It was no suprise to the senior O'Brien (Sean) when the helicopter distended upon the Greenland. He'd been waiting for Walter to screw up again- not a case of IF but WHEN. The family's closest friends and relatives had been gathered to celebrate his Wife Louise's birthday. He rolled his eyes and huffed at the thought of Walter ruining yet another family celebration. He prayed that that Agent Gallo wasn't involved in whatever it was. He always thought he was a bad influence- especially after the Bagdad situation.

"Mr O'Brien I presume?" A agent shouted as he ran towards him, holding up his homeland badge. "We wasn't able to reach you by phone" of course he wouldn't the lines were being fixed over the next couple of days. "May we talk inside?" 'At least it was a different agent' he thought to

himself as he let the tall suited man past him.

The agent was suprised by the amount of people in the small house "may we go someone more private to discuss this?" The agent asked him quietly.

"Everyone here is used to Walters antics, you might as well sit down and spit out what you are about to say" he huffed. The agent glanced around nervously before settling down on one of the unoccupied dining chairs, turning it to face everyone.

"Whats the little shite done now" laughed a tall man (Thomas), while his brother laughed. The agent drew a breath and insisted again that the conversation be more private- to which Louise and Sean agreed after seeing the look in his eyes.

"48 hours ago there was a Nuclear Emergency at the site of the Fukushima power plant in Japan that would make the previous incident look like a drop in the ocean." He began "your Son's company Scorpion works with Homeland, MI5 and other goverment and private agencies, though mostly Homeland, dealing with everything from world ending Extinction events, Mobsters, Spies, Hacking, Rouge missiles and catastrophic Nuclear incidents."

Sean had to admit he was impressed- after seeing the state of the Garage where Walter lived he had thought his son to be a failure, dragging poor Sylvester down with him. But then his thoughts swiftly changed- the idea of agent coming to his house out of the blue without a previous phone call and his son at the site of a very famous Nuclear disaster filled him with dread, he didn't understand Walter- hell they barely spoke without some kind of disagreement, but he still loved him and worried about him. "He's alive isn't he? And Sylvester?" Sean asked worriedly while Louise clutched his hand for support.

The agent smiled "you have nothing to worry about. They are in Quarantine for the minute and although Walter has sustained a few injuries he will be fine. There was complication however" he grimaced "The radiation carries a certain amount of risks even while wearing a radiation suit- but the situation in Japan was worse then we were informed- rendering their protective equipment useless and as such your Son, Mr Dodd and Miss Dineen have been given a extended quarantine period." "but he's ok though?" Sean questioned wondering why this couldn't be said in a phone call. "yes" the agent agreed "the situation is however additionally complicated by the matter of guardianship" now both Louise and Sean were confused "When they left on the mission no arrangements needed to be made, as two other members of Scorpion were readily available to step in but since then another important job has popped up requiring the expertise of Mr Gallo, Mr Curtis and Miss Quinn so naturally we felt it prudent to contact the next of kin to arrange temporary guardianship" the agent finished. "Guardianship of what?" Louise questioned. The agent turned to her "I'm sorry I shouldve been clearer Mrs O'Brien. Guardianship of your Grandson"

A Grandson! Louise never thought she'd see the day. It was the single best birthday present she could think of. She never knew Walter had a girlfriend even- He and Sylvester never mentioned it and he wasn't a new addition either- he was at least 9! Upon learning they were previously unaware of his existence the agent had apologised and informed him that he was mentally enabled like Walter and that he'd be carrying on his lessons from his laptop so as not to miss any school. Louise expected the boy to be nervous, upset even. But straight away the boy gave her a big hug when he saw her and she laughed as he shook her husband's hand formally.

"Are you OK my dear?" she asked him. After all it must've been worrying to the boy having to be whisked away to another country so far from what he knew. "I'm OK." He replied. "I know everyone is fine and Dad told me you'd look after me. He trusts you and that's good enough for me." He smiled at her and gave her a nod before walking to the dining room to plug in his laptop.

Sean, who had watched the exchange, walked over to Louise and hugged her side. "would've been nice to know about him" he huffed. It would be good to have someone to care for again though- he thought to himself, after Megan had passed it had been hard to smile.
