Brian woke up happily as his alarm clock rang. " Today I finally get to choose my first pokemon wake up Will" he yelled going into his older brother's room. " what" said Will emotionlessly. Whatever, I'll go by myself" he said running down the stairs. He reached Professor Rowan's lab 15 minutes later. Two boys were there talking to the professor. Brian ignored the fact that the Professor was talking to someone and asked " can i have my starter pokemon now?".
"sure which one would you like?'' asked the professor. " Well I already made up my mind back at home, Turtwig I choose you".
Brian was now walking home turtwig walking beside him, he had 6 pokeballs total so he could catch 5 more pokemon. " Let's take the shortcut behind the forest and look for pokemon" Brian said enthusiastically running into the forest " twig" said turtwig "I can tell by your tone that was a smart-ass remark and yes I know how to battle".
Brian and turtwig had been looking for 10 minutes and they still hadn't found anything. " Turtwig" said turtwig through a mouth full of berries, Brian pulled out his pokedex and found out Turtwig could use tackle, absorb and razor leaf " hey did you hear that" said brian approaching a bush. He saw an egg there so he picked it up.
They arrived home 10 minutes later " nice you chose Turtwig" said Will
"Yeah look what we found in the woods" said Brian reaching into his bag and pulling out an egg. " want to have a battle out back?" asked Will
" sure" said brian " you use empoleon so it will be more fair"
" yeah it might be kind of close if empoleon takes double damage" replied Will smirking
" wait boys, you need to eat breakfast," said their mom Tracy, but they were already battling.
They started the battle out back " you can have the first move" said will
"Sure Turtwig use razor leaf" Brian yelled "twig" said turtwig " dodge it" yelled will but about 3 leaves hit him "empoleon use water gun" "poleon" " dodge it and use tackle" said Brian Turtwig narrowly dodged the water and steamed toward empoleon " use steel claw" said Will and Turtwig was sent across the court.
Turtwig yelped with pain " Turtwig are you ok" said Brian " Twig" replied Turtwig in a sarcastic tone " now use bubble" said Wil " Get up and use razor leaf again" Said Brian, Almost every leaf hit him " ha ha you thought we were done use tackle" Said Brian
" little shit" Will muttered "use steal claw" " turtwig use absorb" Turtwig went right through empoleon "now use razor leaf" " turn around and use water gun" Will yelled Empoleon turned around just in time and unleashed the water.
"Turtwig is unable to battle you win" Brian mumbled clearly disappointed.
"That was good for your first battle against a trainer who's made the sinnoh league" said Will
" What the heck is that" they heard Tracy call from inside " hey look your egg hatched" said Will pointing to the pokemon on the ground. "I've never seen that pokemon before" said Brian pulling out his pokedex "It says its a Larvitar who can use tackle leer and dark pulse" said brian he then reached into his bag grabbed a pokeball and threw it at the larvitar " its green alright I caught a Larvitar" Said Brian happily.
"Here are your pokemon back and healthy" 12 hours had passed since he caught Larvitar, " ok thanks nurse Joy" he said leaving the pokemon center He arrived home and was greeted with some not great news " we're moving to the Kalos region on monday" Tracy informed the two of them. "Ok I'll go pack" said Will unhappily " and I'm going to try to catch another pokemon before we leave" said Brian heading for the front door. "I'll be home for lunch" he yelled from the front yard hurrying towards the forest.
Searching the forest Brian said " o.k. Guys come on out and look for pokemon" . Two red gleams appeared and a Larvitar and Turtwig " twig twig" said Turtwig sarcastically " tar " said Larvitar happily. They found a sneasel after 10 minutes " Never seen that pokemon before" he mumbled. He reached in his bag and threw a pokeball. It hit him, started swaying back and forth and then the sneasel came out again. " Damn it larvitar use dark pulse he said" a form wind energy came out of his mouth and hit Sneasel, Sneasle lay on the ground exhausted Brian threw another pokeball at him.
With the newest member of the team they realised they were lost so stopped for lunch. " I hear rustling in the bushes, sneasel use ice shard at those bushes" he said pointing towards some bushes " ow" he heard someone yell the person stood up, Brian recognized him from the lab. "I was going to ask if you wanted to battle" said the boy " sure said Brian Larvitar i choose you he said". Larvitar stopped eating and stepped forward to battle.
