Episode 2: Family Reckoning Pt 2
Within his lab, Albedo along with his assistant Sucrose is experimenting with some artifacts. "Well, this is doing quite well, just needs a little push to make it work," Albedo said as something rocked the Knight's HQ building.
Sucrose felt skittish as she drops her glass flash to broke on the floor. "Mr. Albedo, something is wrong out there," she said as they feel the building shaking again. Suddenly the door swings open with Jean appearing before them.
"You two, get out into the streets now. We are being invaded," Jean said wielding her sword ready for action.
The two chemists look on with confusion. "Who is attacking us?" Sucrose asked to grab her Widsith catalyst book to prepare for a fight.
"Hilichurls, lots of Hilichurls crashing through all sides of the walls," Jean said as she runs outside with Albedo using a powerful Liyue based sword called the Summit Shaper.
"The Traveler mailed this to me in his travels through Liyue. I will put this to good use," Albedo said as the two go outsides to see hordes of ghoulish-looking Hilichurls attacking and killing people.
"Oh no, why do these Hilichurls look so undead?" Sucrose wondered as one of the grunts rushes towards her. She blasts it away with a blast of wind to knock it over the edge down below. More Hilichurls has gotten deep within the city and right up to the doorsteps of the Knight HQ building.
"This is madness," Albedo is cutting up a bunch of grunts with his sword. He slams his palm onto the ground to erupt several rows of stone spears to impale groupings of Hilichurls. "This is very familiar, could this be the work of the powerful artifact creating the Unbound. Zell Amulet," Albedo ponders overs as he is dodging incoming enemies.
He lunges his Summit Shaper into the chest of a rotting Hilichurl with foul blood oozing out its wound. Several grunts were about to leap onto Albedo but Sucrose manages to catch them in wind orbs making them float helplessly in the air.
"Thanks, Sucrose," Albedo conjures earth spikes and lob them into the floating enemies to impale them in the head and chest killing them quickly.
"No problem, this is getting out of hand. The city is overwhelmed with zombie-like Hilichurls. Where did they come from?" Sucrose wondered as the student and teacher hold back groups of undead monsters from getting close to the HQ building.
"It's the Zell Amulet that is doing this," Albedo said as Sucrose is alerted by this.
"I thought that was a myth," Sucrose said.
"It's very real because my master created it herself," Albedo said as Sucrose looks shocked by this.
Elsewhere Aether, Paimon, Kate, Eula, and Diluc are rushing back to the capital to see it's under siege by a large horde of undead Hilichurls. A path of destruction followed in their wake and many knights were killed defending the roads.
"This is awful," Paimon said as Aether looks down onto a dying knight.
"Honorary Knight, you have to stop them. They overwhelmed our defenses on the roads and the bridge," the knight said as he dies on the spot.
"We need to go," Eula said as they approach the bridge to see a ton of corpses littered all over the place. "What a bloodbath," she said as they approach the gates to see a ton of enemies killing knights and civilians alike.
"Time to put these fiends in their place," Diluc said to summons his Greatsword to enchant his blade with flames. He slams his blade onto the ground to unleash a sweeping flaming phoenix to burn through the squads of undead Hilichurls turning them all to piles of ash to clear the way.
They get to the front area which has been turned into a battlefield for they see a familiar face holding onto her claymore. "Aether, over here," Noelle said as he and Paimon look over to see their favorite maid knight.
"Oh Noelle, thank goodness you are okay," Aether said to go over to her as she is pretty beaten up with bloody cuts and bruises all over her body.
"I can say the same for you. Those monsters came out of nowhere and the whole city is besieged by this. They are led by a mysterious woman in full armor," Noelle said as Eula looks on with suspicion,
"Seriously, what did she look like?" Eula asked.
"Well Captain Eula, she was wearing blue and yellow armor. It looked very regal in appearance," Noelle said.
"That is Lawrence issue armor like in the old days. Where is she now?" Eula asked.
