Ruby looked up from her position, she was currently in JNPR's dorm room, chilling with her fellow leader. The rest of their teams had gone to Vale for the day and that gave her some alone time with her, not so secret crush. She was laying on his bed reading a comic while he played games on his scroll. To an outsider it would seem like they were being anti-social, but she just enjoyed being in his company.
"Hey, Jaune." Ruby broke the silence, sitting up and staring into his deep, blue eyes.
"Yeah, what's up Rubes?" He put his scroll down and chose to meet her gaze.
"Can you... close your eyes for me?" She asked innocently, a light blush crept onto her cheeks.
Jaune looked sceptical "Sure..." He accepted the request and closed his eyes. He could hear a quick shuffling noise and felt his face get hot for some reason. "Ruby?" He asked eyes still closed.
"Shhhh!" She shushed him, she gently placed her arms around his shoulders and gently placed her lips onto his. It was a quick, chaste kiss, but it held weight.
Once they broke apart Jaune's eyes shot open, face crimson. He was met with an equally as red Ruby who was smiling sheepishly.
"Umm..." Ruby tried to think of an excuse "April fools?" She said, sounding more like a question.
Jaune nodded "Can you close your eyes for me?"
"Jaune!" Ruby cried in surprise, face matching her cloak.
"Please?"
"...Fine..." The silver eyed girl did as instructed and felt his lips on hers once again. This kiss lasted much longer than the last and she could feel herself melt against him as they both fell back on the bed. She was currently on top of the blonde, tongues wrestling for dominance over the other. One of her hands was around his neck while the other was entwined with one of his.
Eventually they broke apart for air and were both breathing heavily, the blushes on their faces had disappeared and were replaced by happy grins.
"What the hell!?" Yang erupted.
Their heads turned in horror as the rest of their teams were stood in the doorway of the room.
"What are you doing to my little sister?" Yang scowled threateningly at the fellow blonde.
Ruby and Jaune looked at each other before turning back to the onlookers.
"April fools?" They both said, unsure of themselves.
