3 weeks later at Jack's cabin
Sam thinks back on the past 3 weeks they had definitely been the happiest 3 weeks of her life and now as she looks at the 2 blue lines on the pregnancy test in her hand she knows she will never regret breaking the rules.
Sam looks down she places her hand on her still flat stomach and says miracle our little miracle.
She grabs the test and runs it in to the kitchen where Jack was supposed to be making breakfast.
Instead Jack was on his phone.
Jack says I'm sorry I put my paper work in I want out sir.
the president says Jack I know the OIA and the joint chiefs have excepted your resignation but
there has to be something I can do to change your mind I still haven't signed off on this it's not too late to change your mind.
JACK tiredly says sir it's time for me to be done I honestly can't stand the thought of sitting be hind a desk for the rest of my life and the OIA'S bull shit has crossed my line for the last time I can't and won't play nice with them any more.

Sam stands in the doorway practically bouncing with anticipation she can't wait any longer she sends Jack a image of a old fashion baby carriage.
Jack abruptly looks up at Sam in confusion she is standing in the doorway with a Knowing smile she walks over to him and hands Jack the test.
Jack looks at the test completely confused his eyes go wide as he sees what it is and he freezes then he smiles as if she just handed him a million dollars.

Jack smiles and says no Sir I'm still here I just got some news about colonel Carter.
The president says Jack really we all are sorry about Carter I know things are difficult right now but that's no reason to Quit on me.

Jack yes sir she told me the OIA put her on indefinite leve and to day she just agreed to marry some old retired General in Minnesota.
At this Jack pulls a small black velvet box from his pocket and places it on the counter in frunt of Sam.
She reaches for the box and opens it in side she finds a beautiful in set diamond and emerald engagement ring.
Sam looks up at Jack with tears in her eyes and nods yes.
The president says holy Shit Jack is she there with you.
Jack says what does it matter I resigned I'm purdy much a civilian now.
The president says God dammit Jack I need to know if Colonel Carter is there with you and if she is safe.
Jack confused says sir she's here and safe do you want to talk to her.
The president says hell yes I want to talk to her, At this Jack puts the phone on speaker.
Sam says I'm here mister president.
The president says thank God it is good to hear your voice Colonel I need to know are you safe.
Sam says I'm safe as houses sir Jack would never let any thing happen to me.
The president says and how long have you been with The Genaurl.
Sam then looks at Jack and nervously says sir we left the Pentagon to gether about 3 weeks ago.
The president says and have you been with the Genaurl the hole time.
Sam says to be honest sir he hasn't been more then 20 feet away from me in the past 3 weeks.
SAM says has some thing happened sir.
The president says yes Colonel some one used a weapons grade explosive to blow up your car in your driveway and sence know one knew where you where you where presumed dead or missing Landry has had the CIA and over sight investigating.
Sam says I'm sorry sir we had know Idea Jack was teaching me how to fish and our cell phones fell in the lake about 2 weeks ago we only found Jacks yesterday and I just now got it up and running.
The president laughs and says oh I see fishing is that what there calling it now in my day we called it something different.
Sam Quickly says yes sir fishing.
The president says Colonel do me a favor and call General Landry and let him know your all right, And you're to report to the Sgc for duty at 0600 tomorrow morning I have a time critcal mission for you.
Sam Quickly says sir I will not be cleared for active duty for at least 9 months or so.
The president says dam it Colonel are you telling me that in less then a month O'neal has not only convinced you to mairy him but has managed to get you pregnant god dammit Jack you not only cost me my best scientist for 9 months or more but a case of 80 year old scotch.
At this Jack Chuckles and pulls Sam in to his arms and says I'm sorry sir dut what can I say sir when I go after a target I move Quickly.
Sam smiles and says I'm afraid I was considering resigning as well That way we both can work as private consultant's.
The president says hold on if your resigning colonel why is Jack.
At this Jack gets mad and jumps in and says sir with all due respect I missed out on a lot of my son's life due to work and then I lost him that is not happening this time and I'm shere as hell not missing anything to deal with the OIA.
Sam says we where hoping to still work with SGC as independent contractors like Daniel, We would still take orders and still go on missions we would just pick and choose the projects we work on and Jack can still consult as an advisor or even take a mission now and then.
The president says how about this kids I will have Carter's paper work processed for the day be for she got back to earth, That way she doesn't get court-martialed for braking OIA rep Simon's hand or any thing els after and Jack you come back as a general for the 6 months remaining in my term I will even allow you to work out of the Sgc.
Jack and Sam look at one a nother.
Sam nods.
Jack ok sir but if Simon's grabs her ass again I get to kill him.
Sam says I can take care of my self.
The president says I don't think Simon's is going to be up to grabbing anything any time soon you not only broke 2 bone's in his hand but 3 fingers.
The president goes on to say now my wife would like to offer you her assistants with planning the wedding and the use of the white house gardens for the ceremony and reception.
Sam says that sounds great but we wanted to get married sooner than later.
Jack jumps in and says like next weekend.
The president says I believe that's doable I will make a few calls and see what I can do Jacob was a good friend of mine I owe this to him .
At that Sam tearfully says thank you sir.
The president says I have to go kids you call Landry ok.
They Both say yes sir.
Once the president hung up with them
Jack looked at Sam who is now crying and clinging to him.
Jack kisses her forehead and says you ok.
As she rests her head on his shoulder Sam says ya I just seam to be a bit emotional right now.
Jack says it's ok do you want me to call Landry for you.
Sam says no I'll do it I just hope we don't have to go back to day.
Jack if we have to go we will go to gether now I'm gonna get breakfast going and you go make Landrys day I have a feeling that he just won a case of 80 year old scotch tell him I want at least 1 bottle of it.
Sam smiles and heads out to the deck with Jack's cell phone she Quickly dials Landry's number he picks up on the first ring.
Landry says Jack I have been trying to get a hold of you.
Sam says no sir it's Carter the phone goes quiet.
Landry says Colonel Carter is that you are ok and are you with General O'Neill.
Sam says yes we just got off the phone with the president he told us what happened I'm sorry you couldn't get in touch with us the cell phones accidentally went in the lake and we still haven't found mine.
Landry says with all thats happened are you sure you are ok colonel.
Sam say yes sir I do have to inform you that I'm pregnant and that according to the deal the president just made with us my resignation is to be processed for the day be for I arrived back on earth.
Landry says please please tell me Jack's the father Sam laughs and says yes sir the president was also not happy to find out that we are also engaged.
Landry says hot dam colonel you just won me a case of 80 year old scotch.
Sam says yes sir Jack wanted me to tell you that one of those bottles belongs to him.
Landry laughs and say I was planning on giving you guys the case as a wedding present.
Sam laughs thank you sir but I wanted to talk to you about something else I was hoping to be able to still work with Sgc as a civilian contractor I know those contracts are under your purview.
Landry says that's a great idea you put to gether a contract with a list of projects your intrested in and bring it in with you when you come in to sign your final paperwork, At this Landry gets aserious tone Carter we also need to talk about what happened at your house, I'm sure Jack will want to be with you when the CIA interviews you Carter that will need to happen soon.
Carter says yes sir I was just hoping to put it off a bit longer Jack and I will head back today.
Landry says tomorrow will be fine besides
Dr. Jackson and Teal'c will be back in a few hours I know they will be relieved to know you are alright,
I suspect I'll have my hands full trying to keep them from driving up there tonight to see you in person.
Sam says go ahead and let them come we have missed them and sir we want to tell them our news in person.
Landry says any thing that gets you and Jack back at the Sgc I'm on board with.
