Aroara Moon: Hello. So there was a time skip between the end of the last chapter and this one as the events played out the same. Ash played a bit into her idea of him being an idiot. Warning I am planning on doing something with the mega and gigantamax forms.

Chapter 1.

Ash looked at the blue badge that was being offered to him. It looked off. With narrow eyes he met the teal eyes of the blonde gym leader. "Candy?" The three shared a joyous laugh.

"It seems that Pallet Town has some smart trainers."

"So, Gary and Rose passed your test."

"Sure did. Magnus Flare did as well."

"Magnus isn't from Pallet Town, but from Cinnabar island. His family runs a fishing boat that travels from Cinnabar to Pallet."

"Oh. Wait," Daisy's eyes widened before looking at her sisters, "how many where there this year?"

"I was informed that it was a four way tie." Violet chirped.

"What! Four tied for the top grades in all of Kanto." Daisy looked at her sister.

"Rumor has it that they scoured a 98%." Lilly tilted her head. "I can't remember who was said to gain the scour."

"Not a bad scour to be balanced between the mind and the body." Daisy watched the boy.

"Gary Oak, Rose Green, and Ash Ketchum of Pallet town and Magnus Flare of Cinnabar Island." Dexter chirped from his pocket. The three looked at him as he pulled out his pokédex.

"What a strange design." Lilly looked at the red model.

"Well, you have a pokédex designed for the gym leaders in mind. This designed for field researchers."

"Makes since, since the top three trainers, or four in this case, are given the title and position of Jr. field researcher." Daisy said looking the boy over, slipping a heavy duty pokédex with the Cascade Badge on the black titanium shell. Opening it she clicked on his pokédex's signal, pulling up his trainer information. "Two on Two match. Challenger can change pokémon at any time." Hitting another two buttons caused two poké balls to appear in her left hand.

With a sharp nod. They moved to the opposite sides of the battle pool. He pulled two out of his backpack and placed it on the ground. He handed one to pikachu who sat on the thin green backpack to watch the fight. "Go Rin." Ash called out releasing a large beedrill. As the red light faded from the beedrill's form revealing its strange color. Where most beedrills where yellow this one was jet black and the normal black was replaced with gold and the normal red eyes where a shade darker. On her head was a golden wire tiara with a single red ruby hat lay in the center of her forehead. He had caught her as a little weedle during the rescue of his metapod from the beedrill hive.

"She is beautiful." Daisy cooed.

"Thanks." The beedrill gave a pleased buzz as she flew up to the platform. "Go seel." The white seal pokémon gave an excited cry and splashed into the clear water.

"Your pokémon looks amazing. He is clearly taken care of."

"Thank you." Daisy smirked as she straightened up. "Water gun," Rin flew over the water stream.

"Electro web." The sisters' eyes widen as the electro web sent shocks through the water. Seel cried out before glaring at the beedrill.

"Ice beam." Seel clipped her right wing sending her in the water for a short while. Daisy smirked before she noticed his smile. The buzzing from the water wasn't one of panic, but from force. Rin was beating her wings quickly and slowly lifted her body from the water. She was panting from the effort. She landed on the platform glairing at the seel. The back and forth of ice and electricity began. Webs and ice where scattered across the surface of the water and platforms.

"Giga drain."

"What?" Daisy squeaked as seel fainted."

"Seel is no longer able to fight first round goes to Ash." Lily called out.

"Rin return and rest." She nodded before flying over to her trainer where she sat down and leaned against his leg. "Ladies first." He said motioning to the field. Daisy gave a gently smile before throwing out a poké ball.

"Go Staryu." The star pokémon twirled like a disk as it appeared on the field.

"Go Obsidian." Ash called out a pokémon he found in a cave in deep Viridian forest after he slipped away from Misty. A black Geodude who bounced up and down on the platform. He didn't care that he was surrounded by water.

"What? Are you insane?" Violet screamed from the sidelines, concerned for the strange geodude shined in her eyes.

