Hello everyone, hope you are having a good time under these circumstances with quarantine. We just have to have fun in what ever way we can. But enough about that.
This is my first story that takes place in the new region… the Galar region. Hope you enjoy.
Narration:
The Galar region…. a region teaming with beauty, culture, strong Pokemon and a strange phenomenon called Gigantamax, as far as scientists have discovered it was only seen in this region only. As of yet we have no idea on what this is fully, all that we do know is it has something to do with the 'Wishing stars' that fall from the sky.
This new power causes the Pokemon to grow bigger with a reddish pink aura surrounding them, science has also learned that this new form has similarities to Mega-Evolution found in the Kalos and Hoenn region, where a Pokemon can temperarilly evolve past its final form
And thats where our little heroes are going. The two decided to visit the Galar region for their or what WOULD be their six year anniversary of dating, the two had just realized their feelings during the Team Flare crisis back in Kalos.
Our story begins just when the couple (and Pikachu too) met one of the Professors assistants, this one was from the Galar region, her name was Sonia and her Pokemon, named Yamper— a small electric type from the region.
The couple had just arrived at the Professors lab. Eager to know what surprise he had for them, Ash was practically ecstatic about the idea of going to a new region, especially if this region had a league, but surprisingly he wasn't going there for the league— it was almost his anniversary with Serena.
"So Professor who is this friend of yours?" Ash asked, only to get a slap on the shoulder from his girlfriend
"Ash, you shouldn't be so forward with strangers" Serena said with disappointment.
"No its fine, my name is Sonia, i am actually the Professors assistant" Sonia said with a giggle.
"Im Ash and this is my partner Pikachu"
"Pika" (T: Hi)
"And Im Serena, nice to meet you"
Sonia smiled at the small group but noticed Yamper nuzzling Serena's leg affectionately. Serena giggled and bent down to pet the small electric type who nuzzled into her hand.
"Sorry about my Yamper, he's very sociable especially with new people" Sonia said.
"Thats no problem at all, he's a real sweetie" Serena said. She and Ash sat down on some chairs Yamper excitedly hopped on to Serena's lap and laid down on the girls lap. She began stroking the electric type who began cooing in enjoyment from all the attention.
"So anyway, Ash have you ever heard of Gigantamax?" Sonia asked. This got the attention of Ash and Serena, who looked at each other confused before turning back and shaking their heads in unison.
"Scientists are researching it right now. Ash— how would you and Serena like to come down to learn about it? The Galar region has some beautiful cities and towns, and is rich with all kinds of history and lore to learn about" Sonia said with a smile.
"Then we'll be sure to check it out. It's almost our sixth year anniversary of dating. We'd love to join you Sonia" Serena said happily.
"Great, in the Galar region we use a flying taxi service. I'll lead you to them" Sonia said.
"Yeah, lets go Pikachu" Ash said excitedly. "Pika Pika chu" Pikachu said happily (T: Lets go)
"Ash, shouldn't you inform your mother before leaving?" Serena asked in a tone that told her boyfriend he'd forgotten something.
"Oh… right i guess i should do that huh?' Ash said sheepishly scratching the back of his head.
"Sonia do you want to come with us to meet Ash's mom?" Serena offered.
Sonia shook her head. "No thanks but thanks for the offer, i'm just going to look around the reserve with the professor, to see what i could earn about Ashs' Pokemon while I'm here" Sonia explained kindly.
"Ok. We'll be right back" Serena said.
The honey blond girl took Ash' hand as the two walked to Delia's house to say goodbye before they headed out for their anniversary getaway. The two knocked on the door before they were greeted by the smiling face of Delia Ketchum.
"Hello Serena, hello Ash, what could you need?" Delia asked.
"We'd just like to say that we're heading out to Galar pretty soon, we're just saying goodbye before we head off" Serena said before giving her boyfriends mother a hug, who returned it wholeheartedly.
"Well i hope you have a great time dear, just take good care of him" Delia said.
"… And be sure to remind him to change his you-know-whats everyday" Delia said teasingly.
"MOM" Ash said in embarrassment, his cheeks proving that fact. Serena laughing at her boyfriends flustered face. She thought Ash looked cute when he got flustered or embarrassed.
"Well we better be off now, bye mom. See you soon," Ash said, who'd remained silent aside from that outburst.
"Bye kids, i'll talk to you soon" Delia called out while waving happily.
"Alright Ash lets go back to the Professors lab now, Sonia must be waiting" Serena said while Ash nodded in agreement.
A few minutes later the two had arrived at Professor Oaks laboratory, eager to find Sonia and be on their way.
"So how'd that talk with your mother go?" Professor oak asked.
"It went well, Serena and I are ready to head to Galar now" Ash said with confidence.
"Well then i'd be happy to take you there right away" a voice said. The two looked behind them to see Sonia had just walked back in the laboratory, with Yamper right beside her feet.
