Chapter 2
Sorry this chapter took so long, but here it is.

"What's the plan?" Mia asked Antonio.
"We need to try to get that map and hopefully Octoroo doesn't show up," Antonio said.
"So...no plan?"
"Not really."
"Ok. Let's do it."
The two rangers snuck around and managed to get the map before they heard Octoroo's voice. They quickly hid behind some trees in the forest they were currently in.
"Ooh-ah-ooh," they heard Octoroo say. "There is no map here. But judging by how this is still open, the thieves are near." He sent an energy blast towards where Antonio and Mia were hiding and the two jumped out into the open. "Ooh-ah-ooh. What do you know? A couple of my old foes."
"We won't let you bring back Master Xandred!" Antonio said.
"Give me the map," Octoroo growled.
"Never!" Mia yelled.
Octoroo sent another energy blast towards the two, but when the smoke clears, they're gone. "Find them!" Octoroo ordered the moogers that he brought with him.
When Octoroo had sent the blast towards the two rangers, they used it as cover to escape. They kept running until they knew that no one was following them. "What do we do now?" Mia asked.
Antonio held up the map. "We still have this," he said. "We need to find what Octoroo is looking for before he has a chance to get it and this map will lead us there."
"Well, now Octoroo knows we know what he's up to," Mia said worriedly. "He's not going to make it easy."
"No, but we can have a head start since we have the map, and he doesn't. There's no way we're letting Master Xandred return."
Mia nodded. "Let's get going before Octoroo finds us." The two of them continued running through the forest.
Present
Matthew and Gianna went straight home after school like their parents told them to. They honestly never understood why their parents had so many rules that didn't make sense to them. They weren't allowed to go hang out with friends after school and had to go straight home, they weren't allowed to go too far away from their house when they were home, and they had to train at home how to fight for a reason they didn't even know! Every time they tried to ask their parents about their strict rules, their parents either dodged the question or told them they'd understand eventually. They hated those answers because they wanted to know why they had so many rules that their classmates didn't have.
When they got home, they saw their parents waiting outside for them and knew what was coming. More training.
"Put your backpacks inside and come back so we can start today's training," Antonio said.
Both of the twins groaned before walking inside to put their backpacks down and coming back out. They picked up their training swords and walked over to where their parents were standing.
"We thought that you two could train against each other today," Mia said.
Matthew and Gianna faced each other and got into fighting stances, but before they could start their training for the day, they heard some rustling in the trees. This confused all of them because no one really comes over to that area of the forest. They all looked at each other.
"Stay back," Antonio instructed the kids and moved closer to the rustling. Mia moved protectively in front of the kids. As Antonio got close to the rustling in the bushes, a Nighlok jumped out. Antonio moved back to his family. "Everybody! Inside!"
The four of them ran inside as the Nighlok started firing at them. Antonio and Mia took their kids into the house and ran over to a shelf that was in the living room. Mia grabbed the box that they kept there.
"What's going on?!" Gianna asked. "Why is there a monster attacking us?!"
"It's a Nighlok," Mia corrected.
"Monster, Nighlok, whatever!" Matthew exclaimed. "Why is it attacking us?!"
"You two know about the samurai rangers, right?" Antonio asked.
"Everyone does, but what does that have to do with anything."
"Because we were two of the samurai rangers," Mia said and opened the box which revealed the gold samurai morpher, the pink samuraizer, the claw zord, the octo zord, and the turtle folding zord.
"WHAT?!" the twins exclaimed.
"This is some sick joke, right?" Matthew said. "You guys can't be samurai rangers."
"After all this time, you tell us your big secret WHEN WE'RE BEING ATTACKED!" Gianna said.
"It was for your own protection," Antonio said.
"But now it's your turn to be samurai rangers," Mia said and handed the twins the morphers and zords.
"What?!" Gianna asked. "We can't be rangers!"
"What do you think we've been training you both for?" Antonio asked.
Matthew and Gianna looked at each other before taking the morphers and zords.
"You both need to go to the Shiba house and tell Mentor Ji who you are and what happened," Mia instructed.
"The Shiba house?" Gianna asked.
"Mentor Ji?" Matthew asked.
"Yes," Mia said. "Now go!"
"What about you?" Gianna asked. "We can't leave you here!"
"Listen to your mother," Antonio said. "Now go!"
Matthew and Gianna ran out of the back door of the house and ran as far as they could, using the forest to their advantage to lose a few moogers that ended up following them. They kept running until they were sure that no one was following them.
"I think we're in the clear," Matthew said.
"What do we do?!" Gianna asked. "We don't know what those Nighlok monsters are planning on doing to our parents and they told us to go to the Shiba house and we don't even know where that is!"
"Calm down. We'll find it." Matthew thought for a minute. "What about Adrian? He has always loved when we learned about the samurai rangers in school. Maybe he knows something."
"If I remember correctly, rangers aren't supposed to reveal their identities. It could put him in danger!"
"We don't really have a choice right now."
"Ok. Fine."
The two of them started heading to Adrian's house. He gave them his address once when they had wanted to sneak out to go hang out with him, but they were caught by their parents. When they got there, Matthew knocked on the door. Adrian opened it.
"Matthew! Gianna! I thought your parents weren't going to let you come tonight," Adrian said.
"Something happened and we need your help," Matthew said.
Adrian noticed the panicked look on his friends' faces. "What's wrong?"
Matthew and Gianna looked around to make sure no one else could see them. "This," Matthew said as he and Gianna showed Adrian their morphers. Adrian's eyes widened.
"What's going on?" a man wearing a blue shirt and jeans asked as he walked over to his son at the door. He looked at who was at the door and what they were holding and was in disbelief. "Honey, you might want to come over here."
A woman wearing red and white striped shirt, a jean skirt, and leggings walked over to the door with their daughter, Juliet. Both of them are shocked seeing the morphers.
Matthew and Gianna looked at each other and are confused about the way that they're all looking at them. "Why are you all looking at us like that?" Gianna asked.
"Because you're not the only next generation samurai rangers here," Adrian said and him and both him and Juliet pulled out their samuraizers which made Matthew and Gianna's eyes widen.
A/N: I hope you enjoyed!
