Chapter 1
Hermione sat in the Gryffindor common room reading a book when she heard laughing. "You are with Lavender Brown? Nice one mate!" Harry says to Ron Weasley. "I know...I asked her out when we went to Hogsmeade a month ago." Ron says as they reach the common room to find Hermione.
"Hi Harry...Ron." Hermione says closing her book and she left the common room in a rush. When leaving the common room, she bumped into someone and she fell and she hurt her wrist badly. "Oh ow!" She cried. "Oh fuck." Draco Malfoy muttered.
He helped her up. Hermione looked at Draco with apprehension. "Hey Granger...I'm not gonna do anything to you...I'm the one who made you fall…and you hurt your wrist...so let's get you to Madame Pomfrey." Draco says and he led her to the hospital wing. When they got to the hospital wing, Hermione sat on a bed. " ? What happened?" Madame Pomfrey asks while eyeing Draco as well. "I accidentally bumped into Draco and fell and hurt my wrist." She explained softly.
"Very well. I will fix your wrist and take it easy alright? Perhaps have help you with your things when on your way to class and I will write a note for each class okay?" Madame Pomfrey says. Hermione nods. Madame Pomfrey fixed her wrist and they both leave the hospital wing. "Hey Granger? What class do you have next?" Draco asks. "I have Astronomy next...you?" Hermione asks. "Same." Draco says. "Really? Didn't know you studied Astronomy." She says.
"Just filling in a class for our 4th year." Draco says. "Oh." She says. "Hey Granger? I'm sorry about your wrist." Draco says. "It's fine Draco." Hermione says. They head to Astronomy class. When Astronomy class ended,Hermione tried to gather her things but was stopped by Draco. "I don't think so Granger...you heard what Madame Pomfrey said...I have to help you." Draco says as he grabbed her bag.
"Hey Draco? I have a question." She murmured softly. "Go for it Granger." Draco says. "What if people stare at us?" She asks quietly. "Let them...we can be civil right? And who cares what Potter & Weasley say." Draco says "You really wouldn't care?" She asks. "No..I don't care." Draco says as they head to the Great Hall to study. Before they headed to the Great Hall, they headed to the Gryffindor tower.
"Wait here?" She asks. "Why don't I wait near the hall? It's not you Granger...it's just weird." Draco says honestly. Hermione nodded & she went to her dorm quickly. When she came back,found Draco and they headed to the Great Hall.
When they arrived at the Great Hall, everyone stopped what they were doing & stared at them. "Sit with me." Draco says. She nodded and they headed to the Slytherin table. Before they reached the Slytherin table,they received glares and ugly looks from the Gryffindor table. "Ignore them." Draco whispered to her. They reached the Slytherin table.
"Hey mate!" Theodore Nott says as he and Hermione sat down. "Hey Theo." Draco says. Soon Pansy and Blaise came to the table. When they came to the table, Daphne and Astoria Green-grass also arrived at the table. "Hi Hermione." Astoria says softly. "Hi Tori." Hermione says quietly. "Wait...you guys know each other?" Theo asks. "Yes...Hermione's our cousin." Daphne says. "C-cousin?" Harry says over hearing the group talk. 'Oh no.' Hermione thought. "Your their cousin?" Harry asks once again. "Yes." Hermione says quietly.
"But your a mud-blood." Lavender Brown says smugly. "Watch the way you talk to her!" Draco growled. "Enough!" Dumbledore bellows. The Great Hall grew silent. "No one is to question 's blood status!" Professor Dumbledore says. After Professor Dumbledore made that announcement, Hermione knew she was probably not welcome back to the Gryffindor table. "Um...I'll be back." Hermione says quietly. Draco shot her a look.
"I'll be okay." She says & she headed to the girls lavatory. "Come on Daph!" Astoria says and they followed her to the lavatory where Hermione was going. "Oh look Parvati! It's the mud-blood!" Lavender giggles. Parvati gave her an apologetic look. "What are you doing here mud-blood? Nobody in Gryffindor wants you as their friend. Harry and Ron don't even want anything to do with you! You are a disgrace to the Gryffindor name!" Lavender says as she grabbed her wand and pointed it at Hermione.