"i'll lead you to the Taxis' now, right this way" Sonia said, when the group found them they saw a swanna and a Pigeotto, The two got on the Pigeotto while Sonia got on the Swanna's back and the two took off. Serena holding tightly on to Ash so she wouldn't fall off.
(Hours later)
"Can you believe it buddy? We're finally in the Galar region" Ash said with excitement.
"This region is so beautiful" Serena said while looking at all the lights that illuminated the area around them
"Pika" the electric rodent gasped in awe as well, copying his trainers and Serena's reaction.
"Lets find a Pokemon center and rest for the night" Ash said, Serena nodded but before they could move a sudden voice called out to them.
"Hey, over here. You need a hand?" a voice called not too far from them. Ash and Serena turned to see a boy around their age with black hair and light brown eyes, wearing a black shirt with a blue fur coat over it, black pants and shoes.
"Hi, i couldn't help but notice you were lost in thought. Are you looking for the Pokemon center?" the boy asked. Serena nodded.
"I'm Hop by the way. And welcome to our beautiful Galar region" Hop said extending a hand for a hand shake. Ash and his girlfriend took his hand and shook it, and the three walked to the nearest Pokemon center.
"So what brings you to our region?" Hop asked.
"We're approaching our anniversary as Boyfriend and Girlfriend, and so we decided to visit" Serena said, looking at all the buildings.
"That sounds nice, if you need any help or advice, just ask" Hop said with a smile. The two watched him walk up to the front desk and ask for two rooms, soon he came back and handed them their keys.
"Here you go, Ash and Serena, i'd figured you'd want a room with a king sized bed so here you are" Hop said. "Room 6 is yours, and again if you need anything my room will be right next to yours, mine is room 7" he added.
"Good night" the three said in unison.
"Pika" Pikachu said. (T: Goodnight)
(With Ash and Serena)
The couple made it into their room, the room was a decent sized room with a living room, kitchen and bedroom. The room was similar in style to a low rent apartment. Ash and Serena made it to the bed room and turned in for the night, since it was so late in the night the two skipped dinner.
"I love you Serena" Ash said in a whisper.
"I love you too Ash" Serena said. Pikachu was sleeping soundly on the armchair in their room.
(The next day)
Ash and Serena were still sleeping soundly in their bed, the honey blonde girl was resting her head on Ash's' neck, her hand resting on her boyfriends chest, her content breathing was the only thing being heard in that room.
Suddenly Ash began to stir awake, he slowly opened his eyes and glance at his Girlfriend sleeping next to him, her peaceful breathing was relaxing to him,the two had to leave for Circhester soon, he gently shook her awake. She moaned a bit as she began to stir in her sleep.
"Wake up Serena" Ash sang.
"Five more minutes mommy" Serena said in her sleep. Ash chuckled.
"Fine, five more minutes" Ash whispered. Serena sighed and held Ash tighter. around five minutes or so the honey blonde began to open her eyes and smiled.
"Morning sleepyhead" Ash joked.
"Good morning sweetie" Serena said
The two rubbed their eyes and got dressed, a few minutes after the two got dressed they saw Pikachu who had just woke up. He was smiling as he ran all the way up to his trainers shoulder and smiled widely.
"Morning buddy" Ash said.
"Pika" Pikachu greeted. (T: Morning)
The three went down to the Pokemon center to have breakfast and were greeted by Hop, who was already waiting for them.
"Over here guys" Hop said. the couple walked over to their table and sat down. "Do you know how to get to Circhester from here?" Serena asked.
"I do. The galar region has a big metro system that we use to get around" hop explained. "Circhester is a beautiful sight to behold at night" he said.
"Are there any Pokemon around here? I'm a performer and i wanted to add to my team roster, i was looking through the rotom-phone that Sonia gave us, i really like Gossifleur and its evolution. Its perfect" Serena said.
"I see, i'd be happy to give you a hand, Gossifleur are common around route 3, we're close to route three and the train station that in the same area" Hop said. The three ate their breakfast and left the Pokemon center.
(One off screen battle later)
"Yay i caught a Gossifleur" Serena cheered.
"Good job honey" Ash said with his usual toothy grin, the two looked towards Hop to see him clapping. "You did a fine job Serena, excellent catch" He said. Serena nodded "Pi Pikachu" Pikachu cheered.
"Thank you everyone, now lets get going" Ash said energetically, Serena giggled at his childlike innocence and fallowed him, it didn't take long for the three to reach the train station.
"Well i better head off" Hop said. The couple was sad that he had to leave so suddenly but they nodded solemnly. "See you later" Hop waved.
"Hello and how may i help you?" the cashier asked.
"We'd like two tickets to Circhester please" Ash said.