"Tackle it into the water." Daisy said watching the odd colored pokémon, who didn't even flinch at the splashing sound.

"Grab it and have a blast." The large smile from the geodude creeped her out and the order made her eyes widen.

"Stop and use water gun," but her call was to late as staryu hit the geodude, who latched on and exploded with self-destruct a split second later. She glared at the trainer as water went everywhere. She didn't like that he used that move. "What was that?"

"It's a grooming technique. They use it to remove debris, water and dirt from the cracks and crevices in their bodies. As, you know, they don't use water to clean themselves. It's like when we blow our noses." She sighs and groaned at the laughter that bubbled from the tired form of the geodude. A heart beat later they where watching the pokémon evolve into a black graveler with ruby red eyes.

"Winner with one pokémon left is challenger Ash Ketchum." Ash and his pokémon cheered. Pikachu was swung around by Rin. As Obsidian just gave weak chuckles and a thumbs up, before going to sleep. "Go get your badge, kiddo. You've earned it." Lily smiled at them.

"Get some rest guys." He returned the two tired pokémon to their poké balls. Pikachu jumped onto his shoulder, to ride out the remaining dizziness Rin had caused him. Ash was proud of his team.

"Here is the Cascade Badge. You," Daisy was handing him the real badge that a shade lighter and smoother than the candies, but interrupted.

"Hold it." Misty stalked in. "You can't just hand out badges. That isn't how being a gym leader is done." The three rolled their eyes. Violet and Lily started in on their little sister distracting her. Daisy Slipped him his new badge and a bag of Cerulean Drops. They where hard candy versions of the Cascade badge, but the size and only sold here at the gym. She winked at him. By the time he was able to leave the gym, he was pissed.

The 'gym' battle that Misty dragged him into was interrupted by Team Rocket and then they almost drowned him. Granted it wasn't on purpose, but still it happened. Then Misty, who lost, tried to say she didn't, and not to give him his 'badge.' Oh, he need to have a long talk with pikachu. He stopped in the middle of the street still dripping wet. Maybe it was time to vanish her reach. With his mind made up he dashed to the Pokécenter where he closed his normal trainer's room and opened the Field researcher's room, which he vanished into. Thinking Arceus that it was on the other side of the center compared to his old room.

The room was larger and had more space. One side of the room was a secure videophone and shelves of different equipment. The equipment to monitor the growth and health of their pokémon. Testing equipment for water, soil, and other environmental Factors. A large fish tank was in the other wall for fish pokémon. A safe was in the wall under the tank. He dropped the green backpack on the desk sitting in the comfortable chair he slipped Dexter into the videophone.

It's beep let him know he was logged in. He filled out another report about Team Rocket. Pulling up his trainer profile gave him a list of his all the pokémon he owned and where they were, His win/lose ratio, his bank balance was pretty good with the latest two wins being deposited, and checked his Messages.

Closing it out of his profile he moved to the next and dumped the green pack on the bed. While the bag was wet, everything inside was dry. He began to organize everything that was his away from the Professor's testing equipment that was used by the top students to get their first badge. Then they switch them out for their prepared packs to continue their journey. With a quick message to the Professor had Igor, Professor Oak's Alakazam, appearing in a few short seconds with a black professional Hiker's backpack that he won during the summer challenge and a honey colored Pikachu wit a heart shaped tail. She had a black chocker with a light ball the size of a marble on it.

"Hello Honey." She cheered and launched herself at him. After the hug she was sat on the desk and spoke to Dexter, the Porygon that was dancing across the screen of the videophone. When Ash slipped into the bathroom, she turned on Pikachu and chewed him out.

When he stepped out he was clean, and dry. His long hair was once again free to fall to his hips. With quick movements he pulled his hair into a high ponytail and through an older black hat with an outline of a sparking pikachu on the front. His collector's hat went into the green pack with his dirty clothes he had been wearing. Looking in the mirror he sighed as his fingers worked through his spiky black hair. He looked like his mother. Honey golden eyes went to his bear cheeks and smiled, Misty would never find him.

