Sometimes, all two friends need is a push in the right direction to realize what's been right in front of them all along. This is the story of how Naruto and Sakura went back to where it all began for them five years prior when they were freshly minted genin assigned to Team 7 and realized their feelings for one another. Written for NaruSaku Day 2021. An alternate ending to Ch 699.

2. Important Announcement

Hello everyone. So I just wanted to give you all a quick update on this story. First of all, I have added a cover to the story! This was a piece I had done by the very talented lenacringe. Please check her art out!

Now moving onto the important announcement that I wanted to make. After seeing how much positive reception this one shot received, I have decided to continue this story in a spinoff series of drabbles. This will kind of be like a side project for me to work on in between new chapters for my ongoing project, It's Better to Share the Pain, whenever I need a break from that story or have a bad case of writers block which has been the case as of late unfortunately. Nevertheless the first chapter of the spinoff will be finished soon and likely posted in the next few weeks. So be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that.
