Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto; it is the property of Masashi Kishimoto. If I did own it, it would be a little like this story. Also, the OC characters that will be introduced later in the series belong to me.

Enough rambling from me, on to the story!

It has been a whole year since Kurama and Inari had become a devoted couple, everything's been running smoothly in the Kitsune village and for once Kurama himself has been at peace ever since he has returned from his mission of rescuing his kind from the blasted humans that hurt the poor defenceless creatures, especially if the foxes are not Youkai. From being on the run hunted by them to being the hunter, he has quite the reputation in the human realm which he did not want. Kurama in the realm of the humans was named 'The Prowler'. Legends say that anyone that meet it would suffer eternal punishment. Kurama smirked to himself at that. He finds it quite amusing how fast the damn naked apes spread these rumours to entertain themselves. It's just hilarious!

Kurama decided to snap back to reality and look at his mate that was leaning against his right shoulder. She glows just like the moon in the night sky. Stargazing was one of his favourite pastimes, especially if you have a partner with you. It makes it so much more romantic!

Right now, the two were at the place they first met, the field of rainbow, on top of the mountain under the sakura tree. It was a peaceful night; No harsh winds, no grey clouds getting in their way, and no one here to disturb them at all. Kurama sometimes wonders what his siblings are up to, hoping that they aren't doing anything reckless. He shook that thought off. There's no way his brothers and sisters are that stupid to get involved with the human race right? He decided to shake away these worrying thoughts and instead thought about the here and now. He doesn't want to ruin this moment right now!

Inari sensed her mate's distress and decided to comfort him. "Something on your mind Kurama-kun?" She asked, concern evident in her voice.

Kurama turned to see her beautiful smile washing away any negativity and tension that he didn't know was building up inside of him. Her heart is truly made of gold as everyone say it is. Kurama finally decided to let his voice through. "Nothing's wrong Inari-hime, just thinking about my siblings that's all" he said the half-truth.

"Don't play games with me Kurama-kun, you know I can sense emotions right?" she reminded him.

"Alright fine, I'll tell you all that I've been hiding hime" Kurama sighed in defeat.

Inari smiled a gentle smile telling him to go on.

Kurama decided to take in a shaky breath and started telling her his story and thoughts.

Memory

He was running through the forests of the Land of Fire, hearing screams and whimpers that were distant. Kurama decided to speed up, his heart pounding in his chest at the sudden telepathic SOS call he has received from one of his kind. Pumping his yoki into his feet, springing into the air, he decided to ride the wind. The closer he got to the source of the message, the louder his kind became. His senses were starting to overload with the scent of blood and foxes. Kurama was close. His eyes narrowed dangerously, glowing in the darkness of the night a blood red that can rip any human soul apart. [Don't worry, just hang in there, I'm almost there!] he sent his telepathic message, which seem to calm some of them down but not all.

He arrived at the source of the cries for help with a bang, an aura of rage surrounding Kurama. He blasted everything in his path, making sure none of the foxes got hurt. Hearing the alert cries of the humans, sensing they were also ninja, which pissed Kurama off even more, decided to get some reinforcements. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" He shouted and with a flick of one of his tails, he summoned almost over one thousand clones of himself to free the captured foxes, carry the injured and the dead to bury later and to fight off the disgusting human beings for ruining the lives of the poor innocent foxes.

In the end, once Kurama made sure all the foxes are free and escaped the prison, he decided to do one last thing in order to wipe this place of the map. [I want all of you kits to get as far away from here as possible, I don't want any of you getting hurt] he said in a gentle telepathic voice to all the foxes. All of them obliged, knowing what their lord and saviour was about to do.

Once Kurama knew they were all far enough away, in a poof of smoke, he turned into a giant. His tails swinging wildly with a mind of their own. An aura of chakra and yoki surrounding the angry youkai.

A dark purple ball of energy started to form right above his mouth. Once he knew it was big enough, Kurama has decided to let it lose on to the fox prison. "Take this you damned humans!" he shouted in pure rage. "BIJUDAMA!"

Inari was practically tearing up, on the verge of crying as Kurama told her his last thoughts and memories from the past and his long-term mission. Once he was done, Inari gave him a big bone crushing hug which he returned. Kurama's own tears were flowing down freely. It was a long time since he cried, and the one to make him do so is his beloved. He can feel her sadness for him. The reason for his own tears. Rubbing her back comforting her as she started to calm down, with Inari doing the same to Kurama. Once tears have been shed, Inari finally found her voice, although a bit raspy from all her crying and whimpers.

