"Bluemoon! Darling, it's past your curfew. you can't be setting this example to my subjects. And we have a busy day tomo-"

"Mother, it's always have a busy day. And I'm literally three-hundred meters outside the village," I interrupted, rolling my eyes. My mother is the most exasperating mother in the whole of Pyrrhia and Pantala.

Mother dragged me off the rock, and set off to the Tree House of the Queen (or THQ), with me staggering along behind. I managed to turn my head, and I could swear I saw Moon fly off in the direction of my Grandma Hope's house. I instantly became curious. I mean, they're friends, but seriously? At eleven o'clock at night? What was going on?

back at THQ, I snuggled down underneath a blanket of plaited grasses, lined with sloth hair (no sloths were harmed in the making of the blanket. Just shaved.), and mentally added my question to THE LIST OF QUESTIONS FROM PRINCESS BLUEMOON THAT WILL NOT GO AWAY UNTIL THEY ARE ANSWERED. I turned over, and drifted into a sleep filled with dreams of unanswerable questions.

The next morning, was bright and sunny. Just kidding. It was actually cloudy and rainy and not-very-nicey. I squished through the muddy ground, and launched into the air, getting an unwanted shower from the surrounding plants. I was off to visit my family and friends, to say goodbye before I headed off to Jade Mountain Academy.

First was Glory and Deathbringer, and their multi-storied platforms. My Grandmother and I had always been close, as we shared the same sarcasm and love for mangosteen, a sweet-sour tropical fruit. I thumped down on her lowest platform, and shook out my wings, before folding them. Today Glory was a white with flecks of pale blue green and yellow. When she turned, the white shimmered silver.

"Well, if it isn't the old man from the outskirts," she said disapprovingly, before grinning. I laughed, and barrelled into her outstretched wings, getting the hug I'd been yearning for since last night. Then another pair of wings was flung around us, and a voice said,"why wasn't I invited to the group hug?"

"Because it wasn't a group hug until you got here," shot back Glory, her words muffled, as she had her snout stuck in my shoulder. True to his name, Deathbringer squeezed us until we were both squealing, and pleading to be let go before we died. Luckily, true to his nature, Deathbringer let us go. "If it isn't my favourite granddaughter," he smiled.

"Ahem, I'm your only granddaughter," I said, and shoved him playfully, which failed, because I'm five and he's twenty-three.

After some fruit, hugged them one last time, and soared off to me and my moms friends, Lily and Caterpillar. I was not prepared for what was there.