"Certainly" the cashier said with a smile. he began to type a few things on a computer and a few minutes later they were all set to board their train. "And here are your tickets, have a nice trip" he said happily. "Will do" Ash said. "Oh and one more thing, its really cold in Circhester so dress warm if you plan on staying there" he warned.
"Ok Thank you for the heads up" Ash thanked. He and Serena went aboard the train and sat down. "The map/guide says it takes two days to reach Circhester, we should explore the train a bit if you'd want" Serena informed.
"Alright, but i think I'm gonna head back to sleep if you don't mind" Ash said. Serena frowned a bit but smiled softly, she couldn't be mad at him for anything.
"Ok, sleep well" she wished. Serena took a blanket out of her bag and draped it around her boyfriend snugly and kissed his cheek, her boyfriend used his backpack as a pillow. She sat down next to Ashs' sleeping figure and took out her guide and tapped the 'things to do' tab and was amazed, Circhester had its own restaurant, hotel and clothing store and even a hot spring. There were even some promising Pokemon that lived in the grass areas near the city routes.
'I think i have a perfect idea for what we're going to do' Serena thought.
(a few hours later)
"What'd i miss?' Ash asked groggily as he sat up with a yawn. Serena noticed and smiled at him, "Not much. There a whole lot to do in Circhester, they have a restaurant, hotel and a clothing store and even a hot spring, there" she said.
"It has all that?" Ash asked.
A nod.
"We should get a gift for Bonnie" Ash said. His girlfriend looked at him with a smile, "Hey, thats a great idea" Serena said happily.
With their minds made up the two were eagerly anticipating their arrival to Circhester. The two knew they had a long way to travel, so they did everything together, they also talked to some of the passengers to learn more about the region. Admittedly the couples trip to get to the small village was long but they didn't mind at all.
It was almost their anniversary… who wouldn't?
(Two days later)
The couple got off their train to see nothing before them but snow blanketing the area entirely, snow flakes were everywhere, Ash and Serena had dawned their winter attire and set fourth to Circhester.
"Its so cold here, we need to get somewhere warm" Ash said.
"I know, we should be arriving in about ten minutes if we're fast, according to this map" Serena said, pointing at their current location on the electric device. "Pika Pika" Pikachu said. (T: Its freezing)
"I hear you buddy, i agree" Ash said.
"So where are we anyway?" Ash asked.
"Route 9, We have to cross some icy waters but after that it should be smooth from there" Serena explained. "Lets move it" Ash said. Eagerly running off, his girlfriend sighed behind him.
'My Ash, so excited to face the unknown' Serena thought with a happy smile. 'You've raised a special boy, Delia. I'll do everything i can to protect him… and to make sure he changes his underwear' Serena thought. Giggling at that last part.
(Ten minutes later, insert Circhester theme)
The two had made it to circhester, and it was a beautiful sight to behold in person, it was like being in a snow globe. Serena was awe stricken as tears threatened to dampen her face. She'd never seen something so beautiful.
"Im right here Serena. Its alright" Ash comforted her.
"Its… so… beautiful" Serena whined. "I've never seen a place so beautiful" she sobbed.
"Shhhhh, i know it is. That is why we're here, isn't it sweetheart?" Ash said. half joking and trying to comfort her, after a few moments she pulled back "I'm sorry Ash" she sniffed.
"Also your bad with jokes" Serena said with a slight smile.
"Pikachu Pi" the rodent said. (T: Your terrible with jokes)
"STOP REMINDING ME" Ash said, his face beet red. The girl and the electric mouse were giggling jovially at their trainers reaction.
"We should check into a hotel, do you know where it is?" Ash asked. Serena checked her rotom-phone and she was able to find it. "Ah ha, i found it" Serena said happily in excitement.
"Finally, i can feel warm again" Ash cheered. Until a grumbling sound was heard, making his girlfriend and First partner sweat drop.
"Sorry" Ash said. "Are their any good restaurants here Serena?' Ash asked.
"Mmhmm, there is one. Its called Bob-is-your-uncle and its specialty is curry" Serena explained.
"Lets go" Ash said.
(A few minutes later)
"Mmmm, this stuff is delish!" Ash said as he grabbed another spoonful of curry.
"Yeah, it's a Galarian specialty. It is especially good out here in the frigid cold," said Serena.
Pikachu said, "Pika pi." (T: I agree this stuff is great). Ash and Serena were about to finish their meals when they saw something scurry across the ground really quickly.
Serena asked, "What was that?"
Ash said, "I bet it's a Pokemon."
Pikachu said, "Pika! pi" (T: Me too! hmm.) Pikachu, Ash, and Serena turned their heads searching for the creature that made this noise. Then they heard a sudden chewing. They all looked at the table to see a small rodent-like Pokemon eating the rest of their food nonchalantly.
Ash said, "It looks like we have an uninvited guest at our table."
