Thought I'd try something ridiculous for April Fool's Day, deconstruct some of the parts of salt fics I've seen. Before everyone blows up at me, this is all in good fun and I really respect the people who put in time and effort to bring those stories to life.

This is also a loving parody of ScreenRant Pitch Meetings. I found the WandaVision one, loved it, and was inspired. For anyone who's seen one of these, you know how the facial expressions are.

So, without further ado, let's go! (P.S: this is my first time trying a script-based sorta thing, sort like practice for a Creative Writing class assignment, so please give feedback, that would really be appreciated!)

From Salt To Redemption

An AgentNoOne Production

Characters:

Producer (P) : Tall, wearing a blue suit, no glasses, dark blue eyes, brownish-blonde hair.

AgentNoOne (ANO): Tall, humanoid, golden-scaled dragon in a black suit, holding script in hand, crown of horns sticking off back of head, luminous orange eyes, sounds like the Persian messenger from 300.

Scene: Pitching Room

P: So, you have a new script for me?

ANO: Yes, I do, sir.

P (Surprised): Oh my god! You're not my regular guy!

ANO: You're right, sir. He had to call in sick, so I thought I'd come and show you my stuff. Oh, and it's a fanfiction.

P: Wow, wow, wow... wow.

ANO: Exactly, sir. Not just any fanfiction, a Miraculous Ladybug fanfiction!

P: You mean that kid's show?

ANO: ...You have five seconds to apologize before I kick you into an open pit.

P (meekly): I'm sorry.

ANO: Good! So, we open on the main character of the show and story, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, who is also a superhero named Ladybug.

P: Hey, that's the name of the show!

ANO: Indeed it is. And there's also usually this other superhero who's supposed to be her equal, called Cat Noir.

P: Isn't that French for Black Cat? Why not call him or her Black Cat?

ANO: Marvel would sue our tails off.

P: Makes sense.

ANO: Yeah, Cat Noir is also Adrien Agreste, who happens to be Marinette's crush!

P: Ooh, spicy. That'll throw in some drama.

ANO: Except neither knows the other's secret identity. And to make matters more complicated, Cat Noir is in love with Ladybug.

P: Ooh, two person love square!

ANO: But that's not about that.

P (Disappointed): Oh.

ANO: Yeah, the main conflict involves Marinette and this liar girl, who is essentially a rival for Adrien's affections.

P: Wait, a rival?

ANO: Yeah, there's also this really hot fencer girl named Kagami who's Adrien's other love interest, and Chloe, the resident brat that the fanbase somehow loves.

P: So, this liar girl's name, what is it?

ANO: Lila.

P: Mm, naming characters after what they do is tight!

ANO: Exactly, sir. So we start with Marinette in her room, upset because all her friends are fawning over Lila and turned against her.

P: Seriously? That's a bit of a stretch, it must be difficult for Lila to convince them.

ANO: Actually, it's super easy, barely an inconvenience.

P: Oh really?

ANO: Yes, we're just going to lower all of Marinette's friends, teachers, everybody's IQ to extremely suggestible and mindlessly loyal.

P: Poor Marinette! Her friends are terrible.

ANO: Well, being a superhero, she's forced to lie and flake on them to go save Paris.

P: Then they're ingrates.

ANO: No, she just didn't tell her friends her secret identity, as you do.

P: As you do. So, what happens next?

ANO: As Marinette's being upset, her magical fairy companion that turns her into a superhero, Tikki, is trying to get her to calm down.

P (Confused): Why? Shouldn't she be able to vent?

ANO: She should, but there's this big bad supervillain named Hawk Moth who can turn people into supervillains if they feel negative emotions.

P: Who's Hawk Moth? What's his secret?

ANO: He's actually Adrien's father, Gabriel Agreste.

P: Oh my god, do either of them know?

ANO: No.

P: Oh.

ANO: Although Gabriel's assistant does, and she wants to sleep with him.

P (Surprised and confused): What?

ANO: But that's not important. Hawk Moth feels her despair, is all like "Ah, yes, fly my evil akuma, rah," and then the akuma flies over to Marinette's house.

P: Wait, she's Ladybug, right? What would happen? Would he learn her secret identity?

ANO: Yes, she is, but Tikki notices the akuma and takes Marinette's Miraculous, her transformation trinket, and flies away to keep Hawk Moth from getting them.

P: So Hawk Moth wants the Miraculous?

ANO: Yes, but that's not important now. So the akuma gets in her purse, and Hawk Moth calls her Princess Justice and tells her she can get revenge on the traitors by any means necessary, and get him the Miraculous in return.

P: But she's a superhero, so she won't fall victim to the corruption... right?

ANO: Well, the horrible things she could do to Lila give her a reason, so she turns evil and agrees, then turns into a Lady Justice-esque supervillain.

P: I can forgive that. I have horrible things I want to do to the other guy.

ANO: I don't know if I should be terrified or pleased.

P: Continue.

ANO: Alright. So we transition to the school. Adrien is feeling terrible because he and Kagami had a falling out.

P: Wait, they're together?

ANO: Were. She was mad because Lila had ruined Marinette and Adrien didn't do anything to stop it.

P: That's a terrible reason to break up.

ANO: You've never been in a relationship before, what would you know?

P: That hurt my feelings.

ANO: It was supposed to.

P: Continue, Agent.