The wand touched the tip of Hermione's throat. Hermione let out a strangled cry and a whimper. Soon they heard footsteps and then Lavender and Parvati vanished. Hermione sank to the ground while crying and whimpering.
Why was this happening to her?
"Hermione?" Astoria called out. When both girls walked into the lavatory,Daphne gasped at the sight of her cousin.
When Astoria and Daphne found Hermione in the girls lavatory, they were in shock at what they saw. Hermione was having a panic attack. She was whimpering and hyperventilating. "Hermione? Who did this to you?" Daphne asks. She couldn't tell them it was Lavender, it would make Gryffindor hate her even more. "Breathe Hermione...now tell us please." Astoria says softly. "L-lavender." She chokes out. "Fuck...okay here's what we're gonna do...Daph, you send a patronus to Draco,Professors McGonagall,Dumbledore and Snape." Astoria says quickly. Hermione's breathing quickened at the mention of Professor Snape.
"Hey...calm down...we're only telling Professor Snape cause we are not letting you go back to being a Gryffindor after the way they are treating you." Astoria says as Daphne casted a patronus. Not even ten minutes later, Draco and three Professors came into the lavatory where the girls were. "Girls? What is going on?" Professor McGonagall asks. Hermione tried to speak but her voice was caught in her throat. "Breathe Hermione...Daphne? Astoria? Please explain." Professor Dumbledore says quietly.
"We had walked in just as she was beginning to have a panic attack. She told us that Lavender Brown accosted her not even 30 minutes ago!" Daphne says letting her anger get the best of her. "Silence!" Professor Snape says. Daphne became quiet. "What shall we do Albus?" Professor McGonagall asks. "Talk to Lavender Brown,Minerva." Professor Dumbledore says. Professor McGonagall nodded. "Meet us in Professor Dumbledore's office." Professor Snape says. The three Professors left in search of Lavender Brown.
Hermione struggled to breathe properly,so she let out a strangled whimper. Draco,Astoria, and Daphne's attention shifted to her. "Hey...hey...Breathe...It's okay..I'm right here." Draco soothed softly. "I-." She whimpers. "Tori? Daph? Head down to Dumbledore's office...we'll be there soon." Draco says. The girls nod and they head down to Professor Dumbledore's office.
"Hey Granger...breathe. I'm right here." Draco soothes softly while running his hand over his shoulder. Her breathing slowly returned to normal. "Good girl. Hey? Can you tell me what Lavender told you? You don't have to if you don't want to." Draco says while brushing her a curl behind her ear. She nodded. Hermione explained what Lavender had told her. Draco fumed slightly. "L-let's just go to Dumbledore's office." Hermione whispered quietly. Draco nodded & they headed to Professor Dumbledore's office. When they arrived at Professor Dumbledore's office,Draco uttered the password and they both walked in.
"How are you doing Dear?" Professor McGonagall asks Hermione. "B-better." Hermione mutters. Draco squeezed her hand lightly. "Now Lavender, ? Why did you feel the need to acost in the girls lavatory?" Professor McGonagall asks. "Because she is a mud-blood & that nobody wants to hang out with her." Lavender says. "That's not all." Hermione says. Lavender shot her a dirty look. "What else is there, Hermione?" Professor McGonagall asks "Lavender pulled her wand out and p-pointed it at me & it touched the tip of my t-throat like she was going to cast a spell." She cries while struggling to breathe properly.
"Shh..I've got you." Draco soothed her. Snape's eyes widen at their interaction. "Lavender, that is not acceptable! 2 months detention! And your parents will be getting a letter!" Professor McGonagall reprimands Lavender.
"That is unfair!" Lavender whines. "It is totally fair...now head to Hagrid's hut for the start of your detention." Professor Dumbledore says and Lavender left quickly. "Uncle Sev? Tori and Daphne have something they want to ask you." Draco says. "Go ahead girls." Snape says. "We were wondering if Hermione could switch houses." Daphne says.