Serena asked, "Oh, who's this little guy?"
Ash pulled out his Rotom phone and said, "Oh this guy is a Morpeko, it's a dark and electric type."
Serena said, "Oh Bonnie was telling us about these things they are so cute. Almost as cute as Pikachu here."
Pikachu blushed at the praise and said, "Pika." (T: Thank you.)
Serena said, "Hey why don't we catch it for Bonnie."
Ash said, "Yeah that's a great idea." as he did a small fist pump.
Pikachu mimicked his trainer and said, "Pika." (T: I agree.) Morpeko was still busy eating the food not noticing the three talking about it as it was finishing the last plate of curry.
Ash pulled out a Pokeball and said, "Hey there little guy." as he approached the little big eater. Morpeko's attention moved from food to Ash as it looked at the young man with curious eyes. "You have some appetite. Would you like to come with us? we know a person who would really love you."
Pikachu ran up to it and said, "Pika chu pi." (T: yeah, it will be great. It is amazing to have a trainer.)
Morpeko sniffed the Pokeball Ash held out to it almost as if it thought it was food. Ash then tapped it with the device and the surprised Pokemon was sucked into the Pokeball. The Pokeball shook a couple times before Morpeko burst out. It seemed to be startled and it ran off.
Ash said, "No Morpeko wait, we just want to be your friends."
Serena said, "Yeah, please wait."
Pikachu said, "Pika pika." (T: please come back.)
Ash and Serena were walking around in the snowy forest area still out looking for Pokemon, it sheepishly reminded Ash of how stupid he was being that one time in Kalos when he lost to that ice-type gym leader. For Serena that was a fond memory, not the part about her throwing snowballs at Ash but the fact that she felt that brought them closer. Pikachu was taking the lead when they saw it again, the Morpeko they tried to catch earlier.
Serena said, "There it is the Morpeko!"
Ash said, "Yeah, and this time I don't think we are going to let it get away. Pikachu I choose you." Ash's shout alerted Morpeko but Pikachu was quick to jump in for a battle.
Pikachu said "Chu!" (T: I am so ready for this.)
Ash said, "Pikachu use quick attack." Pikachu darted into battle before Morpeko could even move.
Pikachu said, "Pi!"(T: *random grunt*) Pikachu rushed and slammed into the smaller rodent Pokemon. Morpeko was not going to just sit there it got up but it didn't get angry it got Hangry. Morpeko completely changed form, its yellow fur turning purple and both of its ears turning black its face was filled with pure-hunger-driven-rage. It then shot a small bolt of lightning.
Serena said, "Woah, I think it just changed form. I wonder what its new form is."
Ash said, "I don't know but I do know it just used thundershock so Pikachu counter with thunderbolt."
Pikachu said, "Pika pi." (T: you got it.) Pikachu then unleashed its own bolt of electrical energy. The bolts clashed for a second but it was obvious which one was stronger.
Morpeko was hit and it cried, "Morpek." (T: Ouch.) Morpeko was still determined to fight.
Ash said, "Wow this little guy is strong."
Serena said, "And it is Hangry too, it says here when Morpeko gets hungry its changes into a different form where it becomes extremely violent. Be careful you two."
Ash said, "Don't worry, Okay Pikachu use electro ball."
Pikachu said, "PIKAA CHU!" Pikachu jumped up and tossed a ball of electricity from its tail.
Morpeko said, "MORPEKO!" in extreme rage. It ran and as it ran a wheel of dark energy formed around it. It ran right into the electric ball and smashed through it.
Ash said, "Wha?!" in shock.
Pikachu reacted the same, "Pika?!" (T: Wha?!) Morpeko then rapidly slammed into Pikachu and refused to let up as it repeatedly slammed into Pikachu with its dark wheel each time getting faster and faster until Pikachu was knocked out cold.
Morpeko then changed back to normal and scurried off.
Ash said, "Wow Morpeko was powerful, what was that?"
Serena pulled out her Rotom phone and said, "according to this that was a move called Aura wheel it is a move that changes depending on Morpeko's form. It is a really powerful move. It also gets faster every time it is used."
Ash said, "It really was powerful, right buddy."
Pikachu who recovered said, "Pika." (T: You can say that again.)
Serena said, "I think I have an idea for next time we see that little guy."
Ash said, "You said, that was its hangry form right?"
Serena said, "Yeah."
Ash said, "Hmm, I think I have a plan too."
Serena said, "Sylveon come on out." Serena tossed a Pokeball up and Sylveon came out.
Ash said, "Let's go I think we can catch up with it still." Serena, Ash, Pikachu, and Sylveon ran after Morpeko. They quickly caught up with the little electric and dark type pokemon.
Serena said, "It's our turn to try Sylveon, let's do it our way."
