Saturday evening came and Miranda was getting ready she got her nails and feet done. Then her hair.

She lotion down her body before putting on her beige thong and strapless bra. Miranda didn't think her breast would fit in the bra, but it did and it had them sitting up high.

She sat down and did her makeup singing to herself. She went with a soft glam look. Gold eyeshadow, eyeliner, eyelashes and her natural lip color.

After completing her makeup. She walked over to her bed and slid her dress on. She got it zipped completely then she threw on her dangling earrings and gold heels.

Grabbing her clutch she threw in her license and debit card as well as her phone.

Miranda walked out into her living room and Tucker turned looking at her.

"Where are you going like that?" He asked standing as he dragged his eyes across her body repeatedly.

"I told you two days ago that I was going to a ball with Richard." She expressed.

"I don't even know if I want you to go anymore. Your breast is on display and you can see the entire curve of your ass." Tucker huffed.

"Well I am going, have a good night." Miranda said nonchalantly walking out the door and bumped into Richard.

"Chief." Miranda smiled seeing his tie matched her dress.

"You look beautiful Miranda." Webber smiled.

"Thank you sir."

Arriving at the ball. Miranda took Richard's arm and walked inside. She laughed at everyone looking at them.

"They all probably think. You're my sugar daddy." Miranda laughed.

"Bailey I'm not that old." he laughed. "They are probably wondering how I did end up with the best looking woman here tonight."

"You're right." She stated playfully.

They walked to their table and Miranda sat down beside him.

"How come we don't throw a ball like this?" She questioned.

"Well I would have, but the woman that I would get to orchestrate it has a lot on her plate right now." Webber answered.

"I don't mind throwing one. I think we should do a winter one." Miranda expressed drinking some water.

"That sounds nice." He commented.

"Richard Webber." A voice said causing Miranda and Richard to turn around.

"Catherine Avery." Richard smiled.

"Fancy seeing you here." The woman laughed.

"You knew I would be." He stated standing up.

"Hey Dr. Bailey right?" Catherine acknowledged.

"That is correct." Miranda answered with a light smile.

"Would you like to dance?" Catherine asked him. Miranda was impressed with the woman's boldness.

Richard turned and looked at Miranda asking If she was okay. He didn't want to just up and leave her alone.

"Oh no, go Sir enjoy your friend." Miranda smiled putting emphasis on Friend. So he understood what she meant.

Webber smiled before going out onto the dance floor with Catherine.

Miranda stood and walked to the open bar

"Can I have a glass of bourbon." Miranda asked the bartender.

"One glass of bourbon." He recited back making her drink.

After receiving her drink Miranda stood by a wall watching as everyone danced.

"So your the type to watch people dance instead of joining in?" Ben asked walking up to the most stunning woman he had ever seen. Her face was beautiful, her body was amazing, but she looked sad almost.

Miranda turned her head and looked at the handsome stranger. His voice was smooth and a chilled tone. That sent a tingle flying down her spine.

"I'm married." Miranda said quickly.

"So you still don't dance?" Ben countered and Miranda just stared at him.

"Come on --" Ben waited for her to give him her name.

"Miranda." She said softly.

"Ok Miranda. Do you dance Miranda?"

"I don't with strangers." She responded turning her head away from him.

"My name is Benjamin, but I go by Ben."

"Why Ben? I like Benjamin..." Miranda said pronouncing his name in a way no one has ever.

"You can call me whatever." He laughed playfully.

Miranda nodded sipping more of her drink.

"So Miranda would you like to dance?"

"Thank you for the offer, but no I don't."

"Are you afraid I'm going to out dance you." Ben smirked.

"You couldn't if you tried." Miranda replied back snarky.

In that moment Miranda eyes widened as he started dancing in front of her.

"Oh My God Benjamin stop your embarrassing me and yourself." She laughed so hard.

"Not until you dance with me." He laughed doing the K- Swiss.

Miranda looked around at everyone looking at them and she laughed again saying "okay okay I will dance with you just stop." She rushed out.

"Thank you." Ben smiled.

"You weren't even doing the K-Swiss right." Miranda peered.

"You can do better?" He questioned.

"I can ,but not in this dress." She stated pointing at the bottom of it that touched the floor.

"Another time then." He asked.

"Maybe." Miranda pursed.

Miranda sat her drink down at the near table and grabbed onto his outstretched hand.

