Well, alright. Before my neighborhood was a neighborhood, it was a few different things. Like a farm, and one of the first things it was, was a train station. I know this for a fact, because my friend's parent's house was the loading deck. If you look in her house, you can tell. It looks just like a historic train station, and some of the rooms have a few old benches still in the floor, and things like that. It's real neat! If you go into her back yard, there is a bit of the train tracks still in the grounds with railroad spikes and everything! But apart from that, I'll get back to the story.

These parts were mostly railroad ways. It was an old railroad area, for civil war soldiers. It was a train station for Union solders that were headed down south to fight. Much of the railroads are torn out, or lost under the pavement. There are a few railroads left, but they are used for modern freight trains around here. She still has some railroad, but I don't have much, except I did find a few things like a civil war uniform button in the back of my yard under the ground, and neat things in the attic.

My house was used as an small little inn, for soldiers, to rest for the night. Then in the morning, they would go with their battalion off for war. Anyways, I was sleeping out on the couch one night in the living room. (Which is the room I'm in right now at this very moment. I was unable to sleep because I heard voices. I got up and went towards the front door, to see what was going on. It was when I was sixteen, so I didn't really know who on Earth it could have been. I figured it was either my dad headed off for work (he gets up really early, or an intruder.

You would not BELIEVE what I saw! I saw a man in a blue union civil war uniform, He was no older than twenty five. His face was clean shaven, he was considerably young, and handsome. Brown hair, skinny physique, taller than me, but not exactly a giant. He was sort of crouched, like he was trying to get out of the house without waking people up. So while I'm watching him tiptoe, I see him reach for the door knob. I thought if he is some crazy character, that is making off with some valuables, then there might be some trouble.

I walked up closer to him, and said "Who are you." in a calm collected way. I didn't want to scare him, but trying to not scare him didn't work. When he turned around he looked at me as if I was the ghost. Just looking at his face I could tell he was far more afraid of me, than I was of him. All I can remember were those frightened shaking eyes. They were terrified. And as he stared at me scared out of his mind, he just sort of disappeared! He didn't just poof away instantly. He just faded away into nothingness slowly.