"Your life was so hard back then… why did you choose to go on this mission?" she asked in a sad, quite voice.

"I can't just sit back and relax in my village and watch my kind in the human world suffer, being sacrificial pawns for their expensive fur" he growled in disgust.

"That's why I decided to take it upon myself and let these pathetic creatures known as humans know to never mess with my kits! That they are under the protection of the Kitsune Clan!" He declared.

"You're so devoted, brave and kind, I knew from the start the moment I saw you" She confessed. "I kept hearing a lot of great things about you from many foxes" She added. "You really are a popular guy" She finished.

"Thank you Inari-hime, that means a lot to me" He said quietly, letting a small and genuine smile come through.

"Anything for you my love" Inari whispered in his ear, a cheeky smile on her face when she saw Kurama lightly blush.

"You changed my life hime, at first, yes, I was suffering from the curse of hatred the humans gave me. However, once you came along, I became the happiest fox in the world. You gave me everything; something to look forward to, have someone waiting back home for me. I know I have my people and all but having someone actually being by my side always gives me comfort. I hate being alone" He confessed.

"I know that feeling sometimes Kurama-kun. Have faith in yourself more. Plus, you're never alone because you have the support of your entire village! Even the council has your support! You don't have to do everything alone every single time because you're not! You have all of us coming along with you on this ride Kurama-kun, you're not alone any longer" She responded with a bright smile on her face that rivals the sun itself.

"You're always there for me aren't you Inari-hime?" He asked rhetorically with a happy smile on his face.

"I guess you're right, maybe I was always overthinking things back then, even now" He added.

"I should stop doing that" He finished.

"You see? It all works out in the end" Inari said.

"Yeah" Kurama said.

"It does" He finished.

It was a comfortable silence for a moment before Kurama decided to speak again.

"I'm just a big old fool" He chuckled with a smile.

"If you're a fool, then I'm a fool" She chimed in and giggled.

They both laughed for a little while until they settled down. It was a comfortable silence, until Kurama took deep, long breath as if preparing himself for something big. In which he was. He blushed a little as he took Inari by the hand and walked her towards the centre of the field, where the flat and quite tall piece of stone was, surrounded by a wall flowers. Of course, the field made a path for them towards it, mother nature answering their call. When they were close enough, Kurama picked Inari up bridal style and jumping up landing on the stone, nodding to himself and putting the startled vixen down.

"Why don't you warn me next time when you do that again?" She playfully pouted.

"Then it wouldn't have been a surprise and as fun now wouldn't it?" He rhetorically asked, chuckling at her reaction.

"What do you mean a surprise?" She asked, confusion visible on her face.

Kurama made his way to the centre of the stone, Inari following him. They stood in front of each other with Inari being confused by his actions. Kurama blushes heavily and he took a very deep breath. Calming down, he began.

"Inari, you are the light of my heart, always brightening up the mood whenever I'm in pain. I can't describe how happy I've been since you came into my life. Always supporting me in a time of crisis, we conquer the world together and come out on top even when we both go through hardships. If I continued to do this on my own, I do not know if I would've stayed sane. You always keep your promises and fulfil them even if it takes years to do so. I love you so much Inari, I don't know what I would've become if you hadn't come into my life! I hope that I can one day repay the kindness and support you gave me through the good and bad times but, may ask you something my love?"

Inari just stares at him in shock, just processing everything he just said in her mind and lightly nods.

Kurama goes down on his right knee, does a hand sign with his left hand and a small snow-white box appears in his right hand. He then opens the box with his now free right hand and asks her the question Inari didn't think she would hear in a thousand years and would remember this moment for the rest of her life.

"Will you marry me?" He asks in a nervous confidence.

Inari widened her eyes in realisation at what she just had seen and heard. Her mate is proposing to her?! She could not believe it! She has been waiting for so long to find someone precious to her. To love and care for them and here he was proposing to her! This is like a dream come true! Tears started streaming down her face, sparkling in the glow of the moon. However, they were happy tears. A lot of positive emotions are running through her system like a wildfire at the moment, from happiness to excitement. She looked down at her Kurama-kun who's a nervous wreck right now, and then looked at the box.

In the box was a ring, a ring made out of gold, with rubies embedded in it, with an enchanted blue diamond sitting on top that is purely radiating with beauty. Inari was wide eyed at the sight. The best present she ever got in the world!