Ben pulled her out onto the dance floor and the waltz started.

"So are you a doctor or just attending the ball?" Ben questioned stepping forward with his left foot and Miranda stepped back on her right.

"I'm a surgeon." She replied as a matter o factly.

"Wow really what kind?"

"I'm in my 5th year of residency, but I will be a general surgery attending in a year.

"Congratulations, but you know you could have been an international model by now."

"Boy please a model, you're crazy." Miranda giggled.

"What do you do?" She questioned.

"second year attending, anesthesiology."

"Mmmm." Miranda said staring up at him.

"What?" Ben questioned.

"I'm just trying to see if I can picture it. You sitting down with scrubs on all day. You don't seem like the type at all. I figure you would have been a physical therapist or something."

"And why is that?" He asked genuinely.

"Well because even with this suit on I can tell your built." She blushed.

Ben smiled wiggling his eyebrows. "I work out. "Hell I need a work out." Miranda mumbled.

"What was that?" Ben asked hearing every word she said.

"Nothing." Miranda blushed as he dipped her.

They clapped as the dance was over and he grabbed her hand leading her off the floor.

"Thank you for dancing with me Miranda."

"It was my pleasure." She smiled. She was actually having a good time with him.

"It was fun, I haven't dance in a while." She admitted.

"And why is that?" Ben questioned as they walked over to the bar.

"I don't really have time. I have my job and family."

"You have kids?"

"One son. He is almost 2." Miranda expressed and Ben nodded his head. Her face brighten up when she mentioned her son.

"You still have to find time to enjoy yourself. Your a surgeon, a wife and a mother, but you are still Miranda.

Miranda smiled at him. "What were you drinking?" He asked.

"Bourbon." Miranda answered.

" drinking whiskey says a lot about you." Ben commented.

"What does it say about me Ben?" She asked turning her head to the side.

"Well for starters it says you can hold your liquor." Ben chuckled and she laughed.

"Continue on." Miranda encouraged.

"Your strong, you don't half-ass things, your provocative, your a profound thinker, you have a taste for the finer things, your not afraid to stick up for yourself or others, your emotional, you are a bad ass, and last but not least sexy." He said slowly licking his lips at the word sexy.

"You right about all of that." She smiled back.

Ben and Miranda walked around the room and was stopped by a photographer.

"You two are a beautiful couple. Do you want to take pictures?" He asked them.

Miranda mouth gaped open and she turned to Ben who nodded his head.

"We would love too."

"Ben why are we taking pictures? What are we going to do with them?" Miranda questioned.

"We are going to keep them I guess. Or we don't even have to get them at the end." He said shrugging his shoulders.

Miranda and Ben walked over and they took several pictures with several different poses.

"I don't think I have ever had the pleasure of taking pictures of a couple who was this in love before. You both are natural and love each other naturally. It's quite beautiful." He commented.

Miranda blushed at his statement. Did they really look to be in love she thought.

The man showed them both the pictures and Miranda looked at them all.

She listened as Ben thanked the man for the photos and he even tipped him.

"Come on Miranda." Ben said grabbing her hand pulling her in the direction towards the back of the ball.

"Where are we going?" Miranda questioned.

"Just come with me. You don't trust me?" He asked her genuinely.

"How can I trust you. We just met less than 2 hours ago?" Miranda whined but found herself following behind him. She just met him, but she was sure she would follow him anywhere and that was a dangerous thing. She was treading in dangerous territory especially for a married woman.

Ben led her up a staircase and he opened a door.

Miranda peered into the open door and looked around.

"Oh Ben. This is beautiful." She smiled walking in fully. She could see the space needle and skyline.

"Not as beautiful as you Miranda."

The way he said her name made Miranda clench her thighs together. She knew she shouldn't have came up here with him because he made her nervous. It was a new feeling. A feeling that she never felt before, but she could feel it in the pit of her stomach and all over her body.

Miranda and Ben talked for another hour. Telling each other things about themselves and just got lost in conversation. She never met someone she was instantly comfortablewith. It normally takes her time to warm up to someone. He made everything seem natural and easy. They fell into a rhythm and flowed perfectly.

Miranda walked over to the balcony and stood looking at everything again and the moving city below her.

"Ben if you could do everything over again would you?" Miranda asked softly.