"Pikachu." He cried as he was tackled by both pikachus. Pikachu was apologizing, while Honey was looking for comfort. "It's okay. Honey, Pikachu all is forgiven." He rubbed their ears and cheeks to calm them. Once they were both calm down Pikachu looked at his trainer confused. His trainer wore a pair of black leggings tucked into a pair of heavy duty hiking boots and a long sleeve black summer dress that went to the middle of his thighs. Bandages where wrapped around his hands starring with his fingers going up his arms under his sleeves and ended around his throat.

"Pikapi chu?"

"Do you know about Alpha, betas, or omegas?" Ash's fingers twirled around the hem of his dress. Pikachu shook his head. "Alpha are the leaders of there teams. They are the first line fighters. Bruno, Lorelei, Lance and the Jenny clan are Alphas. They are stronger with more muscles no matter their gender. Women alphas don't build muscle mass like men, but have denser muscles making them equal in terms of overall strength. Betas are not as aggressive as alpha. Few betas have ever had Dragons on their teams. Brock and Misty are Betas. They are normal for their genders. Omegas are frailer looking when compared to Betas and because of that and their nurturing nature their teams tend to be highly protective of them that is returned. Agatha and the Joy clan are Omegas. They are 'softer,' not really weaker. just don't put on muscle like either alpha or beta." He stretched out his arms.

"Most people are registered as betas until they are around 14-16 when they start to shift in to their dynamic. Those unlucky change around 17-20. That is rare and it is said to be painful. Lucky ones awaken 'awaken' at the time of their birth to 6. Their bodies grow into their dynamic instead of shifting mid way through their 'final development years before adulthood.' Whatever that means." Confusion crossed his face. "Mom said she will explain when I'm older." He pouted.

"Anyway Mom is an Omega, professor Oak is an Alpha and Donny the Prof. right hand man is a Beta. One of the few to have raised a dragon type. He has some nasty scares from when it was being defiant."

"Pikachu." Honey said.

"Everyone says I'm an omega, but a few doctors say it is to early to tell. Wont know for sure until I turn 14." He shrugged. "Besides Mom wanted a girl, I don't mind dressing this way and it is common for Omegas to dress this way."

"Pikachu." Honey chirped as Ash blinked.

"Oh right, I can use Aura which is how I can understand you better." Pikachu nodded deep in thought as Ash slipped out of the room with Honey on his shoulder. Igor twitched his mustache amused at the young Omega as he turned toward the 'alpha' of Ash's team. With careful word choices he filled the Pikachu in about the dynamic in more detail.

Pikachu was glad for his thick yellow fur, by the time it was all said and done. He refused to allow any alpha around his omega trainer and glared at the alakazam who chuckled. Before reminding him that Ash may need more Alphas to balance his powers. The Electric type would have shocked him if he didn't teleported away.

[With Ash.]

As Ash stepped into the lobby he heard Misty demanding to know where he went.

"I am sorry, but I can not tell you. If wanted you to know you to know he would tell you. Now please lower your voice this a place of healing."

"He destroyed my bike, so he owes me a new one."

"Misty, you, like, burrowed my bike." Daisy said glaring at her. "What happened to it, and why am I just now hearing of this?" She whipped out her gymdex, she typed his name into a search. It easily pulled up the report and the claim he filed. "The investigation has concluded that he wasn't at fault and so they were going to replace my bike. You didn't even call to tell me it had been destroyed." Daisy glared at the orange haired teen, who gulped and sulked. The other two looked disappointed.

Ash walked up to the counter with on his shoulder. Nurse Joy looked up at him with a smile.

"Hello there."

"Hello, I am here to pick up my pokémon." Ash handed over Dexter to the woman. She slide the pokédex into her computer and noticed the updated photo. So with a smile she handed back his pokémon's poké ball. "Thank you."