"Oh, Master Jean is tracking her down on the rooftops," Noelle said.
"Thanks," Aether said as Noelle nods her head.
"Glad to be of assistance. I will guard the gate and seal it to make sure no more monsters get in," Noelle said.
"Right, so what is the plan?" Paimon asked.
"I think we should split up and aid the knights. I and Diluc will go left and Eula and Kate will go right," Aether said.
"Got it," Kate said.
"I am okay with that," Diluc said.
"We will clear out the rot from these streets and help the people here," Eula said as the two groups go in opposite directions.
Diluc and Aether are seeing an undead horde destroying some buildings. One of the grunts was eating a dying female knight but ripping out her throat sucking up the red liquid into its mouth.
"Gross," Paimon said as Aether wields his Aquila Favonia to cut and slash into the zombies. He rolls out of the way of a lunging Hilichurl as he slashes its back letting out rotting blood onto the walls of broken buildings. Diluc lobs plumes of flames to catch several enemies on fire with Aether using his Wind Blade to supercharge the flames making it swirl intensely killing all the Hilichurls in front of him.
"These things are devouring the knights and people alike. Who made these things?" Diluc wondered as he sees a few undead Mitachurls wielding shields and blazing axes. "More nonsense," Diluc said as the Mitachurls spew out dark energy from their weapons to carve up the area around them.
The two men roll out of the way with Aether conjuring a big twister to gather up tons of grunts into its vortex. Diluc drives his claymore into the ground to summon a pillar of flames in the middle of the twister turning it into a flaming maelstrom.
The attack explodes to severely burn most of the Mitachurls as they seem to be unfazed by the large blast. "Gee, what is wrong with these monsters?" Paimon questioned as she sees them missing limbs and even heads but is faster and stronger than normal Mitachurls.
"Very troublesome," Diluc said as he cleaves a big Hilichurl in half via the waist with his Wolf's Gravestone. The top half falls on the ground and sickly blood gushing out of the exposed opening. One of the big monsters punches Diluc as he blocks the blow but the force of it launches him into a building's window.
"Master Diluc," Aether dodges incoming blows from a zombie Mitachurl. Aether slashes the limb off the large monster but it didn't flinch at all. "Not good," he rolls away from a charging tackle that smashes through the side of a building,
Brick and stone tossing onto the streets with the undead monster looming over Aether. "Gee, it just keeps coming," Paimon said as Aether dodges another hit. He slides between the legs of the monster to gather a few stone spikes above his head to aim for the Hilichurl. He prepares and lobs them at full speed to score all hits.
It gets pinned to the side of a building with each stone spear impaling deep into the rotting body killing it instantly.
Another undead Mitachurl knocks Aether onto the streets as it leaps at him. Diluc launches out of the window to sever the monster in half with rotting blood scattered onto the walls of a nearby building.
"You okay Aether?" Diluc asked to help the young swordfighter up.
"Yeah, thanks. Seems like this place is cleared up," Aether said.
"Better keep moving," Diluc and Aether keep going forward to confront the horde.
Elsewhere the two Lawrence sisters are battling rotting monsters with Kate launching ball lightning to zap several enemies at once. Eula enchants her blade with Cryo energy and tears through their bodies shedding blood on the streets. "Eat this," Eula lobs crystal swords to impale into the heads of the zombie monsters. She makes them explode seeing their heads burst out blood and grey matter.
Kate is evading swings from the Mitachurl's ax with her using Flute to cut down grunts and Samachurls. One of the Dendro Samachurls uses its magic to summon twisting vines to the streets blocking their pursuit. One of the Mitachurls covers their ax with flames to leap towards the sisters.
"Look out," Eula grabs Kate to rush away as the big monster slams its blade onto the ground unleashing a wave of flames. This attack set the vines on fire and casting the buildings around in flames.
"Thanks, big sis," Kate said as the two sisters regain their composure to keep pressing against the horde of monsters.
"No problem, we need to clear them out," Eula said.