Morpeko looked at them with suspicion and changed into its hangry mode, "Morpek!" (T: *battle cry*)
Sylveon said, "Sylveon." (T: I am ready.)
Serena said, "Calm Morpeko down." Sylveon stretched its feelers out to a confused Morpeko and tried to calm it.
Ash said, "Great idea Sylveon can try to calm it."
Pikachu said, "Pika!" (T: Yeah Sylveon) Morpeko struggled to stay Hangry as it shifted between forms as Sylveon stroked it with its feelers.
Morpeko felt mixed emotions as this happened, "Peko, peko, peko… mor... mor, peko," (T: What? Ah, urh, oh… huh, ooh.) Ash, Serena, and Pikachu watched in suspense as Morpeko shifted through its forms but then it shifted into hangry mode and used bite on Sylveon's feelers.
Sylveon flinch and said, "Veon!" (T: Ouch!)
Morpeko then ran off again.
Serena said, "Ahh, and we were so close you did so good Sylveon."
Ash said, "I guess its hunger got the best of us."
Serena said, "How are we going to catch it then?"
Ash said, "I got an idea but we are going to need to talk to the professor."
Serena said, "Okay."
Ash said, "Let's go." The two then ran to the Pokemon center and Ash called the Professor.
Professor Oak asked with a smile, "Why hello there my boy how have you been, sorry if I'm prodding but if i may, how is your anniversary in Galar with Serena going?"
Ash said, "It is going great but we need your help professor, we are trying to catch a Morpeko."
Professor Oak said, "Oh, I see that is one hard to catch Pokemon how can I help Ash?."
Ash said, "Well you know how Morpeko can change its form when it gets hungry I was thinking we give it something to eat so it doesn't stay hungry."
Professor Oak asked, "How do you plan on doing that Ash? A Morpeko can take down dozens of berry trees a day it will be extremely hard if not impossible to satisfy it."
Ash said, "Well I thought that way about a certain other heavy eater we both know but then you showed how you could fill him up."
Professor Oak then realized what Ash was getting at, "Oh, you mean Snorlax why that is a great idea my boy so you want me to send you the recipe."
Ash said, "That would be great Professor."
Serena asked, "Ash what's your plan why does Professor Oak need a recipe?"
Ash said, "Well my Snorlax eats a ton of food and the only way Professor Oak can feed him is with a special recipe for Pokeblock."
Serena said, "Oh I remember how to make Pokeblock maybe I can make it into a Pokepuff!"
Ash said, "Yeah I bet Morpeko would love that."
Pikachu said, "Pika." (T: I certainly would.) Professor Oak then got them the recipe and Serena started to work her magic.
"Okay I think we finally got it," said Ash.
"Yeah I hope this time it actually works," said Serena.
"Pika," said Pikachu, (T: Me too.) All three were hiding as they watched Morpeko come out of a bush.
Ash jumped out and said, "Morpeko!"
Morpeko was startled and prepared to run, "Morpeko peko." (T: Oh no, not you again.) but as it ran away Pikachu jumped out and blocked it.
Serena then said, "We don't want to hurt you, we just wanted to give you this." Serena pulled out a pokepuff. Morpeko's ears perked up at that and it looked at the pokepuff like it was heaven, it dropped its guard. Morpeko had never seen a pokepuff before and this one right in front of it looked like paradise. It was fairly simple but it was a pink pokepuff coat with brown and white frosting on top with a variety of chopped-up berries on it. Morpeko couldn't resist it and rushed to eat it. It was just as delicious as it looked and it was something Morpeko had never experienced before… it was filling! It actually satisfied Morpeko's hunger and it was glad.
Morpeko said, "Morpek, pek." as it jumped for joy.
Serena asked, "I am glad you liked it. Now, will you come along with us?" Morpeko nodded its head as Serena tapped it with a Pokeball this time it stayed in with no trouble.
Ash said, "Yes you did it, Serena."
Serena said, "We all did it, it's thanks to us and our Pokemon, and Professor Oak. Bonnie will be so happy when we give this to her."
Ash said, "Yeah but you are going to have to teach her that recipe we can't have Morpeko here going hungry."
Serena said, "I doubt that will be a problem with Bonnie."
"I know, She's really great with Pokemon" Ash agreed.
Later that night the sun had fallen and the sky was illuminated by shimmering stars and a clear sky without a cloud anywhere to be seen. the couple decided to lay a blanket on the grass right beside Hotel Lonia before they book a room there for the next week or two.
"Serena?" Ash asked. He was curious as to why his girlfriend set down a blanket on the snow.
"What is it sweetie?" Serena asked in a whisper and she rested a soft hand on her boyfriends chest. Ash turned towards her and shared a brief kiss before the two looked up at the sky.
"Why did you set a blanket down when there is snow on the ground?" Ash asked confused. Serena responded with a pout and sighed. "I wanted to spend the night with you, under the stars. This town is just beautiful. So i thought i'd spend it with the cutest boy i ever met"
Ash said, "Hey i was never against the idea, spending time with you are some of the best times of my life".
