Snowflakes in Hell

"Watch it Mudblood" Draco sneered as he intentionally pushed past her in the corridor sending her books flying to the floor and her tripping over her own feet. She fell to her knees and gasped, trying to gather her parchment and books before the wind took them. Harry and Ron, who were walking alongside her stopped to help her pick up her papers that had shrewd all over the floor.

"So clumsy" she heard Draco mutter to his friends as he walked away with his snakes laughing, looking over their shoulder, snarling and making more comments but Hermione wasn't listening now. More focussed on re-organising her notes back into their order. Getting up and beginning to walk again Ron turned to Hermione;

"You know" Ron started as they rounded the corner, "They say that boys bully the girls they fancy" he finished, laughing. Causing Harry and Hermione to join in and laugh at the absurdity of his suggestion

"It will be a cold day in Hell before I believe that!" Hermione chuckled.

Hermione fired spells left, right and centre. Alone against 6 death eaters. The Battle of Hogwarts had been a bust. Voldemort had perished, however the death eaters' numbers well outweighed the Order. By about 20 to one.

It didn't take long before someone stepped up and continued the fight, and that one happened to be Draco Malfoy. Who, in the silence created by Harry defeating Voldemort drew the attention of thousands of fighters, as he pulled out his wand and in one fatal swipe, struck Harry down.

Ginny shrieked, and the fight continued. The order disbanded and fled. Everyday reports were coming in every day of order members who had been killed, taken prisoner or who had gone missing. Hermione had found Ron initially after Harry's murder, but after a few months of hiding the camp they had been hiding out of was ambushed. In the flurry of fire, smoke, screams and blood Hermione disapparted. Alone. She returned a few days later to see the bloodshed that remained. So many dead bodies. As much as it pained her to see her friends, teachers and alliances dead, she was relieved to see that Ron was not one of them. She chose to believe that he had escaped, rather than being taken prisoner. The thought of him being tortured day in day out was too much for her to cope with. She hadn't seen Ron since.

Hermione had taken out 4 of the death eaters. After Harry had gone it was only a matter of time before they all perished so they gave up on not using the unforgivable curses. In a world where the Dark side had won, they weren't going to get easier sentences from being good. It was a game of survival. Nothing more. Sleep with one eye open. Don't trust anyone. Even your closest friends. They learned that the hard way when some of Draco's goonies had taken hairs from the alive prisoners, Polyjuiced themselves and apparated to a Light Side safe house, outside claiming to have escaped from. the death eaters. Brought into camp, trusted, treated. Then once inside, they took them all out. 200 Light side fighters, killed in a single attack. There was no trust left after that.

She had tried ducking, hiding, avoiding curses, but ended up skidding on the ice. It was freezing. The middle of winter. She had no idea what the date was. She didn't really care. She just had to survive. Snow began to fall, adding to the hell. The cold was making her feel weak. She managed to take out another death eater. She was up against 6. Fighting for her life only one remained.

That was when he stepped forward. She tried to step back but slipped. He caught her.

He pressed his lips to hers and kissed her with passion she hadn't felt in years. Caught up in the moment. The emotion. Dare she say, the familiarity? She breathed in his scent. She recognised it from somewhere but she couldn't figure out where from. He pulled back, dropped his hood and removed his mask. His platinum blonde hair stood out to her.

"Granger. It's been an age" greeted Draco Malfoy. She stepped back, only just realising what had happened.

She was right. It would be a cold day in hell before Draco Malfoy would like her.

"Go..." He whispered to her. Pointing towards the trees. She started at him for a moment, before she ran. He would either kill her when her back was turned, or another time. She ran. She got behind the trees, and dared a glance back over her shoulder. He was gone, and the bodies remained. Her heart was racing. Her brain was thinking. What was that?

I am debating if i turn this into a multi-fit. Let me know what you think
