The first time Violet text him asking for advice, Huey didn't pay it much attention. He really liked the purple hummingbird and was happy to help her adjust to having Lena as her new sister.
Violet If someone tells you they'll destroy anyone who tries to hurt you is that sarcasm, or are they being serious?
Huey If Webby said it, then it's probably true. If it was Lena... it would depend on the situation.
Violet We were watching a television show where one character was involved in a hit-and-run situation. Her brother then went on to hunt down the driver to get justice. Lena mentioned it then.
Huey :) I think she meant it. It's a sibling thing and a friend thing. I'm sure she'd say the same for anyone trying to hurt Webby.
Violet Should I be concerned by the level of violent intent?
Huey As long as it's not directed at you, no.
Lena's sarcasm didn't always go over Violet's head. She learnt to understand when Lena was being sarcastic most of the time, but sometimes she still checked with Huey because he had known Lena for longer and had his own siblings who used sarcasm.