Kurama couldn't stand the silence anymore and looked up at her to see her breaking down, but before he could think she rejected him, realisation struck him as he felt her emotions at full force. She was happy. She was crying happy tears! He thought about crying his own happy tears before Inari literally glomped him and started rubbing her head all over him before kissing him on the lips, tears still streaming down her face. Kurama happily returned it.

They stayed like that for a while before pulling apart, and they stood up panting heavily when Kurama went on his right knee again and grabbed the box with the ring in it still, which he's glad that it's alright and not scratched or broken. He grabbed her right hand and put the ring on her ring finger. Finally Kurama stood up again on his feet and smiled.

When Inari finally regained her bearings and stood up again, took a few calming breaths, she finally found her voice again and smiled a bright, heavenly smile.

"Yes" She said happily.

They both smiled happily at each other and kissed once more before parting again.

"Thank you for everything" Kurama said truthfully.

"I should be thanking you" She countered.

They just stared at each other for a while, admiring each other's forms, until Inari broke the comfortable silence.

"It's very late, we should be heading back" She said.

"The council is probably worried about us right now" She added.

"Don't worry, I told them beforehand that we'll be spending time outside the village for a while, so it's fine" Kurama reassured.

"You always come prepared, don't you?" She teasingly asked.

"Yeah, it's because I'm just that awesome" Kurama replied with a grin earning a chuckle from Inari.

"So, how do you want to do this?" Inari finally asked walking hand in hand back to the top of the hill where the lone sakura tree is. Inari's ring is on her right hand while Kurama's is on his left hand.

When they approached, Kurama responded with a grin.

"Want to go down to the village in style?" He asked.

Now it was Inari's turn to grin.

"Oh yeah" She answered.

They both then transformed into their fox forms and gathered their respective energy to their feet; Kurama with Yoki and Inari with the holy energy that he always feels from her and after that, they took off into the skies, dancing to the tune that nature provided them with.

"How are my skills at air dancing?" Kurama asked.

"I got to say, you're pretty damn good!" She compliment.

"Thank you!" He replied.

"I've been practising ya know?" He mentioned.

"I can see that" She responded.

They flew their way back to the village in comfortable silence afterwards, riding the wind.

-3 Years later-

The couple spent their time together well during these three years; No fall outs, just a healthy happy married couple in the Kitsune family residence located in the Kitsune village. This village has avoided all of the wars: The 1st, 2nd, and the recent 3rd shinobi war. This is because Kurama, Inari and the council have agreed to not get involved in human affairs. A second throne has been built for Inari, who has been named the queen of foxes. She can see the irony in that, since she already is the goddess of foxes anyways. She snorted at having to work two positions, but she decided to take it anyways because she begged him for it. A rule that they came up with was that they had to help anyone in need, human or kitsune (even though Kurama hesitated into agreeing in the helping humans part), but that is what the Kitsune family is all about: Helping ones in need. As long as the ones in need of assistance have good intentions that is.

Right now, the two were making their way back home from the Nature Temple, also known as the Shizen Jiin, where the Fox king and the new Fox queen do their duties as the Great Sages. It was a silent walk home, until Inari decided to let her voice be known.

"Hey Kurama-kun?" Inari asked with a small blush on her face.

"What is it Inari-hime?" Kurama asked curiously.

"Can we? Um… Can w-w-we…?" she started stuttering and blushing furiously at what she was about to ask him.

"Can we what?" Kurama questioned her, confusion visible on his face.

Inari took a couple of big breaths to relax before she stopped walking suddenly and looked at her handsome husband, in which she could now see that pure confusion is evident on him as he stopped walking as well. She decided to break it to him. It's too late to go back now. She leaned closer to his ear and whispered something that she knew would get Kurama a little embarrassed about.

"I want to have sex with you" she whispered as quietly as possible so only he could hear.

As soon as Kurama processed at what she said in his head, it suddenly clicked. It was his turn to blush profusely and become all nervous, earning a slight smirk from Inari.

"A-are, are you sure?" Kurama asked, stuttering slightly.

"I-I know a-a few th-th-things about it, b-but if you want to I m-mean…" He trailed off and was overloading with the emotion of embarrassment right now.

"Then I wouldn't mind giving it a try" Kurama managed to squeak out, earning a little laughing fit from Inari and a couple of chuckles from the other Kitsune that slightly overheard their conversation. She never heard his voice go up that high before.

Once Inari got her bearings straight, she spoke again.

"You know Kurama-kun" She started off.

"I have always wanted to start a small family of my own" She said longingly going off-topic before it can get even more embarrassing, especially when they're in public.

"I know I heard you talk about it quite a lot while we were still dating" She accused her husband.

