A quirk – something Deku will never have. The nerd's head snaps up before he sends him a hurtful look.
"What?" Katsuki barks, smirking as he makes small explosions in his hand.
Deku meets his eyes again; there are tears in his – but he also looks… confident? "Nothing," he says with a fire in his eyes, smiling innocently.
And then he punches Katsuki in the face.
