Hajime Hinata was no more.

Well, it shouldn't be a surprise by now. He knew exactly what was going to happen to him once he accepted the deal. Everything went against him… because he didn't have a talent… he was an outcast.

He had to go to Hope's Peak Academy, he had to prove to everyone that he could be a part of the best. That he wasn't an outcast after all.

"I deserve to be with the Ultimates…" He thought to himself. "I'm nothing without it… nothing…"

He needed to do this. To prove to everyone that he was truly an Ultimate. There was no way that his parents could afford his tuition either, so if he wanted to stay he had to take part in the program.

But of course, he didn't remember it now. In fact, he was a completely different person as of this moment. He was Izuru Kamukura, the Ultimate Hope. Created by Hope's Peak Academy, possessing every talent known to man. In every sense of the word, he was perfect.

But this perfection doesn't come without a catch. Everything bored him. Need him to make a five-star meal? He'll have it done shortly. What about creating the optimal vehicle? The Ultimate Hope could easily do that.

That's why everything was so boring because he was so perfect, nothing ever challenged him.

So when the ones who created him offered to officially make him a student at Hope's Peak Academy, Izuru accepted the offer. He already knew that he didn't have a choice, thanks to his intuition The Ultimate Hope was able to read people like a book. So he went along with the idea.

Plus, it would be less boring in comparison to being their lab rat. The fresh air would feel nicer than the confined, sterile space they had put him in..

It was decided he was given a dorm and assigned to the class of 77-B.

This is how Izuru's journey began.

Izuru walked past the gates and into Hope's Peak Academy.

Well, he would've, if it weren't for a certain someone suddenly blocking his way.

They were a tall, muscular man with intimidating stature. Well, intimidating to normal people. He has short dark greenish-grey hair, pink eyes, and tan skin, wearing a heavy dark-colored jacket with thick fur trimming and a red crest on his left shoulder. Underneath, he wears a white muscle shirt, black pants, and long black boots.

"Do you need something?" Izuru asks.

"I knew I recognized you, you didn't learn your lesson from last time, huh?" The muscular man asked.

"I don't believe we've met. You must be mistaking me for someone else" Izuru began to walk past the man but he continued to block Izuru's way.

"Don't play dumb, it's been a while since last time, but I still recognize your face. You think just because you grew out your hair means that you'd be able to get past me?" He asked.

"Who even are you?"

"I'm the head of security, Juzo Sakakura, the Ultimate Boxer"

"Well 'Ultimate Boxer', you have the wrong person. So let me pass" Izuru said, beginning to get slightly irritated with some hotshot wasting his time. All he wanted to do was get to class, was that really too much to ask?

"I'm not letting a reserve course student pass, go back to where you belong with the other talentless brats"

"Tch, you're mistaking me for the likes of them? You truly are boring…"

"It won't be boring after I'm done with you," The boxer said.

"Give me your best shot"

"With pleasure, punk!" Juzo wound his fist and swung at Izuru. The Ultimate Hope ducked and moved behind Juzo. Grabbing Juzo's right arm and twisting it around his back, he slammed Juzo into a nearby wall, pinning him to it.

"What the hell-?"

"You made a poor decision in testing my patience," Izuru said, applying pressure to the hothead's arm. "Next time, how about you learn your place?"

Juzo clenched his teeth, if Izuru put any more pressure onto his arm, the muscular hothead knew this freak would break it, so…

"Alright, alright, fine!" The Ultimate Boxer grunted. Izuru let go of his arm and took a few steps back.

"Keep this moment in mind any time you are tempted to challenge me," The Ultimate Hope said, beginning to walk away.

"Wait!"

Izuru stopped in his tracks and looked over to Juzo.

"What is it?"

"If you're really an Ultimate, then tell me what yours is," Juzo said.

"Tch, what a boring question. I'm done wasting my time with you. This is beginning to get boring," Izuru said, walking away.

The Ultimate Hope was walking through the halls of Hope's Peak Academy, trying to find the classroom he was attending. He noticed the attention he was getting from the other students. All of them would stare at him when he walked by. It wasn't surprising to him in the slightest, he had extremely long hair and glowing red eyes, of course, that'd bring attention to himself.

But in the end, that was boring to him.

Nonetheless, he eventually arrived at the door of Class 77-B. He had a sneaking suspicion that he would regret going to class, especially when he was allowed to skip it, but hopefully, it wouldn't be as boring as he thought it would.

The Ultimate Bored opened the door and entered the classroom.

