Artemis' POV
The team and I were in the cave doing hand to hand combat training. Batman took Martian Manhunter and Red Tornado to meet Mark to see if he's a threat. Connor and Kaldur were sparring, and Connor won by flinging Kaldur to the ground. After a few minutes we heard the computer announce Batman's, Martian Manhunter's and Red Tornado's return. Batman then turns to the zeta-tube, "Override, Batman, 02." The computer then announces, " Mark A03." Mark then walks in with a straight face. He still has his sword. And he's wearing what looks like military fatigues. I get a faint blush, 'he's kinda hot' I think to myself. Batman clears his throat, "Mark is joining the team. Now you all get to know him." Then he and Martian Manhunter leave.
Mark POV
'How did I let myself get talked into this,' I thought to myself. I then see Aqualad come towards me. I get into a defensive stance, while grabbing my sword handle. He puts his hands up, "calm down, friend, I'm not going to hurt you. My name is Kaldur and they're Connor, Megan, Wally, Robin, and Artemis." I look towards Artemis and I blush. "I don't like him," I hear Wally say. I glare at him, my red eyes being more scary than the batglare ever was. Then I say "nice to meet you all." Megan then asks, "If you don't mind, why are your eyes red?" I answer, "I make them red. If I believe I can trust you, then I'll show you all my true eyes." They all look at each other then nod. "Recognized Black Canary 1-3." Black Canary then entered and said, "Hey team, are you all ready for training?" Everyone nodded, I just looked lost. They head for what guess was the training room and I follow.
When we got to the training room, Black Canary fought the team members one on one. When it was my turn, she told me to get into the ring I did as she said and got into a fighting stance. I ran toward her preparing a right hook, but she ducked it and jabbed me in the stomach. It didn't hurt, but I handspring back and zigzag toward her and do a roundhouse kick. She stumbled so I did a left hook, and hit her face. After that, I went for a right hook but she grabbed my hand and threw me to the ground. "Mark failed." I heard the computer say. I growled fangs showing "Oh yeah, computer how about I fight you," I snarl. And I go to the living area.
I'll leave this chapter here short I know but I didn't want to add to it and make it confusing and drawn out. I hope I'm writing all of the team members right. If I'm not, please let me know. Also I'm planning on this story to be an Artemis and Mark romance, at least that's the plan, but anyway please enjoy my story