Ben came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her body causing Miranda to shiver. The effect he had on her was ridiculous. Their bodies were pressed together and trapping her into the brick structure of the balcony. Ben's face was in her neck and he answered her softly.

"No I wouldn't."

"Why?" She asked turning in his arms.

"Because if I did everything over then I wouldn't have met you." He responded honestly.

Miranda looked up into his eyes as the wind blew. Ben watched as her hair fell in her face. He quickly moved it out of her face, tucking it behind her ear. He stared into her eyes for a moment and her searching eyes never left his. She knew that she shouldn't, but she found herself leaning in. Ben leaned in and pressed his lips against hers. Miranda skillfully moved her lips with his and their kiss melted her causing tingles to shoot through her body. Ben tugged and sucked on her bottom lip asking for entrance. Miranda opened her mouth and allowed his tongue to enter.

His tongue explored her mouth leaving no place untouched. She had never been kissed like this before. It was thrilling. She swiped her tongue against his, and the two battled for dominance. Miranda moaned loudly and fell back into the rhythm they had set. Ben slid his hands across her body slowly grabbing onto her ass. Miranda wrapped her arms around his neck and Ben put his hands around her thighs lifting her up and she quickly put her legs around his waist. She didn't know all of this was possible in the dress she had on. It was bunched at her waist and the rest pooling behind her as she was on the balcony. Miranda moaned again as she felt Ben's hardness against her panty clad center. She was soaking wet and her nipples was hard.

She was aroused, and she wanted him so bad. If she didn't have him. She didn't know if this need or ache would ever be satisfied. It was Indescribable. She wanted this man like life depended on it. If she could compare it too anything. It would be the reason the sun shined in the morning and the moon came out at night.

"Mmmmh Ben." She whimpered. "We are on the balcony." She said warning him. She didn't dare look over her shoulder as she stared into his eyes.

"I won't drop you." He told her firmly capturing her lips again.

Ben kissed her with so much passion. That it made her dizzy and him drunk with need. The attraction he had for her and to her was uncharted territory.

He kissed down her neck to the swells of her breast and Miranda felt her wetness pouring.

Miranda had a decision to make and she weighed the options. " cheat on my cheating ass husband or be faithful to my cheating ass husband."

She weighed her options and she couldn't do it. She wasn't that girl and she only assumed he was cheating.

"Benjamin wait, we can't" Miranda said as she pushed against his chest.

"I'm sorry, Miranda I shouldn't have." Ben started and Miranda cut him off. She could see the worry in his face.

"Don't apologize. You didn't do anything I didn't want you to do."

"I know. I just should have never put you in that position and for that I'm sorry. "

Miranda smiled wearily as he stepped back and let her down. Miranda pulled her dress down and tried to fix herself. She honestly wanted to cry because she knew this would probably be the last time they saw one another and truthfully it should be. She didn't trust herself around him.

Ben stared in her eyes and she stared back.

"Good night Miranda." He smiled studying her face trying to burn it into his memory.

"Good night Benjamin." She said back sweetly.

Miranda walked towards the door and opened it. Ben turned around and leaned over the balcony blowing out a huge breath.

"Ben." Miranda whispered softly causing him to turn around quickly.

She rushed into his arms and Ben leaned down to kiss her one final time. He wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her flush against him and she threw her arms around his neck. Miranda's heart raced as they kissed. Ben broke their kiss closing his eyes and resting his forehead against hers.

"Remember me okay." Miranda whispered.

"I will never forget." Ben said softly and then she was gone.

Ben walked downstairs with his hands in his pocket thinking. "This had to be what love at first sight felt like... right?" He mumbled.

"Excuse me sir. Here are your pictures." The man said holding out a white envelope.

Ben took the envelope and opened it. He scanned the photos and saw the bottom right corner of the picture with a jagged edge. It was torn off. He smiled to his self because he knew exactly which one was missing and where it was gone too.

In that picture Miranda was standing in front of him and the photographer was taking the side view of them. Ben had both of his hands on her face staring into her eyes and because of their impeccable height difference She was looking up into his and it looked as if they were going to kiss.

He knew it was her favorite. When the photographer showed them the shots she peered over it longer than all the other photos.

Ben honestly didn't want to let her go. He wanted to search for her , but it was 103 hospitals in Seattle and he had no clue which one she worked at.

The only thing he had was her first name.

"Damn she just Cinderella'd me." He whispered.
