When Sakura returned home she was about to enter through the window, when she felt something was off.
A cold sweat began to drip down her sizable forehead. She could smell something metallic in the air.
No, no, no, no, no..
The pinkette bolted in through the front door.
"OKAA-SAN OTOU-SAN, PLEASE BE ALIVE!"
Tears were streaming down her face and she was sobbing into the bodies of her murdered parents. It looked like it had been a robbery gone wrong.
"I-I'm s-sorry for taking you for granted. I need you. I swear I will get whoever did this!" She was howling and it sounded demonic.
Chakra spiked, and then for a split moment roots came bursting out of the ground only to recede into nothingness.
Spending the last few moments with her parents bodies, the rose haired kunoichi put a D-rank genjutsu over herself and went to her sensei's apartment. She had known where he was due to being a strong sensor.
*knock knock*
"Listen, Genma, the poker game isn't till. 9pm- Sakura-chan, what are you doing here?
Kakashi narrowed his eyes and immediately saw through the genjutsu. He saw blood all over her appearance.
"Sensei, my parents are dead..they were murdered. It looked like a robbery gone wrong, please you have to believe me! You can't let the murder get away with this. I don't know who else to go to. Please help me!"
Without a word Kakashi summoned all his ninken.
"Alright, Sakura-chan I'll help you. But you'll stay here and recover. It's been a long day. You can use my shower and borrow some of my clothing."
After those words, Kakashi-sensei body flickered away along with his ninken.
Showering and changing into other clothing was easy. It was the was falling asleep part that was a challenge.
She couldn't get the thought of having dead parents out of her head. Naruto was an orphan and Sasuke was too. She felt awful being so mean to her parents when they were only trying to do what was best for her.
And the mokuton? Sakura was a Haruno and not a Senju..unless..
For now sleep..
What time is it? And why do I feel dog's licking my face?
"Good Morning Sakura-chan!"
"I caught the murderer. His name is Tamaki Fujioka and he's a wanted criminal. It didn't take long at all. Your family wasn't the only one so, all the other's can rest at peace now."
"T-thank y-you sensei. This means everything to mean."
"Maa--you're welcome, we should really get going or we'll be late to the survival training."
"Shannaro! Let's go!"
Survival Training:
"Hi folks, good morning!" Kakashi cheerfully went on
"YOU'RE LATE!" screamed Naruto
"Why is Sakura with you? Are you getting special training?" Sasuke rudely asked
"N-no, that's not it." Sakura mumbled
"Well, a black cat crossed our paths, you see.."
"Ahem, oh well.."
From Kakashi's pocket he took out a clock.
"Okay, it's set for 12:00"
"Today's assignment is to take these two bells away from by noon. Those who can't do it won't get lunch. They get tied to a stump and I'll eat my lunch before your eyes."
Sakura was thinking intently..why two bells? Why not three?
"There's only two bells so one person will have to be tied to the log"
You won't be able to to take the bells unless you come with the intent to kill."
Naruto began laughing, "Yeah, sensei, it's dangerous. You couldn't even dodge that chalk board eraser."
Kakashi spoke up once more. "Class clowns are usually the weakest links, lowest scores, and are losers."
Sakura felt Naruto's chakra spiked and he charged in.
"Ah, ah, ah, I didn't say go yet." Kakashi chastised.
"Now, GO!
Sakura the whole time and been thinking the meaning of the lesson. It had to be none other than team work. Before Naruto could do anything stupid, she dragged Naruto off with her into the bushes. She'd find Sasuke later.
"Naruto, listen to me, this whole exercise. It's TEAMWORK."
"Sakura-chan, how can be so sure?"
"Kakashi-sensei is a jonin. He was anbu and graduated the academy at a early. There's no way to beat him!."
"There's no way I'm working with that bastard."
"Naruto, please, do this for me! Look, I haven't been the nicest to you, but now I want to make a change."
Naruto deflated and gave in.
"Alright, let's go find Teme!"
Sakura and Naruto heard groan and saw Sasuke was in the ground. Only his head and neck were visible.
Sakura and Naruto snickered
"What do you two want?" Sasuke was furious
"Listen, Sasuke, we need to work as a team. Right, Naruto?"
Naruto nodded his head
"How do I know you two won't just take the bells from me?"
"Look, Sasuke I want to do this as a team. You don't have to like us but we need to do this together!"
"Let's go, Dattebayo!"
"Hn..Fine.."
Time was almost up
Sasuke came charging in with a fire jutsu and Naruto came in with a hundred clones. Little did Kakashi know that Sakura was disguised as a Naruto clone.
Just as the timer went off Sakura and gotten the bells
"It's either you take all of us or none of us!"
"Believe it!"
"That's right.."
Kakashi had a stern look on his face.
"YOU GUYS...PASS!"
"We're ninja! Let's go out for ramen guys!" Naruto was cheering
"Come on, Sasuke.." Sakura said
"Only if Kakashi is coming with us. " Sasuke said monotonly
The four of them went out for ramen that night. Maybe this team wouldn't be so bad afterall..