"You are most welcome. Have a great day." With a beaming smile she handed back Dexter. Before she went back to filling out different request and reports. Ash turned from the counter and moved toward one of the booths before calling out the pokémon. When Rin appeared Misty squealed ducking behind her sisters. Rin snuggled up to her trainer, as Obsidian looked proud of himself as he flexed his arms, butterfree draped himself over his trainer's shoulders and pidgeotto snuggled in his other side cooing softly to Rin. "Well look at you, you evolved." The graveler cheered. With a smile he leaned in closer to the rock/ground type. The average height for a geodude was 1'04" and obsidian had been around 2' in height and 87.6lbs, almost double the average weight. Graveler's average height is 3'03" and weighs between 231.5lbs-242.5lbs when they are fully grown, where Obsidian was about 3'06" already and having just evolved meant he had some growing to do. "You're still growing into your new form, so more training." Obsidian cheered as he rolled across the floor.

"Now Rin your turn." The Beedrill stood up and stretched out her wings.

"what are you doing put that disgusting bug away." Misty shrieked.

"Please ignore her, we do." Violet said.

"Hey."

"Shush. Yeah your pokémon did such a marvelous job battling today." Lily smiled

"Thank you, they are not fully mature yet." He looked pointedly at Obsidian.

"Oh, well seel isn't either. So swing by whenever you want and we will gladly give you a rematch." Daisy said.

"Like totally." Violet agreed as Lily hummed her agreement. Ash nodded and decided to do the rest of his check ups in his room, now that he had the room and the equipment to do it. With a gentle push pidgeotto stood and Obsidian unrolled.

"Creepy bug girl." Misty whispered under her breath. "What is wrong with you? Bugs are so gross."

"Um." Ash gave her a side eyed look before ignoring her. Rin buzzed at the girl before moving at the gentle prodding of her trainer when her wings sent a rainbow of color everywhere as they caught the sunlight just right. A breath caught in someone's throat had everyone turning to the sound. A teen, slightly older that Misty, had just come through the door and was staring at the Beedrill.

"Beautiful. What gender?"

"Female. A true daughter of the queen of Viridian Forest's Hive."

"Wow."

"She is still growing."

"I can see that she still needs to grow into her wings. Yet she is about 3'08" in height."

"Yes." :Ash said with a nod, as he motioned for his pokémon to move to his room. "The Nurse is waiting at the counter."

"Oh, I forgot." He rushed forward to talk to Nurse Joy, much to her amusement. He made it to his room no problem. Putting Dexter in the port to log him in. he setup the weight scales and re-zeroed it. As he was taking the measurements and notes on their development Dexter wrote them down.

Obsidian was up first. His height was 3'06" and weighed 244.7lbs. Rin stood at 3'08" and weighed 68.5lbs. The average height for beedrill was 3'03" with their weight averaging out to around 65lbs. Butterfree was next. The average height was 3'07" and weighing around 70.5lbs. With him standing 3'05" and weighing 69.5lbs. Pidgeotto's height was 3'10" and weighs 69.8lbs compared to the average height of 3'07" and weighs around 66.1lbs. Pikachu was 1'08" and weighed 14.6lbs. Honey weighed 12.6lbs with her height being around 1'01." The average for the species was 1'04" and 13.2lbs. Finally spearow was released to join them. The average was 1'00" in height and 4.4lbs for their weight, but Sparta was 1'09" and weighed 5lbs

The videophone started to ring. "Ring-ring-ring, phone-call, phone-call." Turning around he hit the except button. Only to be met with the glaring face on his rival Gary.

"Do you know how much trouble I got in?"

"Well Hello to you too." Ash leaned back Honey curled up on his lap while Pikachu glared at the other boy. He had been clingy ever since he returned to the room. Rolling his eyes Gary leaned forward and opened his mouth to yell. "Will you tell me how I got you in trouble?"

"You know how. You told on me."

