Chapter 2, enjoy! I'm so glad it's now summer break because I have several new fic ideas, but I have to finish some current fics first.
Thank you all for your great response to the first chapter!
"Ok, I'm going on to school to get ready for enrollment. Julie, don't be late," Tami announced as she placed her breakfast dishes in the sink.
"I won't be late," Julie reassured her mom.
"Bye RaeLynn," She said as she gave the infant in Julie's arms a kiss on the head. "Bye Tim. See you in a little bit Jules," She added as she grabbed her purse and left.
"Ugh, I don't want to go," Julie grumbled as she took a seat at the bar beside Tim. "I don't want to leave her."
"I know you don't want to leave her Jules, but it's just for a few hours," Tim stated.
"But next week it will be all day."
"So we cross that bridge when we get there," Tim replied. "You need to get ready, so I will take her," He added standing up and taking Raelynn from Julie. Julie also stood up from her seat and disappeared down the hall and into her and Tim's room.
RaeLynn dropped her pacifier out of her mouth and began crying.
"How am I supposed to leave her all day when I can't even leave the room?" Julie stormed out of her room and asked, visibly flustered.
"Calm down, she just dropped her pacifier," Tim responded. Julie bent down and grabbed the dropped pacifier and rinsed it off in the kitchen sink. "Relax, it will be fine," Tim added when Julie handed him the pacifier back. "Remember what we talked about yesterday?"
"That I need to finish school for her, yeah I remember," Julie answered. "But Tim, I don't want to leave her."
"You need to go back to school, for you and her. It will just be for a few hours," Tim replied. Julie sighed and returned to their room to get ready. Tim followed Julie into their room, RaeLynn balanced on his hip. He sat on the edge of the bed and watched as Julie searched for her day's outfit.
"I don't even know what to wear," Julie stated as she dug even further into her drawer.
"It doesn't take a rocket scientist to pick out an outfit," Tim smarted off.
"Ok then smart ass-"
"Don't cuss around the baby."
"I'm sorry Rae Rae. If your dad was nice, I wouldn't cuss."
"Sorry Jules, I'll be nice now."
"As I was saying... Maybe you could actually help me figure out what to wear instead of sitting there running your mouth."
"And like I said, I will be nice now."
"Good. So what should I wear?" Julie asked. "Grey shirt or blue tank top?" She added, holding up the two shirt choices.
"I'm going to have to say the grey shirt, cause I won't be there to scare off the guys who hit on you cause of how hot you'll look in that tank top," Tim replied.
"I thought you weren't going to run your mouth," Julie said as she sent Tim a glare.
"Sorry," He apologized with a smirk. "I dunno, you'll look good in both of them."
"Grey shirt it is then," Julie decided as she put the tank top back in the drawer. "This is like the first time I've dressed up for anything besides church since she was born."
"Well, you will look beautiful," Tim told her, causing her to blush. "I'm going to miss seeing your pretty face during the day," He added which caused the giddy smile on Julie's face to disappear. "What is it?" He asked when he noticed her sudden change in demeanor.
"You won't be at school with me, it's just now really soaking in," She explained. "And Tyra and Lyla won't be there either. And with East reopening who knows what my class will be like. Now I really don't want to go to school..."
"Just go and see who all is at enrollment today, it will be fine."
"I need to be leaving anyway," She stated when she saw the time on her alarm clock.
"Bye," Tim said as he stood up to give Julie and sweet kiss.
"Bye," She replied after kissing him back. "Bye RaeLynn," She told her daughter as she tickled her stomach causing the baby to erupt into laughter.

"Oh my gosh, Julie!" A girl's voice squealed in the West Dillon lunch room.
"Hi Sarah," Julie replied as the girl approached her. She gave the girl, whom she wouldn't consider a good friend, more like an acquaintance, a side hug.
"How are you?" Sarah asked. "I haven't seen you all summer."
"Good, I've been pretty busy," Julie simply answered.
"Oh yeah, you had a baby! I forgot. I'm sure you have been busy."
"Yeah," Julie replied with a smile, hoping to get out of the awkward conversation very soon. "Uh have you seen Landry around?" Julie decided to asking, changing the conversation.
"I heard he is going to East because of the way the zoning worked," Sarah answered. It was like a punch to the gut. Her only real friend would be attending the other school in Dillon. Now Julie had even more reason to dread school next week. She sighed as she unenthusiastically stood in line to get her class schedule.

Back at the Taylor house, Tim had the ESPN channel on with the sound as low as it could go, while still being able to hear it. The house was almost dead silent, with the exception of the low chatter on the TV.
There was a heavy knock on the door that interrupted the near silence. The loud noise startled Tim's sleeping daughter causing her to erupt into a fit of tears. Tim grumbled as he got up from the couch to tend to RaeLynn in the nursery.
"Who is it?" He shouted to the person behind the door.
"Billy," The person, Tim's brother, shouted back.
"It's unlocked," Tim yelled as he headed down the hallway and into the nursery. The door twisted as Billy let himself in the house.
"Did I wake her up?" Billy asked as he followed Tim into the nursery.
"Yeah," Tim replied as he held RaeLynn and tried to get her to stop crying.
"My bad. Where is Julie?"
"School enrollment."
"Ah, I forgot that was today," Billy responded. "Here, let me see my favorite niece," He added taking RaeLynn from Tim. Tim smiled at the adorable sight of his brother holding his daughter.
"So, did you need something?" Tim asked.
"I brought you your suit for Saturday," Billy told his brother. Tim's eyes got wide when he realized his brother's wedding was in merely two days.
"You forgot didn't you?"
"Time just got away from me," Tim answered.
"Such a great Best Man," Billy joked. "You have your speech written and everything right?" Tim shook his head no as a response. In typical Tim Riggins fashion, he kept putting off writing his Best Man speech.
"You better get on that little brother," Billy stated. Suddenly the brother's conversation was interrupted by the slamming of the front door. Billy and Tim both furrowed their raised their eyebrows out of curiosity and headed towards the living room to see what was going on. A visibly upset Julie had entered the house, hence the reason for the door slamming.
Abrupt ending, whoops! It was getting a little long, so there's a little bit of suspense. Until next time...
