December 24th
It was Christmas Eve, little Alice had become a beautiful baby, she looked a lot like both of her brothers.
She had green eyes and lots of little bits in her hair. She was very sweet and, that year, she got what she wanted so much from Santa Claus: to be able to spend time with his beloved big brothers. For their part, the two young people filled her with cuddles and played a lot with her and every time they returned home, they brought her numerous gifts.
Unfortunately, however, a few months before that Christmas, Mrs. Halstead had discovered that she had a bad disease and would soon have to start treatment. Yet she proved to be the strong woman she had always been, a warrior. He would have faced everything with courage, never giving up. She had to do it, her children, especially her little one, needed her.

Spring was upon us and so Mrs. Halstead decided that this might be a good day for a walk outside in the front yard. Unfortunately, the treatments he was doing were very strong and for this reason he didn't always feel like going out and staying out.
But he wanted to spend time with his little princess, he knew by now that she wouldn't live long enough to see her grow up and become a woman. She wanted to build as many memories as possible that the little girl could keep for a lifetime in her heart.
What he didn't know was that their life would change completely that day.