Upon entering the classroom, he was greeted at the sight of 15 students and a teacher. Each of the students was sitting in their seats and the teacher was standing at the front of the classroom. The orange-haired teacher looked over at Izuru and smiled at him.

"You must be the new student, right?" She asked.

Izuru nodded, deciding to stay silent. He glanced around the room, taking note of everyone there. Such as a pale man, or the girl playing a video game on her handheld console. From what Izuru had heard from the other students while walking to class, that video game console had only come out recently and was already sold out.

"Well, my name is Chisa Yukizome, it's a pleasure to meet you! How about you introduce yourself and your talent to the class?"

Both Izuru and Chisa knew that this wasn't their first time meeting. It happened the other day when he was given the opportunity to officially enroll at Hope's Peak Academy…

Izuru walked into the headmaster's office. Three people were waiting for him. A black-haired man, someone wearing a white fedora, and a woman with orange hair tied in a ponytail.

The black-haired man looked up at Izuru. "I'm glad you could make it, Izuru"

The Ultimate Hope stayed silent. It was midnight and he was escorted by guards to the headmaster's office. They gave him no explanation. In fact, this was the first time he stepped outside of the facility deep below the school.

"Why don't you take a seat?"

Izuru sat down.

"Why do you require my presence?" Izuru asked.

"Getting to the point already? Well, I can't say I'm surprised. I want to officially enroll you into Hope's Peak Academy. Your ultimate will be the Ultimate Hope" Kirigiri explained.

"Is that why you brought them?" Izuru asked, directing at the man in the fedora and the orange-haired woman.

The headmaster nodded. "The one with the orange hair is Chisa Yukizome, she will be your homeroom teacher for class 77-B"

Izuru stayed silent.

"Perhaps something interesting will happen," Kirigiri mentioned.

Izuru rolled his eyes.

"When will I be enrolled?"

Back in the present day, Izuru stood in front of the class.

"My name is Izuru Kamukura, and my talent is the Ultimate Hope," He said. A pale man in the back of the class perked up at the name of Izuru's talent. While another person, specifically the one with the console, looked up at Izuru when he started talking. Just by looking at her eyes, he could tell that she was shocked about something. Though he didn't know what that could be. Perhaps it was the name of the talent.

"Great! Now, how about you sit right there? In front of him" Chisa, the Ultimate Housekeeper said. Pointing at the empty seat in front of the pale man.

Izuru nodded, and walked over to his seat, ignoring the stares from everyone else. He sat down and the lesson began. Izuru became bored the second Chisa began her lesson. Instead, he started looking out the window.

At that point, the Ultimate Hope had zoned out, lost in his own thoughts. For what felt like hours was simply minutes. He was tempted to just walk out of the classroom. That is until he felt a tap on his shoulder.

Izuru turned around to look at the student behind him. He had messy shoulder-length hair and light grey-green eyes. He was wearing a knee-length dark green zipper hoodie with a jagged-cut tail. Underneath, he wears a white scoop-neck t-shirt with a red design on the front while also wearing a pair of plain black jeans.

"So you're the Ultimate Hope?" The pale man whispered, leaning towards Izuru.

"That is the title I have been given," Izuru responded.

"So… what is your talent? What do you do? I'm eager to hear from the Ultimate Hope. I'll gladly do anything for you in order to bring hope to others"

The pale man leaned in closer to Izuru, a twisted smile growing on his face as his voice grew louder. "And I mean anything. I'll gladly be a stepping stone for your ultimates, to see all of you rise against any despair. I'll-"

Izuru put his hand over the pale man's mouth. "You're too loud," He said, then moved his hand away from the man's mouth. "What's your name anyway?"

"You… the Ultimate Hope… really want to know the name of a talentless piece of trash like me?" Suddenly, the man stood up, walked beside Izuru's desk, and went on his knees.

"Thank you! My name is Nagito Komaeda, I'm the Ultimate Lucky Student! I'll gladly do anything for the Ultimate Hope, anything!" Nagito was violently shaking, his hands were clasped together while he looked up at Izuru.

At this point, everyone in the class was staring at the two of them.

"At least things got interesting…" Izuru mumbled.

Nagito looked around the classroom. "Ah, I completely forgot that I was in a classroom, don't mind me" He said, waving them off as he stood up and sat back down in his seat.

Things may have gotten interesting, but Izuru had a sneaking suspicion that Nagito would be more of a nuisance than something interesting, especially after his sudden outburst.

