Severus glided over the busy London street as a raven, trying to find the Muggle's headquarters. They can't be very well hidden, as Muggles have a tendency of making things very obvious. Severus' plan was simple yet dangerous; Disguise as an innocent bird, become a spy on the Squad, and relay that info to Grimmauld Place. And hopefully betray the muggles when the time was right. The problem is, Severus couldn't Apparate there, that'd give him away...
Severus finally found the Squad Headquarters after hours and hours of searching. Should he risk it and land? Will the muggles have forgotten his escape a few days ago? They probably thought it was some insane sort of trick. Still, Severus did his best to hide the stray silver feathers on his head, and try to act like a normal bird. Good. Can Severus try freeing some of the wizards now? He HAD circled over the headquarters for a few days until he learnt their security code, and decided to free Luna Lovegood. Severus was distracted, however, by a dirty-looking golden retriever loping in the barb wire fenced courtyard of the headquarters. The blue eyes looked strangely familiar... "Miss Lovegood?" Severus said using Legilimency. "Professor Snape! You're here too? I just found that the headquarters is actually an abandoned apartment." Luna said back, being as weird as always. "Wrong time! I need to explore this place further. Follow me." Severus cawed, flying into the low stone room, the dog trailing in his path. "What the-" Muggles gasped as the two animals suddenly stole inside. They both feigned injury, in hopes of the Muggles will not be the evil a-holes that they usually are and take them inside. Fortunately they did. "Well we can't just leave them to rot here right? Take them to headquarters." A Muggle muttered. He picked up Luna, who yelped at the sudden movement, and Severus, who protested with much squawking.
The Animagi spent only a few hours in the headquarters, which was extremely cozy compared to the wizards' dank cells, which made Severus so furious that he wanted to transform back and kill the lot of them, with Luna struggling to calm him down. Severus felt that the muggles were AFRAID of wizards, which might explain that they kept them in dank cells and didn't 'allow' them to enjoy basic human necessities. They also didn't treat animals very well, only feeding Severus and Luna stale rice and hamburger meat, but Severus didn't protest; better to be treated badly for a few days than dead.
Severus carefully crept in the headquarters, silently watching for the muggles along the way. No one would know. They probably thought that the people had died in a gas leak. After killing the malevolent woman that had abused most of the wizards locked up and vanishing most of the muggles' guns, Severus transformed into a raven and left.
"Well? How'd it go?" Mrs Weasley asked, somewhat apprehensively, back at Grimmauld Place. The Weasleys except Charlie, Bill and Percy ,Hermione, and Luna were feeling scared about the plan. After all, they didn't want to be murdering Muggles like the second Voldemort, but it was necessary if they wanted to save the wizards locked up by them. "Well. I did manage to vanish the Muggle's weapons, so they won't be killing for a very long time." Severus said with a smirk. Alarmingly Luna clapped him on the shoulder, though it was hard as Severus was more than a head taller.
"Oh GREAT. JUST what we needed. More inane articles." Severus groused at lunch the next day. Rita Skeeter had written another foul story about Severus and Luna, including many exaggerated (and somewhat romantic) facts, the article sounded like this.
Seeking Solace:
Trouble seemed to find its way to Prof. Severus Snape. After the slaying of the Carrows, Dolores Umbridge, and a nasty incident that we will talk about later, let's look at how the mysterious wizard's life took a tragic turn.
Severus' tragic past has left him with quite a bit of trauma, and he battles it in the form of nightmares. To cope, Severus is revealed to be a potion addict-even suffering a near brush with death in the process. This decision is quite a shock to the wizarding community as the reserved and cold-hearted Snape is revealed to be violent, and a bit unstable. He has also found solace in one of his former students, Luna Lovegood, and there are theories there might be some romantic feelings between them-" Severus threw the article in the fireplace at those words. But he wasn't just angry but fearful; what will the wizarding community react to this? Severus was considered LUCKY that he was trapped in Grimmauld Place, and not the wizarding world. he has enough to cope with right now. HE WASN'T EVEN 'ROMANTIC" TOWARDS LUNA-Severus just thought they had a lot in common, and he couldn't stand seeing anyone locked up.
Severus ventured to the Muggle headquarters again, at night, to see if there were any new captures, but it yielded nothing. Well if you need to kill a monster, you have to cut off its head. Time to see what the leader of this cruel and absurd scheme was. Severus very much wanted to Apparate, but that was just going to expose him, so he had to hop around on his skinny bird legs instead. Some muggles patrolled the corridors, staring suspiciously at the bird, which made Severus self-consciously hide his silver crest.
This building is very subtle and well-hidden, for a muggle. If they weren't so observant I'd already be here by now. Severus mused to himself. He should be around here-"OW!" Severus cawed angrily as a hand grabbed his wing with a pincer-like grip. "Let me GO!" He tried saying, but of course it came out as a series of croaks that irritated the man further. He put his gun to Severus' head..."NO!" Severus shrieked, a human again. AVADA KED-Severus was in the middle of casting the spell when the bullet hit him. Severus grit his teeth and managed to cast the spell, but that was too exhausting for Severus who was a bit emaciated, as he just managed to Apparate outside when everything was turning black...
Severus woke up to very bright white lights, so bright that he had to scrunch his eyes shut for a minute before they would open. GREAT. Now he had been found by muggles and brought to Merlin-knows-where. When Severus looked more carefully he saw that the bright light is actually a flashlight, and that someone was shining it directly in his face. The person is extremely vast and blonde, and he seemed scared at the sight of Severus. "Who're you? There was a lot of noise outside so uhh...we wanted to check it out." Severus knew this man. He is Harry Potter's stupid and rude cousin, and Severus was surprised that he was even doing this. "It really is none of your concern, and if's preferable if you don't shine a flashlight in someone's face." Severus snapped in a strained voice. He had already spelled his injury so it didn't bleed, but the thin, bony woman accompanying the man looked EXTREMELY familiar... "Petunia?" Severus blustered. "Do you know this person Mum?" The boy asked stupidly, which made Severus' mouth twist in disgust. "OH I know, he's one of Harry's teachers at that ...freak place." having had enough, Severus turned his back on the ghoulish woman and the dumb boy, and Disapparated.
