Chapter two is here! hope you enjoy!
Perry was thrown back into consciousness when a blinding light illuminated the room making his head hurt, he heard voices, but they seemed echoey and far away and after a few minutes the voices stopped and the light went away and he fell back asleep.
He was awoken again a few hours later, this time by the beeping of his watch. This time he was fully conscious and he sat up, he was immediately hit with a wave of nausea but it subsided after a few moments. He slid off the bed and pushed himself to his feet immediately as he did so he felt daggers of pain shoot up his right arm and he felt a little dizzy.
After a moment the dizziness passed and he looked at his watch, It was nearly 9! He quickly put on his fedora and as quickly as he could without getting too dizzy or making his arm hurt worse he made his way over to the closest entrance he took one of the vacuum tubes down to his lair and this proved to be a huge mistake. When he reached his lair instead of landing squarely on his feet like he usually did he lost his balance and sprawled across the floor squashing his injured arm underneath him. Blackness edged his vision, he felt sick to his stomach and his arm hurt so much! He lay on the floor for a few minutes waiting for the pain and nausea to subside.
Once he was ready he struggled to his feet and nearly collapsed into the chair. Perry reached out with his uninjured arm and quickly pressed the button to call Monogram while he waited. He tried to make himself as presentable as possible and sat up as straight as he could.
Monogram answered the call but stopped short when he saw Perry, "Great googly moogly! Agent P, what happened?! Are you ok?!" Perry, despite not being ok by any means nodded wearily and signed for Monogram to keep going, but monogram persisted "are you sure you can fight Doofenshmirtz today? You really dont look good at all." perry nodded again and waited for Monogram to continue. Monogram was hesitant as he continued the mission briefing reluctantly giving Perry the information about Doofenshmirtz.
When perry got up he was hit with another wave of dizziness and nearly fell over stopping himself using his injured arm when he did this he stifled a cry of pain and attempting to look like he was ok made his way over to the hovercar. Once he got in he immediately flew out of his lair once he was out of his lair he put the hover car on ottopilot even though no one was there he fought the urge to curl up in a ball in the seat.
His arm really hurt and he had a headache, he really wasn't feeling good at all and he was beginning to regret his decision to go to work, but his anxiety got the better of him and he stopped himself from calling monogram to ask for a day off.
Perry looked at his spy watch and was surprised to find that it was only noon ; technically speaking, he wasn't scheduled to be at D.E.I. till 1:00pm, meaning he had an hour to figure out how in the world he was going to beat Doofenshmirtz. After putting his hover-car back into manual steering mode he maneuvered the hover-car into some bushes around the middle of Danville park and got out.
while he was getting out he checked the glove compartment to see what he had to work with and found a large piece of cloth that was intended to be used as a backup parachute incase of an emergency, he wasn't really sure why they didn't just have an extra parachute but it worked for what he needed it for.
Perry got some scissors out of his hat and cut a strip of the fabric, he then tied it and looped it over his shoulder making it function as a makeshift sling. This was helpful as he didn't have to keep holding his arm up so it wouldn't hurt. After he did this he went and sat on a rock close by, he hugged his good paw around himself and sighed why does everything have to be so difficult? It wasn't fair!
Perry hesitated for a moment before getting up to survey the rest of his supplies, he checked the trunk and found an assortment of tools and gadgets along with a tent, a puffy winter jacket and a small first aid kit. He grabbed the kit and opened it looking over its contents, it was fairly small but he managed to find a small bottle of painkillers, he took one and put the rest back in the first aid kit and put the kit in the glove box. They weren't very strong so they didn't numb the pain completely but they brought it down to a dull ache that he was able to ignore without much trouble.
After about half an hour of just sitting and trying to get his strength back he lazaly looked at his watch and jolted in surprise, he should have been at D.E.I ten minutes ago! He quickly got to his feet and sprinted over to the hover car, when he got there he was somewhat out of breath and shaky. He paused for a moment before jumping into the hover car and driving one handed to D.E.I., when he arrived hesitantly removed the sling and parked the hovercar on Doofenshmirtz balcony.