Eventually, the bell rang and the class was finally over. As Izuru stood up a voice called out to him.

"Izuru, may I talk to you for a moment?"

The voice turned out to be the teacher, Chisa. Izuru begrudgingly walked up to the front of the classroom. Everyone else had left so it was just the two of them. The Ultimate Housekeeper walked past Izuru and closed the windows and blinds. She also locked the door. Whatever was going to happen, it was clear to the Ultimate Hope that she didn't want to risk anyone hearing about this.

"You seem cautious," Izuru commented. "Perhaps too cautious, care to explain why we're locked in a classroom together?"

"Well…" Chisa began as she walked past Izuru. "Are you fitting in with the others?"

Izuru scoffed, "Does it matter? It's likely that I will end up skipping this class anyways. After all, so long as I pass their tests I should be allowed to do whatever, so long as it follows the rules"

"Oh no, you don't!" Chisa walked up to Izuru and planted her hands on his shoulders. "You're going to come back here tomorrow, whether you like it or not"

The Ultimate Hope raised an eyebrow. "But it isn't against the rules, how would you be able to force me into class?"

"Trust me, if I'm able to get the rest of these rotten oranges in here, then I can do the same for you too" The Housekeeper responded.

"You're clearly underestimating me"

"Maybe I am, but I'm always up for a challenge~!"

"Of course you are…"

Izuru looked around the classroom with his arms crossed. "So, what's the real reason you wanted to talk to me? I find it hard to believe that you would go to such great lengths in keeping this conversation a secret if it was just about how I'm fitting in. So tell me Yukizome… what do you want from me?"

"Ah, you found me out huh? Well, I just wanted to know what your Ultimate Hope talent really is," she said.

"Didn't they tell you?" Izuru asked, uncrossing his arms.

"No, they didn't tell me anything about it. They're being way too secretive" Chisa explained, sighing in frustration.

"If they are being secretive, then maybe you shouldn't go poking around. There's a saying… curiosity killed the cat, that could be you"

"So you're saying I could get killed for trying to find out?"

"I doubt it, but you could lose your job, and maybe even your reputation, if you keep poking for answers" Izuru answered.

"I see… Well, thank you for the advice Izuru!" Chisa said, smiling at him.

Izuru rolled his eyes. "May I leave now?"

Chisa nodded.

"Then goodbye, Yukizome-Sensei," Izuru said, walking towards the classroom door.

"Oh, Izuru, one more thing!" She said.

Izuru sighed and stopped in his tracks, looking over to Chisa.

"I look forward to seeing you tomorrow," The Ultimate Housekeeper said, giving him a warm smile.

Izuru, not saying a word, left the classroom.

Izuru walked to the back of the school for some peace and quiet, sighing in relief that nobody was there. He sat down and began to think about what he could do next. But that thought was quickly interrupted by some footsteps approaching.

He let out a disappointed sigh and stood up, waiting for the person to walk around the corner. When the person did, he was greeted with a short, pale mauve haired woman wearing a white clip in her hair of a spaceship. She was wearing a one-button dark teal-grey cardigan, a white buttoned shirt with a black shirt line, with a pink ribbon, and a pale beige skirt also wearing a pink backpack.

"Do you need something?" Izuru asked.

He recognized the girl. She was the girl who was looking at him with that shocked expression in her eyes.

"Hajime…?" The girl squeaked out.

"Who?"

"Hajime, you're Hajime… right? You sound like him and… I recognize your face"

"It appears you have the wrong person"

An expression of disappointment fell onto the girl's face.

"Oh… well, I'm sorry for bothering you," Said the girl, before running off.

"Huh… That was odd…" Izuru mumbled to himself. He looked up at the sky as the sun began to set. He decided to go back to his dorm before it got dark. There was a curfew after all, although it wouldn't begin until hours from now, he just wanted some peace and quiet.

Upon entering his dorm, he was greeted with a fairly small yet cozy room. Closing the door behind himself and locking it, he walked over to the bed and laid down on it, kicking off his shoes. For some reason, he was exhausted. Maybe it was all of the social interaction. After all, this was his first time actually being a part of society. He had spent his life up until now stuck in a room until he was brought to another room and told what to do. So having to deal with such eccentric people was… new to him.

Izuru closed his eyes, beginning to fade away from consciousness. What will happen tomorrow? Will he go back to class or just skip it? Who will he meet next?

Who can say?

All Izuru knows for sure is one thing…

Tomorrow is another day.
