Chapter: 1 Lions Dishonour
As she watched with growing annoyance, the ostensibly 'good' students who self-styled themselves as the 'marauders', continued to cause havoc amongst those having the misfortune to be sitting near them further down the Gryffindor House table.
Head Girl Mureal Teare quietly gnashed her teeth at the continuously disgraceful behaviour of the self-styled marauders! That useless politician who masqueraded as the Headmaster who was currently fart arsing about at the Head table, and as she watched she saw him stop an obviously fuming McGonagall from leaving her seat to deal with them. Moments later she saw the old todger rise and depart the Great Hall.
Taking a gulp of her tea and finishing off her dessert of Manx slim cakes before rising to do her duty. She just didn't want Stumbles interfering before she had everything publicly sorted. McGonagall might've been ordered off but neither she nor the other prefects hadn't been.
It had taken her some fast talking and consulting of the school rules and the School Charter but tonight operation School Justice began.
After a deep fortifying breath, Mureal stood up. Looking around the Great Hall she saw the other prefects watching for her signal. Nodding down the Gryffindor House table to all the Gryffindor prefects as they all stood, before joining her standing in front of the Marauders.
As she and the 6 Gryffindor prefects lined up opposite the troublemakers all the students quietened down and many instinctively moved away from the marauders who were looking around in confusion. They were not used to being the centre of attention before been caught having a bit of fun.
"James Fleamont Potter and Sirius Orion Black. Stand up!" ordered Head Girl Teare.
After they slowly complied in obvious confusion Mureal continued. "The pair of you have been subject to a review of your fitness to represent Gryffindor by your peers. As per the School Charter you are hereby been notified of our findings. You both have been found seriously wanting.
"Your mutual faults are that in the last 3 and a half years since you first stepped on the Hogwarts Express you have:
Frequently and malicious intention done criminal deeds targeting other students;
Attempted murder or attempted grievous body harm resulting in permanent blindness of a 13-year-old female student and injuring other students sitting nearby;
Frequently lying to staff;
Theft of over 591 personal belongings;
Theft and destruction of over 259 pieces of other students' notes, books and homework;
Aggravated assaults resulting in 138 visits of your victims to the Hospital Wing;
14 counts of grievous body harm and serious injuries resulting in victims been transferred to St Mungos;
Verbally abusive to others;
Being sexually offensive to others;
Sexual harassment of others;
Harassment of others;
Ruin of numerous articles of clothes and personal belongings of others;
Perverting the course of justice;
Frequent disruptive behaviour resulting in interruptions to classes;
Recurrent disruptive behaviour resulting in disruptions whilst others are studying;
Everyday disruptive behaviour resulting in homework being destroyed or requiring regular re-writes;
Failing to uphold the Honour of Gryffindor House;
Cowardice by never honestly confronting others;
Leading fellow hyenas in attacking lone students normally at odds of 4 to 1;
Numerous activities that break school rules;
Criminal behaviour breaking laws and regulations of both the United Kingdom and the minor Ministry for Magic;
Encouraging others to follow your criminal and Dark behaviour;
Carrying out pre-planned activities resulting in deliberate harm to others;
Doing inappropriate Dark activities from a perverted sense of so-called fun;
Activities which encourage friends and foes to follow you down your twisted Dark path;
In short you two have been deemed during your time at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry by Gryffindor House to be failures. You have consistently failed to live up to the Code of Gryffindor whilst encouraging your Housemates to live down to your abysmal Dark standards despite repeat detentions, points loss, rebukes and counselling from prefects, professors and other staff.
After some considerable investigations and consequent debate Gryffindor House hereby resolves to publicly censure both James Fleamont Potter and Sirius Orion Black for border-line Dark activities. To whit both James Fleamont Potter and Sirius Orion Black are hereby deemed for the period of the next 3 months minimum to be unfit to be considered Gryffindors and are hereby suspended from Gryffindor. Thus:
They are forbidden access to Gryffindor House – the password will be changed and they are NOT to be informed of the new password;
They are forbidden from wearing Gryffindor House colours;
They are forbidden from communicating with any Gryffindor House member still in good standing by any means;
They are forbidden from referring to themselves as Gryffindors;
They are forbidden from participating in Gryffindor House activities;
They are forbidden from associating with anybody still entitled to wear Gryffindor colours;
They are forbidden from sitting at the Gryffindor House table or attending classes as a Gryffindor;
Well before she took her next breath the two young men were both almost swaying on their feet and their faces were white with shock and disbelief.
For the next 3 months these two students are only to be referred to as the Disgraced One(s);
The Disgraced One(s) are hereby removed from the Gryffindor quidditch team until further notice;
The Disgraced One(s) may no longer gain nor lose points for Gryffindor House;
The Disgraced One(s) school necessities will be provided to them;
The Disgraced One(s) will have all non-school required items removed from their possession until completion of the censure;
The Disgraced Ones are to serve their punishment separate from each other;
Accommodations for the Disgraced One(s) will be found elsewhere than Gryffindor Tower for the duration of their punishment;
Their quarters are to be kept as far apart as practical;
If required they are to be escorted by a prefect when outside of their quarters who will carry their wands for them when not in class;
"To be considered eligible for reinstatement you must seriously improve your behaviour to at least the minimum House standards. Copies of the School Charter will be provided to you both.
Your Head of House will be advised in writing of these corrective actions in the hope that you learn to behave as decent human beings."
"This is the judgement of the Prefects entire as per the School Charter and your punishment begins tonight!"
Abruptly the boys uniforms lost all House colours and badges and revered to the plain black uniforms of an un-Sorted Firstie.
