Chapter 2
Hello New World
The sun was barely out when Alena regained her consciousness.
In an open area, she leaned against a tree, gripping at the lean solid stick as she stared at the orange sky.
Alena didn't know what to react after knowing everything that happened last night was real.
Alena was a realistic girl who grew up in a pretty much normal and peaceful environment.
Despite the bad apples around her, Alena thought of herself as someone who isn't a bad person, nor a saint, but overall, she thinks of herself as a neutral party.
And of course, as someone who lived in a peaceful world, she has a hobby of reading novels, watching anime or movies in her free time.
So, this situation wasn't that hard to accept despite how unbelievable it is.
She was in another world.
There was no mistaking it, because, through the gap of those dense clouds above.
Alena could see the moon that hung in the orange sky. The moon was broken.
In a more sense, the left half of the moon was still the same as she last remembered, but a large portion of the right side had shattered, and the pieces floated about as though held in place by the moon's own gravitational force.
The sight was quite absurd that it took Alena more than a few reasons why she should believe she's in another world to fully accept her situation.
As much as it sounds ridiculous this other world thing, human kind still yet to have the capability to destroy a big portion of a planet. Unless this world is that certain Anime where a whole class becomes an assassin to kill the one who's responsible for their moon's destruction.
Whether this was some sort of a vivid dream or not, Alena's rational mind ticked.
From what she analyzed through her surroundings, she was in a forest full of lively trees and wild animals or monsters from those faint howls she often kept hearing while briefly scouting the area.
This was a danger zone, Alena grimly mentally noted, straightening her back as she heard another howl in the distance.
'Wolves?'
As much as Alena wanted to know whether the owner of that howl is friendly or not, she didn't stay idly and continued walking on her chosen path.
The wind was cool as she carefully walked on the grassy ground, avoiding the sticks and branches in order not to create tracks behind her.
Even though she's inexperienced, she knew hunters of the forest track their prey using those as well.
Why? Because as she noted, this was a whole new world. Meaning, it is unknown.
For all she knows, there's a territorial people or beast people that don't like trespassers that go into their territory and worse, kill her in sight.
So far, till the sun was in the middle of the sky, hinting that it is afternoon, no one had yet to appear and kill her. Which she is glad for but, at the time, alarmed.
'Are they watching?' Alena thought, pursing her lips as she glanced at the side, watching for any movements that could hint a life.
Whether it was her sight and senses failing her or they were just good at hiding, no life had yet to be sighted in her range.
It was literally nerve wracking as she tried to be as calm as she could.
Will they strike her once she lets her guard down?
Just how long does she have to walk till she gets into a civilization?
Clutching the stick in her hand a bit tighter, Alena continued to walk under the intense glare of the sun.
Hopefully, things wouldn't get any worse than this.
.
Not even a day has fully passed, and she was already dead wrong.
Why?
Because, it fucking got worse.
In front of her, was an abnormal scene that looked like it came out from a fictional plot story of someone.
A burning village.
Not just some burning town, those grouped people that looked like the natives of this village were fighting those people wearing different bandana and black western clothes with a strange emblem of a skull impaled by a spear.
What was more of the absurdity of the scene was those people from both sides just literally blocked or dodged bullets and swords with their own body while fighting like some super humans wearing the skin of normal people.
And did that woman just change her cane into a submachine gun? That old man with wrinkles, he just grabbed those two guys and threw them like, literally feet away!?
Okay...
Grimacing, Alena tried not to stare at the corpses that were starting to scatter around the area.
Looking over her shoulder towards the forest then at the burning village where she just saw a native man's skin became steel and charged at the invader out, knocking him towards the wall fence of the village, bursting it down with pure strength?
Taking a sharp breath, Alena grimly turned around.
'Yeah... I'm out of here.'
Some can say this is a cold-hearted thing since they were people that may need her help in there but, she was no super soldier that could fight those armed superhuman like people and save others like a hero.
She was just a girl that fell into this new world without such things as cheats.
Just as she was about to take a step but, a raspy voice spoke near her position.
"Well, well, well." A one eye man with dark brown messy hair chuckled behind that dark brown bandana tied around his neck.
Walking towards her with a black spiked mace, resting on his shoulder, he grinned showing his pale-yellow crooked teeth.
"What do we have here?"
Fuck.