"Yeah, me too" Serena said. "I'm really glad we met that day. I don't wanna think about what my life would be like if i hadn't met you. I probably would be still afraid of my own shadow" she confessed.
"—And you don't have to, do you remember when we first met?" Ash asked. Serena nodded silently. A few tears managing to escape her beautiful face. She brushed a few strands of her hair aside and smiled. "How could i not"
Flashback (9 years ago)
W-where is everybody? Where did you all go? I.. I'm scared" a young Serena said, tears were falling down her face as she looked at her injured leg.
"I knew it, i never wanted to come to this summer camp. MOMMY" she shouted into the sky. Suddenly a Polliwog jumped out of the bushes, scaring the poor girl even more. The water type looked at her before hopping off.
"Polliwog?" a voice called. Serena was in to much pain to move.
"Hey who are you—?" Ash asked before he noticed the girls leg was scraped "Whats wrong?" he asked softly.
"I-i hurt my leg" she stuttered. Ash knelt down to her level and wrapped a blue handkerchief around her leg. "Now watch this, FEEL BETTER FELL BETTER RIGHT AWAY" Ash chanted like he was casting a spell.
"Don't give up till its over K. Come on" Ash said. he knelt down with an outstretched hand, Serena tried to move but her leg was in too much pain. She felt Ash clasp her hand in hers and helped her up, he used a bit to much force because when he pulled her hand, he pulled her closer to him, within hugging distance to be exact.
Flashback end
Serena continued. "At first i joined you to see you again, i never even thought about going on a journey before. But after seeing you on the news during that Garchomp rampage event, i was so surprised when i saw your face again. i knew from then on i wanted to tag along with you. i'm glad i found a dream, I'm glad that my mom supported me, I'm glad i had such awesome friends. You've been my biggest supporter… thank you" Serena said as she finished her confession story.
Ash was speechless. Even though he was dating Serena for almost six years, he was amazed at the amount of trust, faith and love she had for him. She was the kindest soul he'd ever met.
"I think its time for bed don't you think?" Ash said. Serena nodded, the two packed up the blanket and went in to the hotel, The two reached the receptionist desk. Eager to spend the night in peace and comfort.
"Hello and welcome to our glorious Lonia hotel, how can i help you?" the receptionist asked with a soft smile.
"We'd like a room please" Serena said.
"Yes we have one room left, room four, we hope you enjoy your stay" she said with handing over the key with a knowing wink, making the two blush crimson.
The two had made it up to their room, inserting the room key the two were surprised by the rooms simplistic design but for a small town like Circhester it worked well. It mixed its history with its brick based houses and the like.
Settling in for the night, Serena opted to take a shower before bed while Ash decided to watch television before taking his, he was starting to fall asleep fast, the shows seemingly not interesting to him in the slightest.
(Ten minutes later)
"Ahhh, that was nice" Serena said, letting her wet hair droop behind her. The sudden voice woke her drowsy boyfriend making her giggle. "Sorry Ash, you can go back to sleep if you want" Serena said sweetly.
Ash said. "No its fine, thank you. I need to shower anyway, be right back" he thanked before he entered the shower. Serena meanwhile laid on the bed, she began to reflect on her relationship some more. All the good and bad memories, the old ones and new ones they'd formed over the years. Their time in Kalos, everything and the like.
'I love him so much, he's the best thing that ever happened to me' Serena thought. Unbeknownst to her she started to tear up with out realizing it. Pikachu was starting to worry about her.
"Pika? Pika pi" Pikachu asked. (T: whats wrong Serena)
"Its nothing Pikachu. I'm just reflecting on our relationship" Serena said. Pikachu smiled and nodded. Scampering up on to the bed the little mouse decided to snuggle up with her. "Would you like me to bring Morpeko out of its Pokeball?" Serena asked the yellow mouse.
A nod.
Serena grabbed its Pokeball which rested on the night stand beside the bed. "Morpheko come out" she called. The dark/Electric type was released and had a confused look on its face. "Morpe?" (T: What?) the pokemon asked, tilting its head.
"Do you want to sleep with Pikachu, Ash and i?" the performer asked. Instantly the rodent Pokemon ran up to the honey blonde girls face and began to nuzzle her cheek strongly making her laugh.
"Hahaha~ stop! It tickles— hahaha~" Serena began to laugh as the hungry Pokemon nuzzled her affectionately. Soon they heard the shower faucet turn off and the sounds of wet footsteps could be heard.
"Ash must be finished with his shower" Serena said, the two rodents nodded. Soon Ash stepped out of the shower and noticed the two Pokemon smiling widely at him.
