Prologue
I yowled in pain as Yellowfang treated my wounds and wrapped bandages around my eyes. I felt like I had let my Clanmates down. 'StarClan what do I do now?' I wondered, as I felt around the medicine den. Fireheart and Graystripe had come to check up on me, I could tell they were there by their voices, all ThunderClan cats smell the same, so I relied on voices to recognize cats.
"How are you feeling Bluestar?" I turned my head in the direction of Yellowfang's voice. I sighed and I could feel my ears were lowered. I heard Yellowfang sigh as she went about moving things around in serch of what she needed.
"I feel like I'm letting the Clan down." I said, giving a sad sigh. I heard Yellowfang stop in her task, I felt like she was staring straight at me.
"Bluestar, listen to me. You haven't failed the Clan, you just need to get used to leading the Clan blind." Yellowfang said, and I flinched back at her words.
"Yellowfang, are you crazy? I can't lead ThunderClan with no sight!" I exclaimed, staring in what I assumed was Yellowfang's Direction.
"Bluestar, listen, I think they would understand. It's not your fault, Shadowpelt invaded our camp and she wasn't welcome in ThunderClan Territory." Yellowfang quietly explained, and I slowly nodded my head.
"I feel like a scolded kit" I joked and Yellowfang laughed. I smiled softly and silence fell once again.
"But how am I going to tell the Clan? What will they say? StarClan, what am I going to say?" I said, breaking the silence as I turned to where I thought Yellowfang was located. She sighed again and replied after a short pause.
"StarClan, Bluestar, your just like a kit trying to get them to listen." Yellowfang says, but of course I knew her tone was joking.
"Just tell them the truth. They all know about the attack and no one will blame you." Yellowfang said, I could just imagine her rolling her eyes at me. I sighed for what felt like the fifteenth time today.
"Okay, I'll call a Clan Meeting tonight, but you and Fireheart will help me, is that a deal?" I said, and Yellowfang gave a long, drawn-out sigh and I snickered quietly to myself.
"Fine" she mutters, and I look to where I heard Fireheart and Graystripe making small talk outside of the medicine den.
"How are you doing Bluestar?" I turned my head in the direction of the cat who had spoken.
"I'm fine, thanks for asking, Whitestorm." I say, and I turn back and to the entrance of the medicine den.
"What exactly are you doing Bluestar?" Whitestorm asked, a hint of amusement in his tone. I laughed quietly and twitched my tail.
"I don't really know Whitestorm." I replied, after a few moments of silence, it was the truth, I honestly have no clue what I'm doing anymore, I sighed softly and curled my tail around my paws.