"Indeed," Kate jumps over a Mitachurl and falls her blade into its head making it shake her off. The monster grabs her and slams her onto the street.
"Kate, leave her alone," Eula skirts around the blows of the monster and cut it down with her Skyward Pride. She releases several vacuum blades to slice through groupings of enemies as she leaps on top of a large Hilichurl to stab it in the head.
A Geo Samachurl conjures a stone spike above Eula as she moves away to dodge it. She is beside her younger sister to check if she is okay. "You okay Kate?" she asked to block incoming rock shards flying in their direction. She uses her large sword to block them from hurt.
"Yes, I am. Got a bit shaken up," Kate said as she's gathering electro energy above her head becoming ball lightning. She lobs it at the shaman but it manages to summon walls of stone to block it. "Shit," Kate said.
"Allow me to deal with this," Eula swiftly goes after the undead shaman with her slicing through the stone walls with her claymore like wet paper. She smashes through several walls to reach the Samachurl for it tries to prevent her pursuit with stone spikes. She dances around them like an expert and slashes through the zombie's body splitting it in half.
"Showoff," Kate said as she grabs her Flute and stabs a nearby grunt in the neck but it kept trying to bash her with its club. "Crap," she said as she kicks the Hilichurl away but it keeps trying to bash her head in.
"Damn it, my grandpa is capable of this. Launching an all-out assault on the capital city and smash almost all the defenses to dust," Eula worried about this as she is keeping her mind on the battle at hand.
A Stone Lawchurl smash through a building and kick Eula through the streets. She catches herself in mid-air and drives her blade onto the ground to slow herself down. She rolls out of the charging tackle of the huge Hilichurl and slashes its left leg.
The monster punches Eula with her trying to block it but the sheer force of the blow knocks her several yards away. Eula spits blood onto the stone cobble road as she uses her Skyward Pride to get herself back up.
"Oh man, I felt that," she thought as she braces to fight the powerful undead monster. The huge monster roars at her with animal-like fury. "These things are much stronger than normal. How did this happen?" she questioned.
"Make way," a familiar voice said as a large icy lance shoot from the sky and crash into the back of the huge Hilichurl. Rosaria lands in front of Eula with her Crescent Pike in hand. "Flopping on the ground like a fish," Rosaria snaps her fingers making her icy lance explode turning the zombie behemoth into a big pile of rotting gore.
"Thank you, Rose," Eula said as Rosaria helps her up.
"Yeah, yeah. Come on, we need to head deeper. More of these undead freaks are showing up like rats," Rosaria said as the three women move forward to confront more soldiers.
On top of the roofs, Seala looks on with glee in her eyes. "Oh, this nation will pay for turning their backs on the Lawrence clan. With blood and tears if necessary," Seala said as she felt a presence behind her. She turns around to see Grand Master Jean standing there with her sword pointed at her back.
"You are under arrest," Jean said as Seala looks upon her wielding her Royal Longsword.
"Oh, the blood of the ones who denied the Lawrence clan's rightful place so long ago. I will be more than happy to give Lord Drake your head," Seala said.
"Lord Drake, Eula's grandfather. So, it's true that the Lawrence Clan would want to take back Mondstadt. Eula," Jean said in a sorrowful tone.
"Eula and her sister will pay for their betrayal to their grandfather. After this attack, l doubt they have anywhere else to go," Seala said as Jean holds onto her sword preparing for a fight.
"You are wrong. Eula and Kate got good women, the people will come around soon," Jean said as Seala looks at her with deep amusement.
"You can't be so naïve. These people hate us and they will gladly want us dead including Eula and Kate. Once they find out who is behind the attack, they will demand blood and will ask for the sisters' heads. Then they will beg to come back to their grandfather's side," Seala said as Jean is upset by this as deep down this is a harsh truth about the people's thoughts. "Oh, did I hit a nerve?" Seala taunted as Jean goes in for the attack.