ANO: Very well. So right when the teacher is calling role, Princess Justice bursts in. Everyone is either shocked, mad or plain confused at Marinette, with her former best friend Alya calling her out.

P: Alya sided with Lila, despite being best friends with Marinette?

ANO: That'll be explained later.

P: Okay.

ANO: Princess Justice ignores them and uses her power to force Lila to admit the truth.

P: How?

ANO: Well, it's like these pink wiggly-woos that come out of her hands.

P: Okay, sorta like Wanda, I guess.

ANO: To PJ's surprise, everyone doesn't believe it, so she blasts Alya next.

P: As you do.

ANO: It doesn't work like PJ expected.

P: Oh really?

ANO: Yeah, Alya faceplants on her desk, then gets up and is all groggy, asking what happened.

P: She just got blasted by a supervillain!

ANO: It gets better. Alya acts like Lila is still the new girl, even though she's been there for a few months.

P: This is very confusing! It's just like that Marvel show we pitched a few weeks ago.

ANO: I binged it in one night. So, basically, PJ repeats her wiggly-woo powers on everybody else, and the reaction is the same, except for Adrien and the teacher.

P: Why's that?

ANO: I was just about to explain! It turns out Lila brainwashed everybody while Marinette and Adrien were out hero-ing into believing her.

P: She's evil!

ANO: Exactly. And everyone is confused and terrified that the one person who seemed like she couldn't be akumatized, is akumatized.

P: What about Adrien and the teacher?

ANO: Adrien says he didn't want anything to happen because he knew what Lila did when she was last akumatized and didn't want to inadvertently hurt anyone.

P: A noble goal, but a misguided way of doing it.

ANO: He's a teenager. Teenagers make bad choices.

P: I wouldn't know, I never was a teenager.

ANO: I am a teenager. Dragons age slower than humans.

P: And the teacher?

ANO: Oh, yeah, she's ex-military.

P (Surprised and confused): What?

ANO: Yeah, she served in the military until health complications got her discharged. While she was in there, she saw what conflict did to people and was afraid she would lose herself, so she swore an oath of extreme pacifism, not involving herself in any conflicts and trying to promote love and friendship in her class.

P: And she's hot, right?

ANO (Confused and disturbed): That's not exactly important.

P: Okay.

ANO: But she's had it with what Lila did to her and all of them, so Lila ran off. Before PJ could find her, Adrien apologized for everything he did and didn't do to help Marinette.

P: So all's forgiven? What about the akuma?

ANO: Marinette breaks out of Hawk Moth's control and releases her own akuma, trapping it before it can spread. Adrien excuses himself to turn into Cat Noir, and a moment later, he comes in and destroys the akuma.

P: He killed the butterfly?

ANO: Yes, he did.

P (Sad): I liked that butterfly.

ANO: You're insane, sir.

P: I know I am. So what happened to Lila?

ANO: Oh, she got what she deserved.

P: And what's that?

ANO: Here's the fun part. I'm gonna let the reader decide what it means because my original idea was too dark and sadistic, even for me. Also there were some negative connotations, and since everyone's a delicate little flower nowadays, I can't write it with starting a flame war.

P (Checking phone): That is annoying.

ANO: That is annoying, just like when people check their phones while being pitched a story.

P: Oh, sorry, I was looking at your other works. What about the Darks?

ANO: Who?

P: You know, the characters in your main storyline, Dragonus, Alphaux, etc. What are they doing?

ANO: Oh, they're not canon and not part of the show or this fanfiction.

P: Oh, okay. I wouldn't know because I never watched the show.

ANO: You definitely should, it's actually really good.

P: You don't say! So, Dragonus and the others, what are they doing?

ANO: They're not in the story...

P (Demonic voice): WHAT ARE THEY DOING?

ANO (Blinks in surprise): Well, I guess they'd be in a different class and doing different lessons, unaware of the whole thing. And, sir, only I get to do the demonic voice.

P: I'm sorry.

ANO: You should be.

P: What can I do to make it up to you?

ANO: You can either download Raid: Shadow Legends...

P: Ew, no.

ANO: ... or read my fanfiction series with Dragonus.

P: That is something I will do.

ANO: Well, good.

P: So, changing the subject, I was under the assumption this was a salt fic.

ANO: Well, it was, but after sleeping on it for a few days, I decided a redemption fic was a better idea.

P: Okay, then, but this was supposed to be a salt fic.

ANO: I'm the creator of this story, I will write it how I want, and I will ship who I want, puny human.

P (meekly): Okay, I understand, please don't hurt me.

ANO: Good. So when can we publish it?

P: Well, since it's a redemption fic that was supposed to be a salt fic, why not April Fool's Day for publishing?

ANO: Why not? It's all in good fun, anyhow.

Haha this was fun. Yeah, my original intention was to make fun of salt fic tropes, but just like fiction-me, I decided a pretend redemption fic was more fun and wholesome. April Fools!

After this, y'all can look forward to the fourth chapter of my current Miraculous story, my first ever Avatar: The Last Airbender story, and maybe the next story in the Miraculous line, all hopefully within April. I might be a bit behind on the last one, considering SOL prep and actually taking the SOLs in May/June, not entirely sure of that yet, so it may be a while.

P.S: This was kinda full of my theories for how everything in the show works... (I mean, hey, I put a Lukanette movie scene in Dragons Rise in July, and we got a Lukanette at the movies spoiler a while back. I guessed it without even realizing it, so I might be onto something)
