Last time
With that Kurenai and Naruto headed towards the Fire Daimyo's palace.
Now
Kurenai was surprised that Naruto was able to keep up her pace. Though I guess she shouldn't be surprised considering he's able to outrun ANBU but most of the times when he had ANBU chasing him she was either sleeping or on a mission. After a few hours she was starting to get tired and while she wouldn't mind keep going should shinobi try to ambush her she'd rather have more stamina.
"Alright Naruto were going to set up camp here."
Naruto nodded his head and while Kurenai was setting up the tent and he was gathering wood he noticed a bandit camp nearby so he finished up gathering the wood as he headed back.
"Kurenai-Sensei there's a bandit camp nearby, what should we do?"
"We kill them. Naruto we are shinobi so we must kill after all if you want to kill your mother and become the hokage you must get blood on your hands."
Naruto nodded his head and sensei told him that we'd wait until after dinner which was 2 pieces of salmon that they both caught. While they were eating, Kurenai handed him a bingo book and he was curious about what Kurenai's profile says.

After Naruto finished reading he could officially say with great confidence that his sensei is a total badass. Both had finished their meal and now it was time to kill some bandits.
"Alright Naruto-Kun now I'm gonna show you a gen ninjutsu."
"Um Kurenai sensei what's a gen ninjutsu?"
"Good question, it's where a technique has both the attributes of a Ninjutsu while it still messes with the mind or senses like a regular genjutsu. The one I'm going to teach you is called fear mist. Like the name might suggest you create a mist and the people that are in said mist will start to see their worst fears. But the reason why I'm going to teach it to you now is because since it just requires a ton of chakra and the hand signs are pretty easy it's the perfect technique for you. When you use this technique the more chakra you use the stronger it becomes."
So with that Kurenai showed Naruto how to do hand signs and like Kurenai had said it was pretty easy. So with that both headed towards the bandit base.
"Do it now Naruto-Kun"
Naruto nodded his head as he made the signs and a red mist started to surround the bandit camp and he started to hear screams. While he knew that Kurenai was right if he was gonna be able to become the hokage then he had to kill, after all if he couldn't kill a few bandits then how would he be able to kill his mother. While Naruto was thinking about this he didn't realize that the mist was getting thicker and the color is now a crimson red. The screams got louder and louder. You see unlike other mists when Naruto uses this mist thanks to his chakra coils being combined with the kyuubi it acts like a poison to those that inhale the mist. When the screaming stopped he started to realise the mist.
When the mist cleared they could see that the bandits were laying on the ground dead. So both himself and Kurenai started to see if they could find anything useful. Kurenai found a scroll that contained around 200,000 ryo, while Naruo found an Uzumaki scroll that would allow him to use his adamantine chains. Naruto also found a sword in a scroll known as Murasame apparently this sword as the power of a demon. When Kurenai and Naruto found up they both told the other what they found.
"Naruto-Kun, that's great news lucky for you. I know some kinjutsu. Unfortunately I didn't bring my sword with me but when we get back I can have my friend Yugao teach you. As for the other scroll I can't really help you because since I'm not an Uzumaki I wouldn't be able to understand. You see, Naruto, my former sensei told me that only an Uzumaki would be able to understand these scrolls. Since your the only Uzumaki here you'd be the only one who could understand it, besides I can still watch you train and make sure you don't kill yourself."
"Thanks Kurenai Sensei, but I'm curious about your sensei?"
"Well my sensei was your mother"
Naruto's eyes went from hopeful to find if he had any other family to his eyes becoming dull knowing that would never happen.
"I see, thanks for teaching me that Nin genjutsu Kurenai-Sensei without it we'd probably had to fight them face to face."
"Your welcome now since it's getting late lets both head to bed. Since I only packed 1 tent and you forgot to pack your sleeping with me as I don't want to feed you to the wolves just yet."
Naruto was about to argue but the look on Kurenai's face said do as I tell you or else and seeing how she just taught him a technique that literally shows a person's fear he decided not to argue. Once both inside the tent she wrapped her arms around Naruto and he could feel her D-Cup breasts pressing against his back and he enjoyed the feeling of being cuddled by Kurenai. As both fell asleep while one was having a dreamless sleep the other did not.
Kurenai's Dream
We find a little Naruto sitting at the park waiting for his mother. I'd had been 2 weeks since he'd last seen her so he decided to follow her instructions and wait. While he was waiting it was starting to rain but he didn't care he'd wait for his mother even during this weather because he was hated by everyone but she still loved him. At least for a time she did. He didn't know whether she still loved him or not.
While Naruto was musing he didn't see a person coming towards him. He didn't feel the rain anymore so he looked up to find a 16 year old Kurenai Yuhi holding an umbrella.
"Thanks miss but why did you help me? Nobody helps me except my Kaa-San, Grandpa, or Neko nee chan."
Kurenai realised that Naruto must be referring to Yugao when he mentioned Neko, Kushina when referring to Kaa-San and Grandpa referring to the Hokage.
"Well Naruto-Kun I'm a friend of Nekos and she wants you to eat this." So Kurenai handed him a box full of dango.
Naruto's eyes showed surprise. Why would she do this? He didn't know but he was glad that someone else cared for him. As Naruto was about to open a box Kurenai stopped him.
"Why don't we eat inside since it's starting to pour down on us."