Both women cross blades as their battle begins with Jean noticing Seala is wearing armor similar to what the Lawrence clan were using eons ago. "Donning the armor of monsters," Jean said as Seala laughs at this.
"Oh, that is rich. If only you knew the truth," Seala said as Jean looks confused by this. "About what your god Barbatos and the sins he has committed under the command of the heavens like the dirty dog he is," Seala said as Jean looks offended by this.
"Lies," Jean said as she thrust her sword to unleash a beam of wind to push Seala off the roof. Seala grabs onto a pole on the side of the building to use to gain air to get back onto the roof. She uppercuts Jean in the chin to knock her onto her back. Seala lunges in with her blade aiming for her heart.
Jean rolls out of the path of her blade to engage in a pitch sword duel. Both women seem even with them dodging and striking each unable to overpower the other. They get into a blade bind as they trying to overcome the struggle.
"Oh, still so naïve. There are many truths in this world you can't handle like your god being involved with the destruction of an entire nation," Seala said as Jean still can't believe it but she felt a powerful sting in her heart.
"Stop lying to me," Seala sees Jean is losing her focus to take advantage of this. She binds Jean's blade and twists it out of her hands. The sword falls to the ground below as Seala shoves her electro-infused palm onto her chest and begins to shock her.
Jean screams in agony as Seala is laughing at this. "You know what I am saying has some truth behind it. Why are you hesitating,?" Seala releases a powerful electric blast to knock her into the streets below.
Jean crashes into a bunch of crates with her spitting blood from her mouth. "Shoot," Jean said as she leaps away to avoid an electro-blast from Seala. She goes for her sword as she makes a run for it. Seala is letting out multiple lightning bolts with Jean rolling out of the range.
She manages to grab her sword to deflect several bolts of lightning with swift blade work. She uses her Gale Blade and conjures mini windstorms to blow Seala away to knock her into a window. "Taste this," Jean engulfs her blade with Anemo energy and slashes the air releasing several wind crescents.
Seala's power explodes to destroy the building she was in and easily blocking all of Jean's energy attacks. Jean noticed her pulsing a purple aura around her body and she has no Vision anywhere on her body.
"What is going on here? You have no visions, how are you doing this?" Jean asked.
"I was given power and purpose by my master Drake Lawrence. My colleagues and I have been made to aid in him claiming this nation for the glory of the Lawrence Clan," Seala said as Jean is confused by this.
"This woman is mad," Jean said as Seala speed towards Jean for she sets up her Dandelion Breeze field. She traps Seala inside as the wind is cutting her up with Jean being unharmed by her attack. Jean shoots up Seala into the air via strong winds.
Seala is lifted high into the sky to begin charging up her next move. "Foolish move," Seala calls down a powerful lightning bolt to strike her wind field setting off a powerful elemental reaction able to severely damage Jean.
Seala looks on with glee to hear Jean's agony spread across the ruined roads. Seala lands beside Jean to see she has a bunch of burns all over her body.
"I have no time for you Jean, my beast will clear up the rest of the resistance within this city. Have fun," Seala said to leap away as Jean is struggling to get up.
"Shoot, I messed up that time," Jean taking her blade but is badly injured.
"Grandmaster Jean," Sucrose and Albedo came over to aid her. "I saw your fight but we were too late to help you," Sucrose said.
"It's okay, did you get the others to the church?" she asked.
"Yes, we help get the civilians to the church for safety," Albedo said.
"This is insane," Jean said as she tries to get up but falls onto her knees.
"Grand Master you are hurt, I need to get you the church and get Barbara to heal you," Sucrose said as they help her up.
"Yes, I need that," Jean said as Albedo help her along with Sucrose is covering their escape to the church.
Elsewhere Aether, Paimon, and Diluc went back to the front gate to help with Noelle defending it. "Well, it seems like this place is secured," Aether said as Noelle managed to close the front gate.
"Yes thankfully. No zombies are here," Noelle said as they see the gate is shaking from something heavy hitting it. "What is that?" she wondered as the gate bust open with a pair of blazing red eyes staring down Aether. "Aether, look out," Noelle dives in and knocks Aether to the side to summon her Geo barrier.