"Yeah…" Kurama started.

"I do want my own family" He confessed.

"I don't care if the child is a boy or a girl, I just want to be a father, a good one that is" He finished.

"And I want to be a mother, a good one that is" Inari chimed in, getting a nod and a smile from Kurama.

"Then it's settled" Kurama said.

"We'll be trying it tonight" He finished by going back to that topic, causing both of them to blush at the same time.

-Night time, Kitsune Residence-

Candles lit, incense burning, and windows shut. Privacy seals up. The two lovers laying naked on the bed beside each other in their hanyou forms. Lust clearly evident in both their eyes. Kurama stares at Inari's figure, nice big, round, and bouncy breasts, a nice hourglass figure, and a pretty nice ass. Her pussy is already dripping wet, ripe, and ready to be bred. Inari was however, staring at his masculine body; very toned, been training every now and again she had seen, his hairless six pack chest and the most important part of his body that gets her aroused… the sight of his hard and throbbing cock. The two are in heat, ready for the action that's about to ensue. Inari couldn't wait any longer and decided to break the silence.

"So, how do we do this?" She asked very longingly.

"Want me to be in fox form and you fuck me in your hanyou form? Or maybe you in your fox form and me in hanyou form? Both of us in fox form?" She offered lustily.

Kurama got a nose bleed which he wiped off his nose immediately at her offers.

"Us Kitsune Youkai have the power to last at least a whole day worth of sex, so we will be able to all of your little offers" He explained.

Inari got a real heavy blush as she prepared for what was going to come.

"Would you like me to give you the rough treatment? Or would you like me to be gentle?" He asked seductively.

"Please be gentle Kurama-kun~!" She moaned out he started playing with her a little.

Kurama smiled perversely at her reaction, getting him even more riled up, licking his lips excitedly while thinking about the long night they were about to have.

-After Sex, early morning, 9am-

The two laid happily in the bed smiling at each other in their fox forms. Both relieved from any stress they might've built up during the day yesterday. The bed wet from the non-stop action they had during the entire night. The finale? Both having sex in their fox forms. Kurama decided to break the silence.

"You are mine forever Inari-hime" He said tiredly and quietly, panting slightly, his tongue out.

"And you are mine forever Kurama-kun" Inari said quietly and tiredly soon after, much more tired than her husband, panting heavily with her tongue out.

The last action that they both did before passing out was Kurama biting her on the right side of her neck lightly, making an orange fox mate mark appear there, seeing the bite marks healing instantly. Inari moaned in pleasure slightly at that action, in which Inari did the same soon after; biting Kurama on the left side of his neck lightly as well, making a white heavenly fox head appear there on the spot she bit which she saw the bite marks heal instantly. Her husband moaned at that action in pleasure. With a last smile that they shared together, they finally passed out at the same time. Sleeping soundly together on their bed.

-A week later, The Great Kitsune Hospital-

Kurama and Inari were waiting anxiously for the results of the test to come through. He was the most nervous, and Inari had to keep him calm from freaking out. The reason Inari was calmer was because she already knew the results beforehand since she wanted to surprise him. She was doing a good job at acting. The Kitsune are known for being mischievous, they wouldn't be masters at pranks and surprising others if they didn't know how to properly play their part in their pranking masterpieces. She mentally smiled at her work; it seems that the great nine tails can be played for a fool after all if you play your cards right. He was pacing from left to right constantly, his face all scrunched up, biting his lip so he could calm himself down. It seems that he really was about to lose it. He couldn't wait any longer! However, as soon as Inari grabbed his hand and got his attention, her bright and sunny smile showing, it made him calm slightly down.

Finally, the nurse came. The nurse stopped in front of them at her desk being as professional as always. She was a fine female; a slightly triangular body figure, her eyes a cerulean blue just like Inari's but a bit darker, ocean blue hair with light blue fox ears to contrast. She has four blue fox swinging casually behind her without a care in the world and she was wearing a traditional nurse's uniform. She saw that Inari was holding Kurama's hand and rubbing his back gently as he is literally shaking right now with his tails being slightly wilder than usual.

The nurse coughed into her hand to get the couple's attention.

"Alright, here are the official results from the test" she brings out a few pieces of paper and was about to give it to them until Kurama snatches them away from her desperately.

"Careful with them! There's important information on it!" She reprimanded his slightly, but it doesn't seem like he was listening.

"Don't worry about it Aria, you know this is an important moment for him" Inari said to the nurse now known as Aria.

"He has every right to be nervous" She added.

