blades, Streetwise, Skyfire, Astrotrain, Ironhide, Prowl, Chromia, Wheeljack, Ultra Magnus, Eject, and Steeljaw behind them too. She looked up at Optimus and Elita. "Daddy...Mommy...," she said as she lifted her arms up.
"Oh, Katie, come here," Optimus cooed, picking her up and cuddling her with Elita.
"We've been looking everywhere for you." Thundercracker said moving closer with Hot Spot.
"Did you get lost?" Hot Spot asked gently.
Katie nodded her head a bit and snuggled close to her father. First Aid gently did a scan. "She's not hurt, but she was very scared," he said,
Katie whimpers sadly as she felt Optimus rubbing her back. "I'm sorry...," she whimpered.
"Don't apologize, it's alright." Prowl said.
Optimus lifted Katie up a bit more as he and the others stood up and walked back to the cabin. The little girl snuggled into his hug until she remembered something. "Daddy?" She asked.
"Yes, sweetspark?" He asked.
"I think I saw Primus and heard Grandpa," she said.
Elita looked at her daughter. "You heard Alpha Trion?" She asked.
The little girl nodded. "That's why that light felt familiar," Optimus said. "He was leading us to find you, sweetie."
"They must be like her guardian angels," Thundercracker said. "Whenever she's in danger, they help her."
"I'm glad they do," Elita said softly, hugging her mate.
They soon made it to the cabin to find the others had found Rachel and some new additions. "Hey! There you guys are! Katie, look what your sister found!" Bluestreak said.
They looked to see a whole heard of bunnies everywhere around the front yard of the cabin with the rest of the Autobots and Rachel petting and playing with them. Katie's eyes widened as a few bunnies spotted them, hopped over, and some looked up at Katie. She made a cute noise as she reached down for them.
"Bunnies!" She said cutely.
Optimus laughed as they regroup with the others and he gently set her down on the grass and watched as the bunnies surrounded her and she started petting them and giggles as they tickled her.
"Now that's a heart-warming sight," Skids said with a smile as the others agreed before they noticed it was nearly nightfall, so they gathered around to stargaze.
Later that night, Katie started having a dream. The honey-haired girl felt warm and smelled flowers around her. She opened her eyes slightly to see someone holding her close, someone who softly shush her. "Go back to sleep, Princess. You'll see me again," he cooed.
Katie could've sworn that it was Primus as she then felt more warmth and fell back to sleep.
Katie yawned as she woke up and felt someone hugging her, looking up to see Hot Spot smiling down at her. "Happy Easter, baby sis," he said, kissing her head.
She giggled and cuddled him. "Happy Easter, bubby," she said cutely.
After she got up, she went to get dressed, huffing as she struggled to get her clothes on. "Good grief, how are you keep getting tangled up with your clothes?" Blades said, chuckling as he helped her out.
"I don't know," she said quietly, feeling embarrassed.
"Hey, don't be like that, baby sis," he said, tickling her neck and making her giggle.
She was soon dressed in a pretty sparkly sky blue shirt, white shorts, blue shoes, and her sky blue bow on the back of her head. They headed out to find the others and saw Rachel, who wearing the same thing as Katie, but with a pink shirt, shoes, and bow, and light grey shorts. "Alright, the Easter Bunny was here early, so who's up for an Easter Egg hunt?" Ironhide asked.
That was met with agreement and got started. Katie giggled as she picked up another egg she had found and put it in her basket, which was starting to fill up. She then looked back up and her eyes widened as she gently dropped her basket when she recognized who was approaching her.
"GRANDPA! PRIMUS!" She excitedly cried out as she ran towards them. Alpha Trion smiled as he caught his granddaughter and picked her up as she hugged him and Primus joined in the hug.
"Happy Easter, Princess," Primus said with a smile.
"How are you, sweetspark?" Alpha Trion asked.
"Good," she said before smiling. "It was you guys yesterday. You found me."
"Yes," Primus said with a nod.
The others were surprised to see the two, but welcomed them to join them as the Easter games got going after the Easter Egg hunt and what fun they were. Some of the eggs they found had dares on them, which were very silly dares, like Sideswipe, Bluestreak, Skids, Top Spin, and Skywarp walking on their knees and making goofy noises. And Katie to do something very cute like waddling around, making cute noises, and hugging everyone while Rachel had to be upside down and trying not to laugh when Roadbuster and Blaster did something to make her laugh. Optimus' dare was to carry Elita bridal style and Elita's dare was to kiss Optimus for five minutes.
Everyone laughed at how silly it was and it wasn't long before they did a tag team egg obstacle race when each player had to hold one egg each and try to meet up with their team mate in the middle, but there were a few obstacles along the way and if they drop their egg, they were out.
The girls giggled as they watched before smiling as they hugged each other, loving that they got to spend Easter with their family because it was always fun.