"Girls...that might not be possible." Professor McGonagall says. "P-please Professor." Hermione whimpers. "Well..I guess one more student to a new house won't hurt." Professor Dumbledore says. "And which house might that be?" Professor Snape asks. "Slytherin?" The sister's ask. The three Professor's eyes widened. "Are you positive about Slytherin? I'm trying to factor your blood status here." Professor McGonagall says.
"I'm very positive about being in Slytherin...as for my blood status...I'm a pureblood.. I'm 'related' to Astoria and Daphne."
"My parents are muggles...but I was adopted by them...my real parents are Theodore Nott Sr and Lily Carter Nott. I have a twin...his name is…" Hermione tried finishing her sentence but Draco finished it for her. "Theo?" Draco asks. Hermione nods. "Really?" Professor McGonagall asks. Hermione nodded. "Very well..Severus? Is this alright with you?" Professor Dumbledore asks. Professor Snape nodded. They dismissed the kids. "Wow…Mione? Why didn't you tell us?" Astoria asks. "It never came up." Hermione says as they headed to get her stuff from the Gryffindor common room.
"You sure your okay?" Draco asks as they reach the Gryffindor tower. "Yes...let's go get my stuff." Hermione says. They entered the Gryffindor common room. Everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at them. "What are you doing here Malfoy?" Ron growled. Hermione gripped the back of Draco's jumper. "I came with Hermione to get her things." Draco stated. "Your leaving?" Ginny asks. "Not necessarily...I got resorted." She muttered. "What?" Harry asks. "I got resorted." Hermione repeated herself again. "To what?" Ron asked, glaring at Draco. "Slytherin." Hermione whispered quietly. "SLYTHERIN?!" Ron roared. Hermione nodded. "Mudblood." A Gryffindor muttered.
Harry & Draco glared at all the Gryffindor's. "Why don't you go get your stuff? Have a house elf take it to the Slytherin dormitory. I want to talk to Harry okay?" Draco whispered in her ear. Hermione nodded. She went to her current dorm to pack her things. Harry and Draco went to Harry's dorm much to Ron's dismay. "Nice room." Draco commented quietly. "Thanks but why did you want to talk to me?" Harry asks.
"Granger's like your little sister right?" Draco asks. "Yes." Harry says, eyeing him suspiciously. "Look...she got resorted cause of the relentless name calling & Lavender caused her to have a panic attack...a big one. Not even 2 hours ago. Plus there are things she'll need to explain to you if you'll let her." Draco says "Yeah of course." Harry says and they headed back to the Gryffindor common room. When they arrived in the common room, they saw Hermione and Ginny talking.
"I heard what Lavender did Mione...my brother is really daft for going out with a twat like her." Ginny huffed. Harry stifled a laugh as did Draco. "It's fine Gin." Hermione says. They continued to talk. "Hey..you want to head to the dorms so we can set up your room?" Draco whispered into her ear. Hermione nodded. "See you guys at breakfast?" She asks Harry and Ginny. "Yeah! Maybe Fred and George can sit with us if it's cool with you?" Ginny asks. Draco and Hermione nodded and they headed to the Slytherin common room.
Once arriving at the Slytherin common room, the girls took Hermione by her hand & to the dormitory. That meant Draco,Theo,Blaise,Graham Montague, and Marcus Flint were left in the common room. "That didn't take long..so Malfoy…tell me how did Granger end up in Slytherin?" Blaise asks. "Not my story to tell." Draco says as the group of girls came back. "So Granger? How did you get resorted?" Blaise asks her.
"I'm actually a pureblood…" She says quietly. "No way." Graham says as Hermione nodded. "Hey guys? Can I speak to Theo alone?" Hermione asked the group. The group nodded & left. "What's up G?" Theo asks. She looked at her twin who looked at her curiously. "Theo…your um my twin brother." Hermione says quietly.
