It was a couple days later that anyone could bring themselves to inquire of this particular situation that their friend Sheldon had gotten himself in, mainly it was Penny. Leonard was there by happenstance, only returning once Priya had left. So really it was Sheldon who had to explain the whole ordeal, in extreme but clinical detail. Penny was processing for a moment.

"Ok, Sheldon. Let's get this straight…"

She swallowed pensively, "After Amy broke up with you, you spontaneously went to Los Vegas, alone…"

Sheldon nodded, "I realize that was an error on my part…"

"Yeah," momentarily raised eyebrows, "So, by shear coincidence Priya was also visiting from New York, celebrating her new job. And you decided to drink with her…"

Leonard frowned, "I thought you didn't like her?"

"I don't," Sheldon sighed, "I was emotionally compromised and inebriation exasperated the effect."

Penny shook her head, "Obviously because you fucked her, and got her pregnant."

"We had coitus," he ignored the eyerolls, "and we were not adequately prepared."

Penny looked pensive, "And somewhere in there you got married?"

"Our judgment may have been impaired by our inebriation and coitus…"

Leonard shook his head, "Apparently, I mean she is my ex-girlfriend."

Sheldon was confused, "I don't get your…"

"You don't do that…"

"Leonard, focus." After waving of Leonard, Penny turned back to Sheldon, "And how exactly did you not get a divorce right away?"

"That would be Raj's fault as Priya previously stated" Sheldon said frankly.

Penny was confused, "How Sheldon?"

Sheldon sighed, "Obviously Raj called his parents when Priya threw up in the toilet of his apartment and took a pregnancy test, who than in turn called my mother."

Leonard was confused, "How…How would we know that?"

"Exactly," Penny took a breath, "And why didn't you divorce right away?"

Sheldon shrugged, "We had schedules that had more pressing matters."

"Seriously, this didn't take precedence Sheldon," Penny shook her head in bewilderment.

"No, should it have?"

Yes, Sheldon. I should know," She took a breath, "Now, how did your parent get you to stay married."

"That was mostly Priya's fault, her father was going to disinherit her if she got a divorce while pregnant, seeing as arranging a marriage for her would be that much harder."

"WHAT!"

Sheldon sighed, "Priya informed me the arranged marriage was an idle threat and she was more concerned with her loss of financial support."

Leonard shook his head, "And you agreed to this because…"

"Priya managed to get our parents to agree to a year trial."

"But you guys work on opposite of the country?" Penny was confused again.

"She managed to negotiate a compromise, we are required to quote 'check in' each day and have a dinner once a week to discuss matters. Which we will do over zoom."

Penny blinked her eyes, "Wow, that was fairly smart of her."

Leonard scoffed, "I imagine, she could get away from you."

Sheldon frowned, "It was mutually beneficial."

Leonard smiled, "So you can sit out a year and get back with Amy…"

Sheldon looked perturbed, "We have updates and zoom calls, I can't quote 'sit it out'."

"Why, its not like your parents are going to check in…wait they are?"

"Yes."