"Ok Kurenai-San"
So with that Kurenai took Naruto by the hand and they arrived at a dango shop. Now the owner's best customer is the so-called Snake Whore but he didn't care so, he didn't care if the Demon Brat was in his store or not as long he didn't damage his property he was fine. After Kurenai ordered some Dango for herself they both sat down at a table and they ate.
"Tell me Naruto-Kun why were you outside in the rain?"
"Well I was waiting for my Kaa-San. She told me to wait there around two weeks ago but she still hasn't returned."
Kurenai looked at Naruto's innocent eyes and she couldn't tell him that his mother abandoned him so she changed the subject to the academy and Naruto told her all about it. She could tell that Naruto might have been sabotaged because they way he told her how Mizuki-Sensei would give him special lessons on a more advanced form of Taijutsu stances and how he would always have to stay out of class when they taught anything chakra control related.
So when he asked her about her time at the academy she told him about her time at the academy and how she was able to rise through the ranks similar to that of Kakashi. Once they finished Kurenai took Naruto back to his home.
Afterwards she went to the hokage and every month Neko would deliver a dango box to Naruto, while they'd normally use regular shinobi since the blond is hated this would prevent the owner of the dango shop to have a change of heart.
End Dream
When Kurenai woke up she noticed that Naruto was still asleep so she got up and decided to make some breakfast for the two of them. Naruto after not feeling Kurenai's melons pressed onto his back woke up a few minutes later. When Naruto got up he smelled something really good and he noticed Kurenai cooking some salmon.
"Morning Sensei thanks for making breakfast."
"No problem Naruto-Kun, besides we need our strength if we want to make it to the fire daimyo's palace today."
So after a good breakfast both shinobi headed towards the fire capital and both were heading there as fast as they could. Soon after not making any stops they arrived.
"Kurenai Sensei while here, can I get some shinobi clothes and weapons as the ones I have are mostly worn out." \
Kurenai nodded at her student. After all she knew that while places allowed him to be their it's oftentimes what she refers to the demon tax. It's a tax that only Naruto has to pay were stores can upcharge him as much as they want. So after delivering the scroll. Who was she to deny him something that will not only help him in the long term but also help her in the long run. Sakura was the perfect example. She often were far too much red and was a fangirl and you could smell her perfume a few miles away.
Unlike Naruto who at least had the kyuubi, shadow clones, and her fear mist. He is one who's able to outrun ANBU so if he wears something that makes him look like a shinobi it will be a lot harder to find him then most. While she was in her thoughts she realized that they had arrived at the fire daimyo's palace. So Kurenai walked up to one of the guardian 12 shinobi.
"Excuse me, I was sent here to deliver this scroll to the daimyo himself."
The guardian 12 shinobi looked at the scroll and started to walk in so both Kurenai and Naruto followed suit. When they arrived they saw the daimyo himself. When he saw Kurenai and Naruto he smiled.
"Aw hello you to what do you have for me."
Kurenai handed him the scroll and he smiled. The more he looked at Naruto the more he looked familiar.
"Boy you look very familiar. Oh that's right you look like the 4th Hokage Minato and he had a child tell me boy what's your name."
"Naruto Uzumaki."
"Yes you are indeed Minato's son tell me have you gotten your inheritance?"
"No sure this is the first time I've heard of this."
Now while Naruto was staying calm that's only because Kurenai and the fire daimyo were there. He remembered asking his mother about who his father was but she'd always say that he was too could see the fire daimyo looking a bit displeased.
"Well we're going to fix that. In case something like this were to happen I made a scroll 'that forces you to gain your inheritance. Lucky for you I froze your parents's bank accounts. The first when Minato-San died and the second when Kushina-Chan disappeared. From now on Naruto if anyone in the Leaf is giving you trouble you just send a messenger bird to me and I'll take care of it."
"That's awfully kind of you but why would you help someone like me anyway?"
"Because of how the villagers treated you Naruto. Hiruzen would often tell me about your condition, be it better or worse and if it weren't for the fact that me and Hiruzen have a great relationship, Konoha would no longer exist."
As Naruto was going to take the scroll and leave, Kurenai wanted to make sure that her student that the same price as everyone else.
"Fire Daimyo-Sama if I may (he nodded) could you write a scroll that abolishes the demon tax?"
So as the fire daimyo heard about this tax he was rightly furious. So he was going to abolish the dam civilian council. You see in the fire country at least if a civilian council is established for more than 20 years only the Fire Daimyo can get rid of the council. So he did.
"Thank you Fire Daimao- Sama now my student will be able to get the same opportunity as everyone else."
"No problem anyway I have to go and do some more paperwork. I wish you safe passage to Konoha."
With that one of the guardian 12 shinobi showed them out and they went looking for a store. She noticed a shinobi store and they both walked in. Naruto was trying out some outfits and none of them looked quite right until he walked out with jet black Ninja pants, while wearing a mix of red and black flak jacket. To top it all off he had a a red cape with black flames on the bottom. (Sage mode Naruto's cape.)
Now it was Kurenai's turn and while she didn't buy an outfit she did find a special red ring that one can store up chakra and when is low on chakra they can take back the rings Chakra or she could use the ring to fire off a fire jutsu just by pointing the ring at her opponent and she commands it. With that both of them headed back to Konoha.