The two have known each other since Inari became a medic Kitsune. She was so good at her job that she raised up the ranks faster then the eye could see, with eventually her even becoming the head of the Great Kitsune Hospital.

Aria sighed and nodded in agreement and stayed silent for a while until she noticed that Kurama had frozen in place after reading something on the last piece of the document.

"What's wrong Kurama-Sama?" She asked while internally she was smirking. She saw that Inari was smiling a happy genuine smile.

"Is something wrong Kurama-kun?" Inari asked, worry evident in her voice.

Kurama dropped the papers all of a sudden, with tears streaming down his face like a waterfall and he finally decided to take a final look at his wife before completely unexpectedly fainting.

"Kurama-kun!" Inari shouted as she managed to catch him before he fell face first on to the floor.

"Kurama-kun! Kurama-kun!" She shouted, panicked by his sudden reaction to the news.

Aria ran over to the couple, seeing the entire event unfold before her eyes, decided to calm her best friend down.

"Hey, hey! It's alright, it's alright! There's nothing to worry about!" She reassured Inari.

After seeing her calm down, Aria started to explain.

"There have been quite a few cases like this in the past. Where the male Kitsune went under so much pressure from awaiting the results to see if their mates would be pregnant. When the results finally do arrive and look at the final outcome… they became so shocked that they ended up like your husband is now" She finished and looked at Kurama.

"All he needs to do now is rest and recover" She reassured Inari.

"Alright… thank you Aria-chan…" She whispered and had a tiny genuine smile across her face.

"No problem" She said.

"Would you like some assistance in carrying him home?" Aria offered.

A light nod was Inari's only response.

-A few hours later, Kitsune Family residence-

Kurama started to slowly wake, with Inari sensing it as she was sitting on a chair right by him, waking up from a deep sleep herself. Inari jumped up fully awake, ready to tell him the news. As Kurama slowly opened his eyes, he found his energy to speak as he looked around the room, confusion evident on his face.

"Where am I?" He asked tiredly.

"You're back home" Inari answered his question with a happy smile on her face.

Kurama turned to his right to see his wife sitting right next to him which got him to physically relax.

"How are you feeling Kurama-kun?" She asked.

"I feel like shit" He answered immediately.

"No swearing hon" She gently reprimanded him.

"Sorry" He apologised.

It was quiet for a moment, until Inari decided to let her voice be known.

"Kurama-kun" She said quietly.

"Yes my love?" He asked gently, his voice a little croaky from just waking up.

"Can I tell you something?" She asked nervously.

"Go ahead" He said with a small smile on his face.

"I'm pregnant" She said quietly, happiness evident in her voice.

Kurama's eyes suddenly widened in realisation as he remembered what happened a few hours ago. He started to tear up and soon cry, embracing his wife in a gentle hug with her returning the favour. Inari could feel his happiness coming off of him in intense waves. She was comforting him through soothing words, until he finally stopped shedding his tears.

"I've never been so happy in my entire life!" He said with a genuine smile across his face.

"Me too" She said.

It was a comfortable silence, until Kurama decided to break it.

"What should we name our kit?" He asked.

Inari stared at him incredulously for a moment until she grinned and then turned that grin into a gentle smile, putting a hand on her stomach where the baby is starting to develop.

"I don't know" She said truthfully.

"I have never really thought about it" She finished.

"I think I got a name for our kit in mind" He said.

"I'm listening" Inari said curiously.

"Naruto" Kurama said gently putting a hand on Inari's stomach.

"I think that is a wonderful name" She agreed.

They both smiled at each other, then kissed each other on the lips. It lasted for a while until they had to part.

"I'll go and make a celebratory dinner okay?" Inari said.

"I'll help you out" He declared as he managed to stand up only for Inari to push him back on the bed.

"You Mr. Hardworker need to rest" She reprimanded.

"Yes Ma'am" He joked half heartedly and they both laughed for a little while before she left to make the dinner.

Kurama stared at the door, smiling a genuine gentle smile before yawning and going back to sleep to recover the rest of his energy.

End of Chapter

Phew! That took a lot out of me! But it was worth it in the end!

The reason why this chapter was longer than it should've been is because there was a lot to cover on Kurama's and Inari's relationship since this is where it peaked. Nothing can separate them now!

Had to change this story to an M rating because of the light sex scene in this chapter.

Thank you all again for stopping by to read this fanfiction!

Constructive criticism will be considered, flames will definitely be ignored, positive reviews are greatly appreciated and ideas for the story will also be taken into consideration.
