Prologue

Heatwave had reunited with his wife Hightemp from Cybertron after all those years apart they remained loyal and still loved each other. They decided to spend of time together on Cybertron as the Academy was being built. During that time Hightemp became pregnant.

"Hightemp you should really come back to earth with me," Heatwave said.

"I am not so sure Heatwave I never left Cybertron after coming home as a refugee and well I am not so sure if I would like it there," Hightemp said.

"I know you will love it there, the Burns family will love you, the people of Griffin rock will love you, and you know I love you," Heatwave said.

"I'll think about it Heatwave I still am unsure about this," Hightemp said.

"Okay," Heatwave said.

Hightemp's pregnancy was going well and Heatwave was excited at the thought of becoming a father. Then on a sunny spring day on Cybertron their son was born. "He's so precious," Hightemp said.

"He's perfect," Heatwave said.

"Let's name him Hot shot," Hightemp said.

Hot shot was a small little sparkling. Heatwave and Hightemp loved their son dearly. Heatwave was often gone to over see the academy being built as things were getting ready. He still found time to make it to Cybertron to visit his wife and son.

Tonight Hightemp was trying to calm the fussing Hot shot. "Shush, it's okay," Hightemp said.

Heatwave came in. "Hi sweetie you take a break I'll take over," Heatwave said taking Hot shot into his arms. Hot shot was still fussing. "It's okay Hot shot daddy's here," he said. "I got something for you." he said and pulled out a stuffed Dalmatian.

Hot shot smiled and cooed at it.

"When daddy isn't here to protect you and make you feel safe Sparkplug will do it for me," Heatwave said.

Hot shot fell asleep after that with Sparkplug close by.

There was one bot who wasn't too happy that Heatwave and Hightemp had a son. His name was Hardburn and he loved Hightemp and wanted her to be his not Heatwave's and he wanted to win young Hot shot over too.

So he came up with a plan he sent a message to Heatwave saying his wife and son had died in accident and he sent a message to Hightemp saying Heatwave had died in a rescue attempt.

The rescue bots were shocked but Heatwave was unsure whether or not to believe that message. Hightemp didn't believe her message and kept on refusing Hardburn and Hot shot refused to bond with him. Because his mother was telling him about his real father and that he was still out there. Hot shot hoped he would meet his real dad. He hasn't given up hope that his father is still alive.

Soon Hot shot had arrived on earth to be apart of the first class of recruits. He was unaware he was going to see and meet his long lost father.