"Hello"
"Pika"
"Morpeko"
His girlfriend and the Pokemon had big smiles on their faces. Which made him happy to see. Serena patted the free space on the right of her and waited for her boyfriend to join her. After Ash climbed in, she and the Pokemon snuggled in with the two.
"What are you so happy about?" Ash asked, he noticed his girlfriend wide smile.
"I don't know" Serena said playfully. "Maybe~ its because its our anniversary tomorrow" she answered, she booped her boyfriend playfully on the nose and giggled. Serena snuggled up to Ash's chest and gave out a cute yawn.
"Good night, my Kalos Queen"

(The next day)
The next day the sun shined brightly into the couples hotel room, along with the Pokemon, the two shared a morning kiss and got up and ready for their special day today, the two had plans to visit route eight because Serena saw a Pokemon on her rotom-phone that would be suited for her Showcases.
"Morning Serena" Ash said with a yawn.
"Morning sweetheart" Serena said sweetly. She got up and went to the kitchen to start on breakfast, she saw her boyfriend get up to go get dressed for their day, Pikachu and Morpheko woke up groggily and smiled tiredly.
"Morning Pikachu and Morpheko" Serena said softly as the two had ran out of the bedroom to the kitchen table, the two smiled and raised a paw to acknowledge the honey blonde girl, Morpheko scampered on to the table to see what Serena was making, it was the Pokepuffs the delighted two-sided pokemon ate the day they caught him, his eyes sparkled and he jumped around in joy,
"Morpeko, eko, eko, eko" he cheered happily. (T: Yay i get to have Pokepuffs again)
"Well, someone's happy" Serena joked with a giggle.
"What are we laughing about over here?' Ash asked as he came out of the bedroom over to the kitchen, he was wearing a black shirt with black skinny trousers he was also wearing a black fur coat, his girlfriend thought he looked good in the outfit but decided to focus on making breakfast for the time being.
"Something smells good, what are you making honey?" Ash asked.
"Nothing major, just some bacon, sausage and eggs" Serena said.
"Sounds good to me, hey while i eat everything how about you get dressed" Ash said.
jokingly.
"Ha ha, be right back" Serena said.
(Ten minutes later)
"Im back" Serena announced. When Ash turned around his jaw dropped. She was wearing a white tank top, red open faced jacket and black leggings, and lastly she was wearing black short heal boots. She was also wearing that iconic blue ribbon around her shirt collar.
"H-how do i look?" Serena asked embarrassed, noticing her boyfriends stare. Ash slapped himself hard in the face.
"I'm fine, you look amazing Serena" Ash said with a blush forming on his face. Serena and Ash sat next to each other as they watched television while they ate breakfast. "You've been growing your hair back to its original length" Ash noticed.
"I like it like this" Serena said with a blush, brushing a strand of hair away.
"So whats the plan for today? Any ideas?" Ash asked. Serena nodded and snuggled up with him on the couch. "I plan to catch a Snom" Serena said.
"Snom?" Ash asked confused.
"Here's what it looks like" Serena said as she handed her Rotom-Phone over to Ash.
Snom - the worm Pokemon: It spits out thread imbued with a frigid sort of energy and uses it to tie its body to branched. Disguising itself as an icicle while it sleeps.
"Its a nice Pokemon, it'll help you win showcases for sure" Ash said.
"Its habitat is around route 8, we should get going" Ash said. He looked over to see their Pokemon had finished their breakfast.
"Hey you two we're going to help Serena capture a Pokemon, wanna tag along?" Ash asked the two Pokemon
"Pika" Pikachu said. (Yeah)
"Morpeko" the two faced Pokemon said. (T: Lets do it) before jumping on top of Serena's head making her giggle.
The two humans and Pokemon exited their room and out of the hotel, and began their trek to route eight, and before long the small group made it over to the route the bug-pokemon were said to inhabit.
"Lets begin our search, Braixen help us out" Serena said. Opening the pokeball to reveal her first partner. "Braixen?" Her partner asked confused. (T: where are we?)
"We're on route eight, we're looking for a Pokemon to add to our team" Serena explained. Her partner smiled and agreed to help look.
(A few minutes later)
"I think i found one" Ash said pointing to a branch over their heads. Indeed there was one hanging above them.
"Alright Braixen lets do this"
(Serena and Braixen vs Wild Snom)
"Braixen use scratch on the threads" Serena commanded.
"Brai" Serena's partner said. (T: Right)
The Pokemon slashed at the thread sending the small bug type back down to the snowy ground below, effectively getting a response.
"SNOM SNO" Snom yelled in anger. (T: what was that for pesky human)
"Alright Braixen, use flamethrower" Serena shouted. Her partner shot flames from her branch. Only to have the flames bounce right off. "But how" Serena asked panicking.
"Look" Ash said. Serena and ash looked closely at the small bug type to see that it threw up a mirror coat at the last minute.
