CHAPTER 2

Carol was literally hungry for blood. "I fucking can't hold it anymore ! It's been 3 years. 3 FUCKING YEARS !" she complained. The more she thought about it, the more she was craving it. She knew she couldn't let it get to her head, or else. Her brother would be able to reach her mind. And fuck. She let her body fall on her bed, her hands grabbing her head so hard, her nails were starting to make her scalp bleed a little. The blood was now covering the tip of her fingers. She took a look. Her eyes fixated on hit. "You're sick and disgusting Carol." she taught as memories of her breastfeeding Zed, killing her first victim, a young girl named Sophia. Zed had seen her.

" Do you feel better now ?" he said, unfazed. "I-I… Yes." Carol's mouth was surrounded by Ora, unlike Zed, hers was a silver liquid dancing on and within her. The Silver Ora changed her mouth into a lioness' maw. She bite down on the girl's stomach, tearing off skin and flesh, her organs visible. She looked at her brother, "It feels good." she said, laughing a little, while her eyes were crying. "I'll be a monster too then." he said. He hugged his sister and the two of them became monsters. One drinking a sort of milk, the other eating blood and flesh.

Zed opened his eyes at that memory. "Hi dear...sister." Zed said through their link. That's what Carol was talking about, Zed wasn't the only one to be consumed by Ora. Carol has been to, and she remembered it as well as Zed.

A young Carol, was running away from a huge and magnificent castle. Bare feet, she was running from it like a lamb would flee from a wolf. "Zed is dead." had said her 'husband'. The husband was an old Governor of the Syndicate, it's the official name of the Interplanetary Council that Lisa mentioned. Carol shakes her head, holding tears as her feet were abused by the rocks. After less than an hour of running, she let herself fall on her knees, crying. She wouldn't believe it. "It was-it was just a guarding mission. It's so unfair." and she let the pain invade her soul, as she let a scream of pure pain, it was primal and so loud. It's the kind of cry that makes you feel empty, your emotion being replaced by the sadness of the broken person. After a moment her servant and only friend came. "I knew you'll be there." Alina said. She was sweating, of course all this running would have made her sweaty, but there was that… feeling surrounding her. Carol was already checking her surroundings. "I loved him, with all my heart and I still do." she said. "Lady Carol, you know that it's… it's…"

"Say it." said Carol coldly. "It's wrong, to be honest I found it disgusting that you're willing, wanting to give yourself to your brother in this kind of relationship." Alina said. Carol stood up. "That's it. You're just like everyone, you think that Zed is just using my body." she now faced Alina, tears in her eyes. "My so-called friend. I trusted you, I shared with you all my moments, I confined to you my feelings." Carol walked around her. "Do you know where we are ?" she asked with her now broken voice. "More than you…" said Alina, as guards soon surround them. "The Shrine of Shaleena, the Megafauna of Alkair. Alkair being the planet that they were on. A squadron of twenty guards came, escorting a futuristic truck that was carrying a cage with the creature in. The creature was a massive panther with saber fangs, his fur was silver. "In another life Carol, we could have been like sisters." said Alina as she left. "No, that would mean that in another life, you would have been more powerful, emphasizing your nature. You're a coward snake." Hearing those words, Alina acted like it didn't touch her, but she couldn't hold back a single tear. "Enough you disgusting animal." said the Governor, standing in palanquin. "You betrayed my trust. Even dead, your… brother is the one you're loyal to. The one that you, ugh, loved." The Governor had a sinister smile. "Well join him." And the beast was released. A young woman, a brunette babe, was sitting next to him. "Why don't you just execute her. I thought that she was the most dangerous thing in the universe along with her brother." said the girl. "Look daughter, that freak is still a Templar. Those fools vowed to never ever hurt those beasts. She's about to be eaten alive." laughed the Governor. Shaleena has been starved by the servant of the Governor, so she didn't hesitate to jump on Carol. The teen jumped out of the way, the beast knocking down some guards instead, she looked at them, and killed them with her claws, and she attacked the rest. As the guards were being violently killed, the Governor raised his hand. And soon, a blue laser-like barrier surrounded the battlefield, forming an arena. Carol took one of the spears off the ground, the beast was still hungry, they looked at each other for a second, before they roared at each other. And Carol killed the Creature that she should have protected. When the dust was cleared, Carol was made of pure Silver Ora. Her face was like a lioness, with two yellow eyes burning. She spread her fingers, as they changed in massive razor shaped claws. She roared, making a huge hole in the barrier with one claw. And she killed them all. Alina was standing alone. "Any last word ?" asked Carol with a suave cosmic voice. "It suits you to be a monster, hope your brother will now see how ugly you really are."

"First he found me magnificent." Carol said as she stabbed Alina's stomach with her right claws, "The only thing we share is our mind, not our blood." she said before she bit Alina's throat."

"I missed you too Dear." said a voice behind her. It was Zed.

Carol opened her eyes. She was lying on her bed, in the dark. She checked her phone, " 10 pm. Great." she said. "I'm too hungry." she said, holding once again her stomach. Her phone vibrated on her bed next to her, receiving a message from Becky.

'Girls Night Hun ! Come to Sophia's place tonight.'

'Still waiting for you !'

'Okay, if you ever decided to come, know that we moved to go for a midnight bath at Crystal Lake.'

