*a few nights later, and two states over*
In a dark back alley a group of seven men wearing weird masks and black outfits are huddled among the dumpsters and litter with their sacks of loot; these six regular sized men and one hulking mountain of muscles had just broken into a bank after hours making off sacks of cash from the ATM machines, the vault, and a number of safe boxes. This crime however has not gone unseen for above them looking down from the rooftop is non other than that plucky young hero, ExZelia.
She leaps over the edge of the roof, hovering slowly down blocking the nearest exit to the street, "Gentlemen," she says with a smile as she crosses her arms trying to do her best impression of her mother, "I do believe that doesn't belong to you. You WILL surrender what you stole and...surrender yourselves...as well."
"Who the fuck..." starts one of the men.
"Some brat playing super hero," says the large man stepping forward.
He gives a big toothy smirk before leaping high into the air fist first. He misses ExZelia who dodges to the ground and back. As the large man lands she lunges forward and strikes him square in the chest. He barely moves backwards, chipping the concrete to ground himself, ExZelia is wide eyed, blinks, grits her teeth and lunges again. This time the man catches her punch in the palm of his right hand, chipping a little more concrete with his feet. He closes his fist griping ExZelia's fist tightly. She struggles to pull free.
"Kid's strong," says the large man mockingly, "I'd say...oh maybe seven to eleven or so times stronger than a kid her size should be."
He leans forward, his grin disturbingly wide and toothy right in her face, "But that ain't nothing compared to me, a hundred little girls ain't punching out the Brick Breaker."
As she struggles to pull free the other six men start to advance on her. She looks back and forth, breathing heavy, her irises flash with electric sparks.
"Stay back!" she screams as the alley is filled with bolts of lightning emanating from her body , the thunder is deafening, and the light blinding.
Still breathing heavily ExZelia stands there, electric sparks dancing across her body, her spiky hair, and a blue electric sigil in her left hand even as sparks flash around her still outstretched fist. The seven men are dead, their bodies smoking. She stands there a moment as the reality of what just happens sinks in.
"Oh no," she whispers as her eyes widen, "no, no, no...oh shit, no, no, damn it...I..I have to.."
She brings her fists together summoning a vertical white sigil between them, as she spins into the air she whispers, "Elementra Divine."
She floats in the air above the bodies and summons two great white intensely glowing sigils to her hands and forces them together in front of her as one.
She chants,
"By Maekonaka goddess of Nirvana,
By the Well of Souls and the stream of life
I call the flame of the phoenix and the will of creation!"
A bright light fills the fills the alley and the surrounding area as another massive white sigil appears above the buildings, slowly rotating.
ExZelia lifts her sigil to the air, "I beseech mercy and restoration! Return that which has been lost. Divine Revival!"
The sigil in the sky shoots down a bright beam of light that reflects off her sigil and illuminates the alley way. The burnt bodies regenerate. As the light clears ExZelia floats down,
"Good," says ExZelia watching their chests rise and fall, "they're breathing. The shock should keep regular humans out though, in the meantime."
She drags the bags of the money to the mouth of the alley, even as a lot of people who heard the thunder and saw the divine light show are gathering around. Some Police cars can be heard on their way. However ExZelia feels tired, and looking at her hands seeing blue dots of light starting to rise up from a blue aura around them, "not yet," she murmurs.
"Used to much mana," she thinks to herself as she waves to the people on the street forcing a smile.
She barely manages to fly to the roof top before her spiky silver hair turns to flat dark grey and her grey armored uniform turns into grey robes and a cape. A moment later she vanishes inside blue sparkling lights that kick up around her like a small cyclone. Reappearing inside a large room with a massive canopy bed with purple curtain, a large dresser, display case full of stuffed toys and dolls, and a large vanity mirror with chair and desk. She hufs on the floor a moment, "Prob...probably...did...didn't need, to...a shit...use a revive...THAT...strong, damn."
She barely manages to stand up before plopping onto the bed asleep.
-Scene 5:
A few hours later Maxima and Dabbler are in the very alley the fight took place in, the criminals have been arrested, and the super taken into special custody.
"What do you have?" asks Maxima as Dabbler is magically scanning the area.
"I'm clean, but you're free to examine me closer if you don't believe me," teases Dabbler.
Maxima sneers, "You know what I mean,"
"Yeah, yeah," says Dabbler, "well going by the testimonies of the witnesses, the criminals, the burnt bags of money, scorch marks on the walls her and of course my own flawless scans I'd say someone went over board with a lightning spell, freaked out after leaving the gang of bank robbers extra crispy so then went over board with a powerful healing spell...a revive spell...very advanced magic and not just a regular revive spell...something tingling with divine essence..."
Dabbler sneers at her scans, "We sure the witnesses said this was that kid we're looking for?"
"Yeah," says Maxima, "ExZelia, witnesses saw her leaving the alley and dropping the bags of money. Said she looked really tired though."
"I bet," says Dabbler, "not so sure this is a super, definitely not a regular Earth mage that's for certain."