"You're 2 hours late where the heck were you" asked Tracy annoyed
" I got lost in the woods and then some kid's chimchar destroyed my larvitar in a battle" Replied Brian gloomily
" well get packing the boat leaves in 3 days, the cargo people are coming to pick up the furniture later here have some eggs" she said handing him a plate. "When will our stuff get there?" asked Brian about a week after us your brother wants to challenge all the gyms so he'll be gone for about a year"she replied
" I also want to be a trainer. I'm also going to try to get into the kalos league," He said storming upstairs to his bedroom where he opened up his pokeballs. " are you o.k. Larvitar" he asked "Larvitar" he replied weakly "looks like you need to go to the pokemon center again"Brian said have some more rest he said as Larvitar went back into his pokeball, and he started packing.
Man this boat is slow Brian thought to himself as he watched his Sneasel, Turtwig and larvitar play fight on the deck. Then a boy approached him. The boy had dark skin with curly hair, he had brown eyes and looked around the same age as Brian. " Hi my names marcus and this is my partner, warturtle, want to have a battle?" "sure I'm Brian and these are my pokemon he" said pointing to the three of them wrestling
"Ok you both get to use 3 pokemon whoever knocks out the other three pokemon first wins" said Will who was referring their battle.
" Raichu I choose you" marcus said throwing forward a pokeball
"Ok then sneasel I choose you." "Sneasel use Ice shard." " raichu hit them back with iron tail" the shards were deflected back at sneasel " dodge them now use leer and then quick attack."Raichu use quick attack" both collided in the center but Raichu took a lot more damage. "Now use Ice shard" Brian yelled "Raichu use Thunderbolt"
"Both pokemon are unable to battle tie" said will
"Heliolisk I choose you" said Marcus " Turtwig I choose you" said Brian
"You can have first move" said Marcus "thank you now Turtwig use razor leaf" the weaves went flying at heliolisk " dodge them then use electro ball" "use absorb" said brian the ball of electricity went right through turtwig " now use tackle" turtwig hit heliolisk like a bag of bricks knocking him backwards "now use razor leaf while he's down" called brian the leaves hit heliolisk hard and he stayed down.
"Looks like I'm winning" Brian says smugly " yeah well nobody ever knocked out my wartortle in the 9 battles I've had" Marcus says putting heliolisk back in his pokeballs." wartortle I choose you" Wartortle hurried forward "tortle tortle" he said in a game face " he's a water type so grass type moves are super effective" said Brian to himself " you can have first move this time" Brian said to Marcus
" Wartortle use shell attack" marcus said calmly immediately wartortle went into his shell and flew towards turtwig " use absorb then turn around 180 degrees and use razor leaf" Brian shouted "twig" said turtwig as he turned around the leaves pelted wartortle " get up and use water pulse then water gun" yelled Marcus. Wartortle jumped up, made a ball of water in his hands and hit turtwig with it, then his mouth opened up and sent water out and it slammed turtwig.
" turtwig use tackled" Brian called " draw him in then jump over him and use shell attack" Said marcus "stop and use absorb then repeat what we did earlier" called Brian. The attack worked like a charm leaves went ramming into wartortle and he took a lot of damage, "now use tackle" Brian said loudly he rammed into wartortle who had just barely got up and knocked him out.
"Wartortle is unable to battle Turtwig is the winner" said will "congratulations on your first win also there's the kalos region" Will continued "wow my Wartortle has never been beaten before now I'm 9-1 congrats" Marcus said " thanks man this is my first win now I'm 1-2" said Brian happily
" I was wondering if you want to challenge all the gyms together since we're both trainers" asked Brian casually "sure, oh by the way this is my friend from kanto Sabrina" said marcus " Hi" said Sabrina
The three of them arrived in a luminous city 10 minutes later. Brian was glad he had friends to travel with, he never had friends back in sinnoh. He was in awe at the fact that Marcus had 3 gym badges back in the kalos region. " we should probably check in to the pokemon center first" sabrina said
"Bye mom bye will" Brian said hugging each of them "here is the address we'll be at if you want to visit" Tracy said "come out you guys" said sabrina opening 3 pokeballs a Bulbasaur,pidgey and Evee came out "nice pokemon" said Brian "thanks" replied sabrina
"Here you go you are now registered to have gym battles, and here are your badge cases" said nurse joy to them "thank you do you know where the nearest gym is?" asked Marcus "Yeah it's at prism tower in the center of luminous city" said Nurse joy have a good night "also you can pick up your pokemon tomorrow morning" she said as they left.