"Interesting. Very interesting." Carol smiled. She quickly refreshed herself before putting on a bikini under black legging and a white crop top. ' I know classic and cliché but, you'll see, it will be helpful.' She taught. She grabbed her car keys, left the night light in her nightstand still on. She locked the door of her apartment as her neighbor, an old man that she appreciated, was opening his. "Be careful tonight sweetie, don't eat too much." he said with a smile. "I'll be carefull Tony."

Lincoln was running, casually jumping from roof to roof, he had been a secret agent for fun fighting pity crime, and occasionally taking down mob bosses and gangs. But this time, he had a real combat suit, it was similar to the one Steve Rogers had, although the color scheme was red, and where the Captain's suit was silver, it was black with an ace of spade instead of a star. The red and white pattern was replaced by a full red part. His white shield with an ace of spade on it was on his back. He was chasing a girl in a white and spider suit. "Spider-Girl come on wait up." And she stopped. Lincoln smiled, his mask not covering his eyes and mouth. The girl waited for him to be close enough, her hand open, and as Lincoln tried to reach for it, Spider-girl let herself fall from the roof. "Dang it !" and Lincoln took a breath, and jumped too. "Bad iead, bad idea fuck !" But the mystery girl grabbed him by his waist. As there feet touch the ground, the girl punched the young Ace Savvy in guts, yelling, "What the fuck is wrong with you ?!" Lincoln caught his breath as he said, " I-I just wanted to talk !" The girl looked at him. "Talking ?" Lincoln nodded. "About what ?"

"I promised to always have an eye on that girl." he gave her a photo of Ronnie Anne. "She's been missing for a whole week now." Spider-Girl looked at the video. "Since the accident at the Alpha Tauri Lab of Great Lake City." she said. "How do you know her ?" Lincoln was surprised by that, "I guessed I was right, you know her too. She's my best friend. And she left me this note." He handed it to her. The note said: Lame-O, I don't have much time. I need help. Something big is threatening Great Lake City. A couple of months ago, Sid and I found that there's a shady corporation named 'The Syndicate' kidnapping people in the city, since then I saw a huge hyena-like monster running away from one of their sub-location. I think that this is just the beginning of something bigger. Found Spider-Girl, and helped her take them down.

"Do you know where she is Sid?" asked Lincoln. "No fucking way, how do you know…" she coughed, "I mean, I don't know who that Sid Chang is…" Lincoln took off his mask/hood, smiling at her. "Lincoln?" Sid took off hers too, the two hugging. "So about the mission." Sid let go of Lincoln. "Yes, well Ronnie is in Peru, there was a lead there and I don't know why but they began to search for her father so they decided to go hide there. As for the kidnapping, it's mostly young blonde girls that can or not be mistaken or just having some similarities to Lori. As Ronnie said, we saw a hyena-like monster running away, I think that they were doing experiments on those girls." explained Sid. "Wow… pretty heavy stuff…"said Lincoln.

As they arrived, Lisa was still trying to find out information about Carol Pingrey. At the moment that her brother opened her door, her computer showed her a signal. It was Carol's location. "We don't have much time, sibling. I need you to bring me Carol Pingrey. She's involved with the galactic organisation known as the Syndicate. Here, I already sent to your smartwatch the location of Carol. BE quick, I was informed that she's really dangerous." explained Lisa, before dismissing her brother. As Lincoln ran outside, Lisa walked toward her bunker.

"Carol, finally !" said a half drunk Becky. "Hey girl."said Carol, as they hugged, Carol fought so hard against the idea of just biting her throat. 'Zed had to wake up so late… I'm so hungry, I'm even thirsty too now." she taught. "Who's here?" Asked Carol. "Let's see, there is Dana, Whitney and her cousin Fiona and Belle." Becky and Carol joined their friends. "Belle?" Asked Carol. "Oh we met back at Royal Woods, and since she was here for the week-end. She's really sweet you'll see." Carol remembered now, "Oh is she the 'Thicc QT you talked about last week?" "Yes !" said Becky as the two finally reached the group. "Looks like I'll have a feast tonight." said Carol, as her smile was showing fangs instead of teeth. "Looks like I will break our deal Tony, I'm too hungry." she thought.

As Lincoln and Sid were running towards Carol's location, Lucy was following Lisa to her bunker. "The end is near Zed, I'll suggest that you cooperate now." she said. "What makes you think that you can give me orders?" asked Zed, his back still facing Lisa. "As we're talking, a task force was sent to retrieve your sister. Talk, our else." Zed laughed. "You shouldn't be that confident. Not after you send some people to their death." "What are you talking about ?" said Lisa, pissed. "Let's just say that my sister is a predator that was starving for 3 years now." Lisa lost her bravado. She didn't believe it, but now. "So that was your plan? Your brother would be so disappointed...if he survives." Lisa ran back to her room. Letting once again the door open. Lucy came, bowed in front of Zed and came near the cage.

The girls were relaxing, Dana, Whitney and Becky were talking among themselves as Fiona had gone to pee somewhere nearby. That left Belle and Carol alone in the water. "She's so thick…' Carol felt the Ora surrounding her mind. "I can't wait anymore." she said out loud. "What are you talking about?" Asked QT. "You." And Carol's mouth was replaced with the panther's maw. "What the f-" Belle couldn't finish her sentence as Carol bite her throat. QT could just scream of pure terror and agony for a couple of seconds. All the other girls stopped what they were doing, Fiona coming back, yelling, "Belle!"

Lucy pushed a button on a little screen, disengaging Zed's prison. "Lucy!" shouted Lisa, as she came back. "What did you do ?" Asked the genius.

She let the monster out.