"DON'T GIVE UP UNTIL THE END" Ash said in confidence, his energetic smile reigniting her flames once again.
"Your right Ash. We can't lose. Braxian Fire blast now" Serena shouted. "Brai-xen" Braxien shouted. (T: Take this)
"Snom" (T: oh crap). the worm Pokemon said in fear, since there was little it could do. Needless to say it fell to the ground, knocked out,
"Alright, go Pokeball" Serena shouted, throwing a Pokeball at the fainted worm Pokemon, the ball shook a few times before that desired click was heard.
"You did it Serena" Ash shouted with excitement, picking up his girlfriend and spun her around as the couple laughed happily. "You did it Serena, your second Galar catch. Great job" Ash said.
"Thank you sweetie, but i couldn't have done it with out your encouragement pushing me during that battle" she said with pink flushing her face. Suddenly Ash's stomach sounded making Serena giggle to herself.
"I guess that means your hungry?" Serena guessed, smiling. "Pika Pi" ash's partner said. (T: It always means he's hungry)
"Yeah… sorry" Ash apologized with a blush in embarrassment.
"Well, lets head back to that restaurant and order dinner than" Serena said looking at her Rotom-Phone; the time read seven-thirty. With the two having made up their minds they soon made their way back into the town.
(Ten minutes later)
The two lovers (and Pikachu too) made their way back to the city for dinner. They decided to have some of their famous curry. "Man this stuff is delicious" Ash said eating a fork full of the stuff. "Yeah i agree" Serena said taking a bite of her own curry. But she noticed a few bites of food on her boyfriends lips and chin.
"Ash you got a little something on your face" Serena said, Ash tried to clean it himself but couldn't.
"Let me get that for you" Serena said. Serena got out that familiar handkerchief and dipped it in her water. She walked over to Ash and began cleaning his face, Ash had a mild blush on his face but Serena didn't notice. A short moment later she was finished. The two paid their bill and took their leftovers for later.
(Back at the hotel - later that same night)
The two lovers went back to their room for the night, they fed Morpeko and Pikachu when they got back and started to get ready for bed. "Morpeko, are you excited to meet your new trainer?" Serena asked the two-sided pokemon with humor.
"Morpeko" the pokemon said happily jumping g up and down happily. (T: Yay) Before nuzzling the girls cheek making her laugh.
"You'll be well taken care of, Bonnie will love you" Ash said joining into the conversation.
"We should get ready for bed, we have to send Morpeko to Bonnie tomorrow" Ash said. Serena nodded before putting Morpeko back in tis capsule for the night. Pikachu sleeping at the foot of the bed.
"Good night Serena" Ash said.
"Goodnight sweet love" Serena whispered, she gave her boyfriend a kiss on the lips before the two closed their eyes. Eager to hear Bonnies reaction.
(The next day - Pokemon center)
The two had made it to the Pokemon center and rung up the professors number, hoping that he'd pick up, sure enough he did.
"Ash, Serena. Lovely to see you again, what can i do for you?" the professor asked, curious to know why they called.
"We have something we'd like to give Bonnie, is she and her brother with you?" Serena asked.
"They are, they're playing with the Pokemon in the reserve" Sycamore said. "We have a Pokemon that we'd like to transfer over" Ash said.
"Alright then, put it in the transfer device and send it over" he said with a smile. The two did that and the transfer was complete with in a few short moments. "I got it. Thank you Ash and Serena. Bonnie will love it"
"Of course" Serena said sweetly. Before she and Ash hung up the call.
(Later that same day in Kalos)
"Bonnie, Ash and Serena have a present for you" the professor said. "Really? What is it? What is it?" Bonnie said jumping up and down.
"Open up the ball and see" he said with a smirk.
She did as instructed, and opened the capsule to reveal a Pokemon that was short and chubby in appearance, needless to say her reaction was expected.
"EEEeEEEEEK its so cute" Bonnie squeaked, opening her arms the Morpeko happy jumped into them, climbing up to her shoulder onto her head. "It also came with a note" the Professor said, handing the young girl a note.
Dear Bonnie,
We're having a great time in Galar, wish you could be here with us right now. You and Clamont would really like it here. That Pokemon we just gave you is known as a Morpeko, it has a bit of an appetite so we attached a special recipe for a Specific Pokepuff, you will need it if you want to satisfy the little ones appetite.

Back with Ash and Serena, after the two had made the call they headed back into the heart of the town and just watched the snowflakes fall, they found a bench to sit down on and just relax. They still had much to do but for them… they felt they were already home.
"I love you Ash" Serena said leaning her head on Ash's shoulder.
"I love you too, Serena, Happy anniversary" Ash whispered. Serena smiled warmly and fell asleep as the snowflakes fell from above, the two were surely never going to forget this day, ever. Not like the'd planned to.