Suddenly a mist of grey dust sweeps over Noelle for something is happening to Noelle. "Noelle," Aether said with concern as the mist is bypassing her geo shield and turning her to stone.
"Oh no, Noelle," Paimon said sadly as the beast let out a piercing scream to turn Noelle into a pile of dust.
"Noelle!" both Paimon and Aether shouted in angry for Diluc lunges at them to pull the duo behind a broken wall.
"Calm down," Diluc said as he looks over to see it's a large beast takes the appearance of a 15-foot tall featherless rooster with dragon-like wings and a long scaly tail. A group of knights tries to stop it but the beast breathes a cloud of grey dust turning all of them into stone statues.
"Come out cowards, Lord Drake wants me to take out the trash here," the bird said in a scratchy voice.
"What is that thing?" Aether wondered.
"That is a Cockatrice, a powerful creature which can use its stone breath to petrify people, and it's irreversible," Paimon said as her voice is trembling from fear of the devilish-looking monster.
"Gee, a rooster from hell is fitting for it," Diluc said.
"Oh, I can smell royal blood. One of the royal houses that betrayed the Lawrence clan in their times of need. Master Diluc face the wraith of the Lawrence Clan and the deep betrayal of your family line," the Cockatrice said as it lets out a big roar that shakes the whole capital city.
"As if," Diluc said as he looks down to see Aether is upset by Noelle's death. "Keep yourself together, we need to head for the others and regroup," Diluc said.
"Damn it, this is insane," Aether putting himself together as they get behind cover to avoid the stone breath of the Cockatrice.
"Looks like it can bypass elemental shields but not solid objects. We better stick close to cover while fighting this monster," Diluc said as Aether nods his head.
"What is the plan?" Aether asked.
"Hit and run movements, strike it fast and hard but go back into cover to not be exposed," Diluc said as the Cockatrice smashes through the building to find them.
"Oh, the Maser Diluc and the Traveler as well. Prepare to become statues," Cockatrice shoots out a gust of grey dust with the two swiftly dodging it. Aether And Diluc appear on the sides to begin striking the beast with their swords.
Aether launches spikes of stone to hit the beast but his attacks bounced off. Diluc charges up flames through his Greatsword and slams hard into the side of the monster yet it takes very little damage. "What the hell," Diluc said as the devilish bird laughs at them.
"My skin is highly resistant against all forms of elemental damage. Keep trying, I will be amused," Cockatrice fires an orb of darkness to blast them away.
"Damn it, it's strong against all forms of elemental attacks," Aether said.
"This isn't good," Diluc said as they duck back into cover.
"Not at all, none of your strong attacks around do anything against it," Paimon said as Aether looks at Venti's statue near the church.
"Master Diluc, I got an idea," he said as they dodge an incoming orb of darkness to make a huge crater in the middle of the street.
"I am all ears at this point," Diluc said as they go to the next piece of cover.
"We will crush it with the statue of Barbatos," Aether said.
"The sisters are not going to like this," Diluc said.
"Better the city is safe than a bunch of nuns bitching about a broken statue later," Aether said as Diluc has a grim smile.
"Good point, come on. Let's get for the statue and get it there," Diluc said as Aether swings his sword to blow away the monster with a powerful gust of wind. it crashes into an abandoned building making it fall on top of it. The trio head for the statue with the Cockatrice unleashes a gust of wind to blow away the rubble to give chase.
"You can't run from me. I will not be stopped by a mere attack like that," Cockatrice said to spread gust of grey dust at them. Aether summons a boulder out of the ground to deflect the petrifying attack.
"That seems to work as a barrier," Aether made a mental note of this.
They go up the stairs with the Cockatrice leaping on top of a windmill to begin raining down several orbs of darkness to destroy sections of the city. The trio reaches the square where the statue is located and found Eula, Kate, Jean, Sucrose, Rosaria, and Albedo defending the church with piles of zombies littered across the open area.