"oh. You knew better than to use a car with notifying the Poké-rangers." Ash glared back at him. "I was walking through after you stirred up the wild life. You know some pokémon hate loud noises and smells." Gary really looked at Ash for the first time since he answered and noticed the bandages.

"What happened?"

"You should be able to guess what happened." Ash sighed his right hand messaged his left hand. Looking away he glared. "I. We were attacked by a flock of spearow you pissed off. You know the flock that hunts during Dawn and dusk." He rubbed his hands over his face. "I have scares on my arms, shoulders and one on my neck to remind me of that. Also found a can of Dewgong Icer," Gary paled, "that had hit only of the more aggressive Spearows in the flock. So I really didn't have a choice on if I tell or not. I was hurt, my pokémon where hurt, and a bike was destroyed in our escape." Ash sighed as he looked at him.

"Man Ash, I didn't mean for that to happen. Grandpa chewed me and the girls out. I never seen him so mad. The car was return to my mother and had to pay a fine for giving me a car. I am not getting my allowance for a while for littering and actually driving it in the first place. Dad was angry with mom and I. Daisy is ignoring me and the girls for a few weeks." Suddenly he was shoved out of the way.

"Ash we are so sorry," Bethany, a blonde green eyed teen that was traveling with Gary, appeared on the screen. It like totally slipped our minds to contact the Kanto Rangers station located in our area. Mrs. Oak reassured us it was fine," tears gathered in her eyes and several others' crowded behind her.

"I know. How about when we meet up we go on a shopping spree and have a spa day?" Lizzy, a green haired and hazel eyed teen that was just Bethany's right, suggested and the others agreed.

"It has been decided. That is what we will do when we meet up." Bethany said with a smile and a clap of her hand just under her chin. 'Now Gary needs to think of something to make up for this stunt." She said with a thoughtful look and her index finger on her chin. The girls gave a sly look to the blushing boy.

"Hey." Gary called out as he pushed his way forward. "Ash, I'll talk to you later."

"Ok." With that the call ended. Ash blinked with his head tilted before shrugging it off. The videophone rang again and he answered. "Hello." He blink seeing Blue Oak on the screen.

"Hello Satoshi. You are hard to get in contact with." Ash bit back a whine. In all the time he knew this man, he never used nicknames. "I am sorry to hear about what happened to you on your first day. I do hope that it has not spoiled the experience."

"No, just a lesson learned to be carful and heed the warnings." Every kid in Pallet knew about the Spearow flock, but they never got closer to the town because of the powerful pokémon that live there.

"My wife over stepped her bounds. Gary was to get a bike, just like Daisy upon her graduation, but as you know cars are cheaper. So I left something with Bill to give to you as an apology gift from my wife and I."

"You can't and shouldn't apology for somebody else. Can you?" Ash tilted his head as he thought about what he heard his mom say several times to this same man and one of his uncles. This got an amused look from the man.

"No, I guess not." He shook his head as he thought of Dalia. "Then it is from me for not squashing the idea. No 10 year should have a car. No matter if they live in the cities or in small town in the middle of nature. Stay safe."

"You too." With that the screen went black. It wasn't even a second later that a message came through. "What in the world?" Then groaned. "Professor Oak probably told them I was here." Honey nodded. Opening the message and saw it was from his Uncle asking him to meet just north of Cerulean. Picking up Honey he stood and stretched one arm above his head, removing Dexter logged him out and pulled the message up on the pokédex's screen. He left the sleeping blissed out pile of pokémon on the rug where groomed them earlier. He grabbed his backpack before leaving, deciding to stock up on somethings.

Making his way north was peaceful and quiet something that he hadn't had much of in the past few days. He enjoyed the sights and he found the open air market that had the Poké-Cooking Center beside it. He step out of the city into a green wetlands. Snow melt and glacier water from the mountains, threw the wetlands, into the aqua ducts through and around the city and into the river to the south. The constant flow of kept the waters cool and clear. A chill rose into the air from the water as he walked through the soft and springy grass. Towering trees were healthy though there leaves where white instead of green. He knew of a small cave further north, that was made by a smaller glacier, that was home to water and ice pokémon.

