Chapter One: Who's Idea?

"Jagged!" Penny said, rushing in.

"What's wrong, Penny?" Jagged said, slowing Penny down.

"Someone just announced that you would have a niece or daughter with you for the next couple concerts!" Penny said.

"This must be Bob's idea of a cruel joke," Jagged said. "I don't have a niece, let alone a daughter."

"Jagged, you have to! It's made everyone hyped, and all your social media has blown up! We can't not do it! Jagged, is there anyone you know who would be a temporary niece?" Penny asked.

"I know the perfect girl!" Jagged said. "Marinette! She's really rock-and-roll, I'm sure she will!"

"Well, then, go ask her!" Penny said, pushing him out the door. "NOW!"

"I'm going, Penny, no need to rush," Jagged responded.

"It is a big rush! What if she says no? What if she's not home? You might have to find another girl! Go go go!" Penny said. Jagged started running, and that clearly satisfied Penny.

"Marinette! You have a visitor!" Sabine called up to Marinette.

"Coming!" Marinette shouted. Seeing her who her visitor was surprised her. "Jagged? What are you doing here?"

"I came to ask you a couple questions," Jagged said.

"No problem, what?" Marinette asked.

"So, you are the most rock-and-roll girl I know and I was wondering if you could please act as my niece? Just this month?" Jagged asked. Marinette stared at him. Jagged got on his knees. "Please, Marinette! My job depends on it and I'll do whatever you want me to do! Ple-"

"Yes," Marinette said.

"Wait- what?" Jagged looked at the girl with curious eyes.

"Yes. Of course. But, with one thing I want you to do," Marinette said.

"Anything!"

"One sec…" Marinette pulled out her phone and videoed him. "Jagged, have you ever written a song for a girl named Lila Rossi?"

"Who?" Jagged asked, truly confused.

"Lila Rossi, she said you wrote a song for her, am I right?" Marinette asked.

"No. I've only written a song for Ladybug," Jagged said. "No one else."

Marinette shut off her phone. "Thank you, that was all I needed. Two down, one more to go."

"What was that for?" Jagged asked.

"Convincing my class that Lila Rossi is a phony liar," Marinette said, truthfully. "Maman! Papa! You guys okay with me being Jagged's temporary niece?"

"That's fine by us," Sabine replied, poking her head out of the kitchen. "If that's gonna happen though, you guys should do some team building, like go do some stuff together that a niece and uncle would do together."

"Great idea, Maman," Marinette said. "Come on, Jagged, time for some team building."