"Oh, Aether and Master Diluc along with Paimon. You are okay, thank goodness," Eula said as she is covered with guts and blood from all the monsters she has stay protecting the church.
"We saw you were fighting that powerful monster," Albedo said.
"Yes, we have a plan to take it out. Its skin is very resistant to all elemental attacks and its stone breath can bypass elemental shields. We need to make the Barbatos statues land on top of it and crush it," Aether said.
"Gee, this is getting desperate but we need to save the city whatever the cost," Jean said as she is back in fighting strength to stand her ground.
"Yeah," Kate said as they noticed the big bird leap onto the square to let out a powerful shockwave to blow away everyone onto their feet.
"Gee, this is impossible. It just kept coming," Paimon said.
"Lord Lawrence will be happy with me if I killed the two members, the royalty who stabs his clan in the back, with your stone heads," Cockatrice said to spit orbs of darkness with them deflecting the attacks aside.
"Shit, we are out in the open here. No cover to block the stone breath," Kate said as Aether summons a large rock onto the ground to become a barrier to protect from the stone breath attack.
"Good thinking Aether," Eula said as the Cockatrice fires a gust of grey dust from its mouth. They got behind the large rock to not get hit.
"We need to take out the base of the statue. Diluc and Kate, you can use Overload to destroy the base," Jean said as they both nod their heads.
"I am on it," Kate said as the duo head for the statue.
"Sucrose, Rosaria, and I will hold the fort within the church. Making sure everyone is safe, good luck," Albedo said.
"Aether and Eula, you are with me protecting Kate and Diluc," Jean said.
"Alright," Aether said,
"I got your backs," Eula said as the three confront the large demonic rooster to stomp onto the ground to unleash shockwaves. They manage to dodge it but the shockwave destroys Aether's rock sphere.
"That is not good," Aether said as he leaps on top of the arcs around the statue to avoid a tackle from it. He jumps on top of the monster to drive his Aquila Favonia to begin hacking into its back. Cockatrice knocks Aether into the air as he lobs rock spikes to stun it.
Jean and Eula go in with their blades to crave into the skin of the beast. Eula leashes out with her crystal swords to impale into the back of the monster. Jean uses her Gale Blade to blow the monster into a pillar as the crystals let out powerful kinetic blasts delivering a powerful blow to the monster.
"Seems like Eula's crystal blades work since they use kinetic energy, not Cryo energy," Aether said as he noticed Kate setting electro marks on the sides of the statue.
Aether summons another boulder for him and the girls hide behind. The Cockatrice lobs its stone breath but it stomps its foot to unleash a shockwave about to destroy the stone sphere.
"Oh shit, roll out of the way," Aether said as they dodge the incoming breath with the shockwave destroying the barrier. They almost got out of the range of the stone breath but Jean's left arm got hit.
"Oh no," Jean's lower left arm got turned to stone. The beast lets out a powerful which triggers Jean's arm to explode to leave a bloody stump. Jean screams as she holds onto her severed limb with Aether putting up several geo spheres trying to hold the monster off.
"Crap, guys," Aether said as Kate finished marking the statue.
"Okay big guy. Do it now, overload this big ass statue," Kate said as Diluc nods his head to infuse his blade with flames.
"This ends here and now," Diluc slams into the statue to make a powerful overload elemental reaction destroying the base of the Barbatos statue. It falls and crushes the monster under its massive weight.
"My death will not delay the inevitable. Drake Lawrence will rule this nation and bring it to glory. There are other creatures stronger than me that serve our master. You will not survive it just like that maid knight," Cockatrice said as it finally dies with Aether looking sad by this.
"Noelle, shit," Aether said sadly reflecting on her death with the nun Victoria coming out of the church to see the destruction. She heard what the monster said as she is quite angry with Eula.