Not far the city stood a man that he met a few times. His Alpha Uncle and his father's elder twin brother, Red. With a big smile he tackled the man in a hug. A breathy chuckle sounded over his head as he was hugged back. He buried his face into his uncles stomach he could feel fingers playing with his hair. All to soon he was gently pushed back by his shoulder, he looked up at his uncles face.

Red was frowning as he took in his nephew's bandages. Poliwrath was talking to the two Pikachus while his Charizard was looking over his nephew. He tilted the boy's head up to get a better look at the bandages.

"A spearow got me pretty good on the back of my neck. Only a scar was left behind." Ash explained.

"Dose Dalia know?"

"Yes, Mom knows what happened." Red nods before looking down at his nephew once again.

"Any other trouble?"

"Some annoyances. Ran into Team Rocket, Jessie, James and Meowth I'm pretty sure where their names."

"Be careful. Not all members are as tame as those three." The Alpha stepped back and looked at the sky.

"My team is coming together."

"I know."

"Ugh, Professor Oak?" Red nodded.

"He can't help himself it seems. When three of his grandkids are doing so well." Red smirked at him, "congratulations on another gym badge. As my family aren't really connected to a pokémon line like Jenny, Joy or either of your mother's." On his mother's side his grandfather had the pikachu line and his grandmother had a pokémon that was given when they turned 12, "but I want you safe so," he made a motion to charizard who lumbered forward and started sniffing him. After a few moments the giant 7'4" fire lizard moved back and growled behind him. A small little golden charmander came out looking between Red and its' father. The charizard rubbed his snout against the charmander's head with a rolling purr sounding growl. Before gently pushing it forward.

"She is the runt of the hatchlings. Her mother and her trainer didn't really care about her, so I decide to give her to you." Ash's eyes widen as he snapped his head to look at his uncle. "She is old enough to train. I think about two years like all of the starter that the professors hand out." He rubbed his throat, before getting a drink of water.

"Dose she have a name."

"Up to you kiddo," he shrugged.

"Do you want a name?" the charmander thought about it before nodding her head. "How about Nova?" She cheered and waved her little claws around, getting a snort from her father and a bubbly chuckle from poliwrath. Red handed Ash a Luxury ball, which he took and clipped on his belt.

"Message me if you ever need help, be it from wild pokémon or humans. With Team Rocket on the move again it could stir up some trouble." Red turned as his EliteDex beeped. "Have to go. A rampaging tyranitar beep in the silver mountains refuses to be calmed down by the Johto rangers." He return his Poliwrath and climbed onto Charizard's back. Ash steadied the little fire type as the wind off of their take off almost sent it into the swallow water.

When they where out of sight he good look at Nova. She was about 1'05" in height when the average was 2.' That would make her weigh less than average as well. Her skin looked and felt like what is normal for a healthy charmander. Claws, teeth and tail flame all showed perfect health. She was sniffing the water that was around her feet before she took a drink and shivered at the coldness. Ash chuckled as she covered her mouth with her claws.

"Nova," she looked up at him. "This is Pikachu my starter and Honey a pokémon I have had since I was seven."

"Char?" She looked at him as he picked her up.

"Starters are the ones given by or okayed by the regional Professor at the age of. Pokémon given to child are mostly considered pets until they turn 10 and then are normally shifted into the starter category. Except the top three students of the region which gets a choice between charmander, squirtle, and bulbasaur. Then the pet is still shifted into the party." She tilted her head but Honey explained it in more detail as they made it back into the city. Honey liked contest, mercury hadn't wanted to lead and Rose didn't like fighting.

