Katie worked on her current case involving a drug addict that had been murdered behind Samuel's Burger Joint, she was typing up the report while glancing at the Captains office intrigued by the Man who she bumped into, she could see Captain Fowler waving his hands in front of him as he spoke to the man who was standing the other side of his desk. Katie noticed he had a blue armband and a model number displayed on his jacket, the man was an android! Her eyebrows lifted in worry Katie wasn't comfortable around androids since she had been attacked by one before joining the police force.
Katie swallowed the lump in her throat and decided to go get a coffee from the break room, Gavin Reed was already in the room laying across the break room lounge watching football while drinking a cup of coffee, Katie walked over to the coffee machine and started to make her own cup of coffee. Gavin turned and said "did you hear Cyberlife are sending one of their robot over here to handle the deviant cases, What a bunch of shit sending in a plastic freak to take our jobs!" he exclaimed, "they probably have better scans and forensic tools than we do, the captain is speaking with an android at the moment"replied Katie as she stirred her coffee throwing the spoon in the sink with a clatter, everyone knew Gavin absolutely hated androids.
Katie returned to her desk to finish off the paperwork, Just as the Captain and the android came out of the office "thank you for the co-operation Captain Fowler" the android said straightening his tie again "you will likely find Hank out having a drink at the local bar, take lieutenant McKenzie with you since you all will be on the same task force" the Captain replied before returning into his office closing the door.
The android approached Katie "hello Lieutenant Katie McKenzie, my name is Connor and I have been sent by Cyberlife to catch deviants with Lieutenant Hank Anderson and yourself, would you please come with me to locate Hank Anderson?" Katie tried to smile at Connor, she was nervous but refused to show it she stood up and grabbed her Black Jacket off the back of her chair and put it on over her white blouse. "lets try the beer and sticks bar down the street first" Katie said to Connor while picking up her house keys and the gate pass as they headed out of the precinct.
Four bars later they arrived at Jimmy's bar there was I sign on the door No Androids Allowed "you should probably wait out here" Katie said as they approached the door "i will accompany you inside after what happened in that last bar, I am better equipped to keep you safe" Connor replied. The last bar had been noisy and two of the drunken patrons had cornered Katie and were about to assault her but Connor had asked them to politely leave her alone, when they refused he picked them up and moved them out into the nearest alleyway, Katie and Connor had left shortly after.
Katie shrugged "up to you" she turned and opened the door, a guy up the back yelled out "who let one of those plastic shits in here" both Katie and Connor ignored him and continued to the middle of the bar where Katie stopped by a middle aged man with grey hair and a brown trench coat was sitting, scanning his face Connor read the feedback at Lieutenant Hank Anderson. "Hello Lieutenant Hank Anderson, My name is Conner I have been sent by Cyberlife to hunt down deviants with Lieutenant Katie McKenzie and yourself" Hank grunted at him drinking the last of the whiskey in his glass "get lost I ain't interested in working with you" Katie sat next to Hank "come on Hank it will be more experience for me?" Katie said trying to appeal to his good nature. "I'll buy you a glass for the road, bartender another whiskey for the lieutenant" said Connor paying for another drink which Hank grumbled at but downed the whiskey and standing up "alright, alright already" he held up his hands.
