I don't normally do cold opens as they were, but this one sent to me was too funny not to use. Credit to the user Cathy-Ann for this: "Harry woke up but Ron was stil asleep, but when Harry got dressed Ron woke up gave Harry a dirty look and Harry snapped. He took dean s wand from dean and cast AVERDA KADAVA and a yellow light came out and struck Ron, not killing him but turning him into a dwarf." May add this to a deleted scene chapter one day.

Also a lot of you are saying "Harry isn't like this in canon" Did I ever say this was canon compliant?

"So, 'Arry Potter, tell me about yourself." Fleur asked him with a raised eyebrow and an imperious tone.

"Well, er, Fleur, where to start?" Harry asked, nervously laughing as he spoke. He still had no idea what the older champion wanted with him, why she had sought him out.

"Why don't you start at ze beginning?" Fleur said with a smirk. "I find zat helps a lot."

Harry didn't know what it was, whether it was the fact this was somebody who didn't know him, and seemed to have no preconceptions of him, or whether it was just that she was a beautiful older girl and he was a hormonal teenager, but Harry felt his mouth open and the stories start to spill to Fleur.

"It all started when I first got here, to the Wizarding world."

"When you first got here? Didn't you always live in the Wizarding world?" Fleur queried.

"No, I didn't even know about magic until my Eleventh birthday." Harry told her.

"How?" Fleur asked, flabbergasted. "What is Dumbly-dorr doing, not telling you about zat?"

"I was raised by Muggles." Harry explained. "When I first got here, I didn't know all the strange stuff that happened to me was magic, I was just confused and alone until I found Hogwarts."

"So, you knew nozzin about anything?" Fleur's eyes widened in shock.

"No." Harry admitted with a rue smile. "First time I ever met another magical, and knew they were one, was when they came to my house, gave my cousin a pig tail and told me I was a wizard."

"Well, zat is a surprise." Fleur said simply, as she looked away from him and towards the lake, watching as the sun began to dip in the sky, and the Giant Squid lazily raised a tentacle above the waves, basking in the ever disappearing rays of the sun.

"Did you come out here, expecting some sage wizard prodigy who would know spells more advanced than even your own headmistress, purely due to some event that happened when I was a child?" Harry asked her, curious to know why she had sought him out, and remembering the calculating looks she had given him the night before when the champions had been chosen.

"I must admit, I was not sure what I would see with you, 'Arry Potter." Fleur admitted. "I was curious and how do you say, fascinated by the idea of you, especially when your name came out as my rival for this year."

"You know, I hadn't thought of the three other champions as my rivals, I just figured I wanted to lie more than anything else, with my luck, it will be deadly." Harry grumbled.

"What does zat mean?" Fleur questioned. "What do you mean, it will be deadly? A challenge, oui, but deadly?"

"Look, I'd like to tell you, I would, but I don't want to be accused of trying to sabotage the Beauxbatons champion by traumatising them." Harry told her with a small grin as Fleur turned to him, affronted, before seeing his smile.

"Oh, is that true? Maybe I can tell you stories, 'Arry Potter, stories zat will curl your toes." Fleur said, with a sly smirk as Harry gulped at the look she gave him.

"What stories could you tell me, Miss Delacour?" Harry asked, with a hint of nervousness. What could possibly have happened in Beauxbatons that she would think he would be scared? It hit Harry that this was the longest he had spoken to a woman apart from Hermione really. Other than school work, he hadn't really bothered with the fairer sex in school. Even Sirius, who had tried all summer to get Harry to embrace the nature his father would have instilled in him, had only partially succeeded in getting Harry to begin to express any romantic feelings at all.

"Oh, I don't know, Monsieur Potter." Fleur purred, as Harry caught her gaze. "Maybe I will tell you about the time there was an attack on the school by ze Dark Lady Gabrielle."

"The Dark Lady Gabrielle? I don't think I've heard of her?" Harry questioned, a bit confused.

"Oh, she is terrible." Fleur told him with a serious look on her face. "She has terrorised my family for a decade now, and if anything, she will only grow worse in the future." She said.

"That's terrible, why isn't the French Ministry trying to stop her? Do you need any help?" Harry asked, confused.

"I'm afraid they can't do much to her, she has powerful friends in the Ministry." Fleur said with a sigh, as Harry felt his heart go out to her.

"Well, how do you plan to stop her?"

"Well as she is my younger sister, I zink I can handle her." Fleur said, laughing as Harry figured it out and scowled at her.

"That wasn't funny." Harry pouted as Fleur continued to laugh at the look on his face, a melodic chiming as she giggled that made Harry's stomach do somersaults.

"You should see the look on your face." Fleur told him as he groaned.

"I hate you." Harry told her with a mock smirk as she pretended to look offended.

"Moi? Why, I have never been more offended, Monsieur Potter." Fleur winked. "I demand satisfaction."

"In what way?" Harry asked, wondering what Sirius would say if he could see him flirting with a woman right now.

"I can zink of a few things." Fleur purred, casting her eyes over Harry's lithe frame. "Though, perhaps you can help me decide?"

"Well, how can I refuse an opportunity to, how did Professor Dumbledore put it, extend a hand of friendship and co-operation was it?" Harry smiled as Fleur beamed back at him.

"I figured you would be a challenge, when I saw you in ze hall last night, 'Arry Potter." Fleur informed him. "But I wonder how fun it will be to break you?"

"Break me?" Harry asked with a little scoff. What did Fleur think, the sight of a beautiful woman and he would be scared? Sure, he was a little nervous, even now, with Sirius' summer of 'training' as he called it, in him, but Harry had faced numerous life or death situations and come out of them, he knew the other Champions wouldn't scare him.

"Oh, there are many ways I could break you, leetle boy." Fleur giggled, grinning as Harry scowled at her. "But, I zink you shall learn every single way, eventually." She winked at him.

'Perhaps I'll look forward to it.' Harry thought to himself. It was definitely going to be a long year.
