- This is my first fic, and it's pretty much a rewrite of the infamous movie 'Identity Thief'. All characters are owned by A and E, and the movie is basically a usage of the characters in that setting! I hope you enjoy! I'll be writing the chapters as they go, I will also make some plots along the way that are different from the film! I'd love to hear any improvements:) That's all, Happy Reading!
Chapter One
It was a casual Monday morning, as an exhausted brunette hears the god awful ringing coming from her handbag. Leaning over, she takes the pleasure of seeing that an 'unknown caller' had dared to call such a busy woman at this hour - just before her lunch break. Accepting the call, and holding the device up to her ear.
"Hello? This is Regina Mills speaking."The brunette answers, pursing her lips in frustration.
"Yes, Regina Mills. I'm Suzanne from the Fraud Protection Department." The mystery woman says from the other end of the line.
"Okay, is there a problem?" Regina prompts, hoping for the woman to continue.
"Yes, ma'am. We're calling today because unfortunately, it appears that someone has attempted to steal your identity." The young woman proceeds.
Ultimately causing the brunettes heart to drop suddenly. It was normal to receive calls like such, when working for such a big firm. Adjusting her form in her chair, she places her phone on the desk in front of her and puts the caller on speaker, as she swiftly packs her things into her bag.
"Is this some sort of joke?" She snaps, to the woman on the line.
"Gosh, I wish it were. We did catch this in time however. But I do suggest you taking advantage of our free total protection plan, which protects yourcard against any scheming thieves. Is that okay with you, ma'am?" The woman on the other line seemed young, by the tone of her voice. Regina hesitated before she contemplated the possible risks of not taking action.
Her son Henry was a priority, not taking an offer to secure their money was a risk for them both. That was the last thing Regina needed at that moment in time. She finally gave in.
"Yes, please. If it's free, of course?" She replied with a slight hint of hope in her voice. On the edge of her seat
"Yes, of course ma'am. I went for the same plan myself." The woman on the line added, causing the brunette to feel a sense of relief in her body. Surely there was nothing to worry about. Her money was now guaranteed to be safe.
"Miss Mills, I'm gonna need you to verify the information we have down for you.So I'll need your full name, date of birth, and your social security number, please."
In the mall, located in Boston, there was a blonde woman seated at a table of a nearby restaurant. On the phone. She sat with a single notebook and pen, with her fingers crossed. However, there was still a trace of a smirk plastered on her face.
"Yes, of course. Here it is.." Regina replied. The mysterious blonde fist bumped herself, as she wrote down any information given by the high end employee by the name of R.Mills.

In a Small apartment.
Having just got out of the shower, the sound of a buzz echoed through the walls. Meaning only one thing.
The blonde emerged from the bathroom, in a towel, drying her hair. She pressing the button on a machine and out pops a credit card. Only to be embedded with the name:
Ms Regina B Mills
And just underneath, there lies the security number in silver. Kissing the card, she held it to her heart.
"Thank you, Mills" smirking, she placed the card back down, and headed into her bedroom.

Bar in Boston
Chatter filled the bar, along with music and boos. Lots of boos. It was definitely expensive that's for sure.
Pulling down the collar of her red leather jacket, she adjusted her eyes to the glowing lights and chandeliers on the ceiling. Perhaps a red leather jacket and jeans, wasn't the greatest way to fit in with this place.
Walking up to the bar, she meets a man by the name of Graham, by the looks of his name tag pinned to his black buttoned shirt.
"What can I get for you?" He asked politely, his gaze locked on hers.
"I'll have a melon ball.." she glanced over to a man who was extremely hot. He had black styled hair, with a stubble.. And a black leather jacket. Who would've thought?
"And uh.. And some tequila. Start me a tab." She winked at the bartender, who's cheeks glowed a lovely shade of pink. He was knocked from his dream, as she held up her card to his face.
"Will do, ma'am." He smiled, taking the card and swiping it through.
The blonde nervously made her way towards the man she had her eye on. He wasn't alone, so this made her more nervous than she should've been.
"Hi there.." she began, sitting on the stool directly next to the dream man.
He turned to look at the beautiful blonde, and instantly smiled at the sight of her. Resting his elbow on the bar side.
"Hello, love. You're all here by yourself, it seems." His voice filled her ears. Definitely not American. Keeping notes, she smiled internally.
"Yes well, it's a shame I have no one to share these shots with.." Pouting, she had a small glint of playfulness in her eyes. Smirking back at her, he replied.
"Well, I'd be happy to oblige." Smiling, with his pearly whites, she dragged two shots over to him.
"Killian. Killian Jones." The man introduced himself.
"I'm e- Regina." She stuttered. Still keeping the same smirk plastered on her face. He almost caught the slip up, which wouldn't be great at this moment in time.
"Cheers." She blurted out, with the drink clinking against his. Both of them throw back a shot. This was definitely going to be a long night.