It didn't take long for them to reenter the city and make it to the market. Ash put her sat her in his backpack so she could look around while he had his hands free to look at the different items. He picked up different fruits, vegetables, and meats. A few minerals and vitamins. Along with a few items, another light ball that he gave to pikachu, charcoal that he gave to charmander and a silk choker for with a lightning bolt that he slipped on. They moved on to the Cooking center. There was an alpha male inside ran the center, helped young trainers and made sure the equipment wasn't stolen.

He almost ran into Brock as he was exiting and Ash was entering. He moved in seeing three groups one was a group of two boys and two girls in the front asking the advisor questions as they made a mess. The next group three teenage boys in the far corner making soft-chew candy his way to from a recipe book. The last was three teen girls they were giggling as they cooked a meowth was curled by the girls' feet cleaning it paw.

He made his way to an empty station in the corner with a way to the advisor who waved back while answering another question. With a quick scan of Dexter he was allowed to use the station. Putting the food he bought on the counter and then pulled out his food counter beside the food. With a care he cleaned and prepped what he would be using. He soon was in a relaxed rhythmed he could almost hear hiss mother humming a song as they worked. His three pokémon where sitting in the chairs that at the table for this station. He kept an half and ear on them. Every so often he would jot down notes and recipes in a red journal he had on the table.

He almost jumped out of his skin when a hand entered his field of vision. Jerking his head to the owner to see one of three teen boy standing there with a smirk in his face. A piece of sliced fired meat was between his fingers. "Looks good." Ash narrowed his eyes as he proceeded to eat it. "Taste better than I thought."

"Can you leave me alone."

"Aw don't be like that. I was trying to talk to you, but you ignored me."

"I was busy making food for my journey."

"Are you traveling alone?"

"No, now go away." He went back to fixing the boxes. He handed the few extra pieces to Nova , who cooed as she ate it.

"Don't be that way."

"Do you want to thrown out on your ear?"

"Who." He cut himself off as he stared up into the eyes of the Alpha advisor.

"Get back to your friends, now." The boy fled and got laughed at by one boy when the other slapped him on the back of his head. "You ok?"

"Just annoyed. Thank you." He stretched. "If you hadn't stepped in Pikachu would have zapped him, with a none friendly, but not life threatening power."

"Oh he would defiantly made him hurt." The Alpha chuckled as he looked at the sparking and glaring pikachu. "If you need anything I'll be in the front helping the other new trainers." Before he left the older of the three came over to them with something in his hands.

"Well, I'm sorry for my brother's behavior. I'll be letting our mother know about this,"

"As will I." the Advisor said. The boy nodded.

"So, as an apology take this soft chew candies that we made."

"You don't."

"Please, take them." Ash couldn't smell anything wrong with them and the Alpha motioned for him to take them.

"Thank you." As he took them the boy bowed before smoothly turning around and marched toward the two waiting for him by the door.

"They are safe." With that the man left. Nova cooed.

"Did you enjoy it?" Nova nodded her head quickly almost making her dizzy. "That's good." He moved onto making the pokéfood. While was making up their foot he let them taste the food much to their joy.

By the time he got back to the Pokécenter it was almost dark and nova was curled up in his arms sleeping. Making it to the room he laid the pokémon with the others and fell into bed after kicking off his boots.

He woke up something digging into his side. Opening his eyes to see Nova curled into him. The others where looking at te new member of te team. Gently waking her up and introduced her to the others. He quickly groomed them before putting down his handmade food for them. Before he ducked into he shower. Coming out felling refreshed he was dressed in thicker black leggings tucked into the boots, a sweeter that was thick enough to keep him warm but not overheat. It fell to the middle of his thighs and the sleeves covered half of his hands with black climbing gloves. His hair was braded high ponytail with his bangs kept loose around his face. His new choker was in place. His hat was clipped to his backpack. With them done eating her returned everyone except Pikachu and Honey. A thick chain was used so Dexter was hanging from his neck.

