Hello Kindred Spirits!
A grand hello to all of you!
First I want to say to you all thank you! I know it's literally being years since I've updated or uploaded. Even if you exclude this last year, I've had somewhat of a rollercoaster of a time. I'm in the process of getting my son diagnosed with ASD and ADHD. Time to myself has been far and I between, but you all, right up to this morning were still reviewing and saying hello, and it means so much after all this time you're all still here for me, so thank you!
As always a special thanks to my kindreds CatieGirl and KimBlythe.
Let's count this as a 300 word warm up, to get my Anne and Gilbert hat back on. I've missed you all so!
Love Carrots
AN: no beta mistakes are all mine!
"Fire.
Both dangerous and something we run to. As an evolutionary race, one of the great discoveries were that of fire. The power of it! Bold, strong and destructive. But equally warmth and safety. Through it we have our life meat, we can sterile and make things safe. It's a juxtapose in itself.
Grey.
When the clouds turn grey It's our first sign of rain. Its no guarantee of rain, but an expectation, it serves as a warning. That rain is coming. Rain, like fire is essential, but water is fires, the two can not exist at the same time, in the same place. Another juxtapose.
Green.
The grass is always greener, so it says. But there is something envious about it. Fresh and alive, wonderous and beautiful!
Creamy White.
Angelic. Sent from heaven. Its the colour of the milk of our life, how could anything that colour be anything but heaven sent.
You are Mother Earth.
My Anne."
Roy looked up and into her eyes with his romantic smile and his smouldering eyes.
"That's, so-Romantic!" Anne smiled.
Roy swept her up and hugged her close.
She knew he meant every word, the problem was, they were empty.
It was a twilight breeze which carried them through the house. The lilt of laughter filled the air, the moonlight lit their path. He held her hand then twirled her on the spot. She faced him as his arms slipped down to her waist and he whispered "I love you, Anne."
Anne looked up into his eyes.
Her breath caught and her pupils dilated. Her little house may not be a castle in the sky, it may not be poetic or flowery.
But she was wrapped in the arms of her entire world, joyfully she reached up and kissed him. "I love you Gilbert."
