The three teens stopped running and started breathing heavily. They waited until nightfall to run. Their parents found out quickly and called the police. They couldn't call the cops to help them escape because their Father is the Police Chief and their Mother is the Mayor, they use that power to get away with most of the abuse the teens receive.
"Are they following us?" Emira asked.
"I-I-I don't know." Edric said.
Amity looked around and saw flashlights in the tree line.
"They're coming!" Amity whisper-shouted.
They started running again and heard an owl, they looked around and found an old abandoned shack with an owl flying through.
"Let's hide in here." Emira said.
They ran through the, very fancy door, unaware that it folded up and disappeared behind them. They stopped and took a breath, until Amity noticed their surroundings.
"Uh, I don't think we're in Maine anymore." Amity said.
The twins noticed that they weren't in their hometown anymore, they were in some kind of tent. Suddenly, a hand landed on Amity's shoulder and the three of them were tossed outside, onto the other side of a table. They looked up and saw a woman with bright orange hair.
"Okay, I don't know how you three got back there, but you-"
She was cut off as the table shook and a small voice made a pained sound.
"Uh, hang on a sec." The woman said before looking under the table, "Are you okay, sweetie?"
A small head popped up from under the table.
"I'm fine, mom!" A brunette girl, with an orange streak, said happily, "Who are they?"
"Oh, these three are customers. I found them in the tent. Are you sure you're, okay? I told you, you shouldn't do a teleportation spell until you know how to put the location properly."
"Yeah, I'm sure-" She met Amity's gaze, "H-hi, I-I-I... I'm Luz Clawthorne."
"I-I-I'm... Amity. Amity Blight."
Luz's mom snapped her fingers in front of Luz's face and knocked Luz out of her daze.
"I'm assuming you came to see me during work for a reason?"
"Oh, yeah! Mami needs you to come home early." Luz sent a look at Amity before returning to meet her mom's gaze, "C-can they come?"
Eda smirked, knowing that Luz was already head over heels for the human kid.
"Sure, Kiddo." Eda said, ruffling Luz's hair, "You three, come with us."
The Blight's look at each other and decided that anything was better than staying still. They got on a weird wooden thing and it started flying. Edric and Emira were screaming in fear, while Amity as more focused on the girl in front of her. She wrapped her arms around Luz, she didn't remember doing it, her mind was on auto pilot.
"There's nothing to be afraid of, Amity." Luz said, "My mom is the best Staff flier on the Boiling Isles."
They landed and the Blight Teens looked at the "house".
"This house is bigger than ours!" Emira said.
"Well, that the benefit of being high up in the government." Eda said, "You know, after that old, masked, bastard was taken down."
Luz happily bounced on her feet.
"Come on! Let's go!"
Luz grabbed Amity's wrist and pulled her inside, both blushing like mad. Eda turns to the twins.
"Well, let's get inside my Manor... that is a sentence I still can't believe I get to say. Anyway, let's get inside, my wife won't be happy if we're late."
And we start this story with Luz and Amity having Bi and Gay panics, respectively. That will change later, they are more than gay, hormonal, teenagers. I have big plans for them, especially Amity. Follow, Favorite, and Review for more.