"I knew you being part of the knights was a bad idea. You have brought nothing but misfortunate onto our lands. You are scum from a family of scum," Victoria said as Rosaria came in and kicks her in the head knocking her down.
"Do not dare treat Eula like shit. She just aided the others in saving the city and this is how you thank her. You make me sick," Rosaria said with such venom and bile making the nun almost piss herself in fear from Rosaria's wraith.
"Rose," Eula said to feel the warmth within her heart to see her best friend sticking up to her. Everyone coming out of the church with the threat long passed to show deep scorn for Eula and Kate.
"This is all your fault for this," a male citizen said.
"So, the Lawrence Clan has come back in force with monsters. Their evil knows no bounds," a female citizen said.
"Those girls are scary. They are part of that evil clan," a little girl said.
"Yes, my dear. They do not deserve to be here," the mother said.
"Grand Master Jean, those two cause this madness. Kick them out of the knights," someone said as the people are getting very angry trying to pressure Jean to make her decision.
"Jean," Eula looks on with pleading eyes to see Jean looks very worn out from the intense experience. The whole capital city is ruined and many people are dead from the attack. The people will not tolerate the two Lawrence sisters being in the knights anymore.
"Eula, I am sorry but you need to leave the knights for your own good," Jean said as Eula has deep betrayal etched onto her face.
"Jean, I thought you had my back," Eula said as Jean is saddened by this.
"Things have changed. The Lawrence Clan is a real threat now with your grandfather coming back with an undead army and powerful magical monsters under his command along with strong followers. This is my decision, you need to leave before the people would rip you apart," Jean said with hints of regret and sadness in her voice.
"Fine, I will go. Come on Kate, let's head back home," Eula said as Kate is deeply saddened by what just happened.
"Okay, see you back at the house big bro," Kate said as the two girls walk away in shame for the people of Mondstadt abandoned the sisters when they needed them most.
Aether, Paimon, and Rosaria are upset by the people and Jean's decision but Aether can understand they are shaken by the horrible event.
"As usual, the knights covering up their failures," Diluc is not happy with Jean's decision.
"Master Diluc, don't go there," Jean said as Diluc is not amused by this.
"Really because me, Aether, and the others along with Eula and Kate managed to stop the invasion while the knights get killed like sheep. How disgraceful you have thrown the girls under the rug," Diluc said.
"I am protecting them, the people will not tolerate them in the knights after this whole thing happened," Jean said.
"More like trying to save face, I am going with them," Diluc said to head with the girls.
"Me too, someone has to do the dirty work," Rosaria said to head off.
"I am going with them," Albedo said as Jean is surprised by this.
"I need all knights within the city," Jean said.
"There is something I need to look into. This is very important," Albedo said.
"Fine, keep them safe out there," Jean said to hold onto her severed limb.
"Of course, Sucrose let's go," Albedo said as she nods her head.
"Yes sir, why are we leaving the knights and joining the others?" she questioned,
"Because this Drake Lawrence has artifacts from my master and I need answers," Albedo said.
Eula and Kate can see Diluc, Rosaria, Aether, Paimon, Albedo, and Sucrose following after them. "So, you want to join us?" Eula asked.
"Well yeah, Jean is swamped at the city. So, we will help you fight against your grandfather," Aether said as everyone else nod their heads in agreement.
"Thank you everyone. I am out of the knights but I am still going to fight against the Lawrence Clan even if I have to destroy them in order to bring true peace to Mondstadt," Eula said as they exit out of the city and head for her personal manor in the woods.
"That is my girl," he said with a thumbs up with Eula letting out a cue giggle.
"You are so weird Aether," Eula said.
"Seriously, how are you holding up?" he asked as Eula utters a sigh.
"I know Jean had to put the nation before me but it still hurts, nonetheless. I got still fight in me, let's head back and plan our next move," Eula said as they head off to her home. "Grandfather, I will never forgive you for what you did to the people here. My family's evil must be put down or I die trying," Eula feeling the fire of her determination within her heart as their journey to stop Eula's grandfather begins.