With a wave to Nurse Joy he made his way out. He headed north wanting to explore the cave. He started to jog through the city with both pikachu running behind him. It didn't take him long to get to the wetland. The chill of the morning was made worse by the cold the water seemed to radiate. The water splashed under his feet as he moved through. He could feel Pikachu's and Honey's cold paws on his neck just before he hit the water. The sounds of waking birds filling the quiet of the morning. It didn't take him long to find the cave.

The water had smoothed the once jagged rock and cold air seemed fan out from inside. His breath fogged up as he stepped inside. The sound of water dripping came from further in. A water dropped landed on Pikachu's head causing him to try to shack it off. Ash moved silently through the cave with his flash light slowly fanning from side to side. The cave wasn't huge it just lead to a large chamber that was filled with water. He couldn't see the back clearly but he could seen through the clear water. It was deep and with the strong possibility of having a strong undertow, he wasn't going in there without a really good swimmer. That wasn't stopping him from exploring the ledges and crevices in the walls. With careful movements he climbed up to the first ledge. It wasn't that big but the next was big enough for him stand up and a bit of space to look over.

Pulling up Dexter he took a few night vision pictures of the underground lake and the space he was in. there were signs of pokémon activity. Looking closely he bent down to look at the marking and found shuffling marks and crushed egg shells. A nesting ground, but for what? Golbat maybe. A squeak and some frantic shuffling got his attention, so with a carful movements he made his way to the sound.

Inside a crack in the wall was wiggling white pokémon. It was apparently stuck. He recognized it as a zubat. It was relatively small compared than the ones he saw further west at Mt. Moon. Handing the flashlight to Honey he slipped his arm into the crack. The pokémon squeaked out as he curled his fingers around it to keep its' body away from the stone walls. With gentle and slow movements he pulled the zubat free; ignoring the way the stone tried to snag on his gloves. The zubat was limp in his hand from fear but his teeth was digging uncomfortably into the palm of his glove. Its' right wing had been bitten pretty badly, so pulling out a poké ball. Ash caught it which sent it straight to Professor Oak's lab.

Ash climbed back down off the ledge. Splashing through the water he made his way toward the back. He could see the bottom sloping down into another deep dark pit. Schools of Magikarp, and goldeen lead by seaking swam through the clear water. In the dark he could make out the bulky form a gyarados. A few staryu and starmie lay on the sandy bottom. When suddenly he was splashed three times as something slide by him.

Opening his eyes he glared at the three dark gray seel that were now in the water laughing at him. Hearing a cry had him looking to his left where there was a slope with water pouring downing it. Another three white seel were racing down the slope. he stepped forward out of the way. he laughed as they crashed into the other three. This caused them to turn on him. With wide eyes at their mischievous looks.

"Don't you dare," he squeaked ducking under a water beam then lean back from a warm of bubbles. "Oh." As lost balance and landed on his hands and knees where he splashed water at them. He blinked as one of his poké balls floated on the water for second before being snatched up and bounced between the 6 pokémon. "Hey give that back. If you are not carful you could get caught in it."

"Seel," the large dark gray seel shrugged before bouncing it on his tail to a white seal.

"'So?' What do you mean so?"

"Seel, seel." The white one chirped.

"Do you do this to every train that comes in?"

"Seel. Seel-seeeeeel." A smaller gray one said real slowly.

"You are brats." Then there was a click and slight swoosh as the poké ball vanishing. The large dark gray seel was missing. "Now I've got a prankster seel." Ash groaned.

"Seel-seel." The five waved before diving under the water. Pikachu and Honey were laughing.

"I don't know why you're laugh you'll be helping me." Both gulped as the looked at one another. With a groan he stood up and made his way out of the cave. He rung what water he could from his gloves, the sleeves oh is sweeter and its hem. He swung by the market for some more fruits and the Poké-Cooking Center to fix two more sets of pokéfood and boil some juice to carry with tomorrow. As the cooking calmed him, he hoped the two new members were not causing to much trouble with the others. He finished his final preparations.
